  • Hey do you think you could post the notes?

  • this my friend, is beautiful! well done :)

  • Fella, you nailed it.. Well done. This piece reminds me of my Brother, he's no longer here, but he loved it.. He was a massive PCO fan. You give it justice...

  • Why don't you say "cover" in your heading - anothe "slut" for views? Lard.

  • So jetzt muß ich den Film Malcolm aber unbedingt wieder sehen- bestes Lied wo gibt...

  • @leisi79 I haven't seen the film

  • fantastic wish i could do that

  • i loved it

  • VOTE FOR PEDRO!!

  • This would go great with some death metal cookie monster vocals. RWaAWRRRR!1!!

  • I would love to be able to play like this. Very good that.

  • This is great.

  • One of the reasons that song wasn't boring despite being the same riff over and over, is that while the music is tecnically boring, the instrumentals move in and out in such a way that it sounds different from part-to-part.

  • /watch?v=XlaA_TPMXqY

  • nice song.every time i hear that i think at the movie: its all gone pete tong. great movie btw.

  • Reminds me of the 80's Australian film Malcom!!

  • finally some one can play, all the other covers are absolute bull shit. nice job

  • Great job, dear paulwwells !

    * * * * *

I've put it to my favorites.

  • You are amazing! Got the sheet music for it? Or at least a video tutorial? The only sheet music I've found about this song is only one handed. It's possible to play on right hand alone but your version sounds so much better

  • nice ;)

  • Everytime I hears this, I think about Napolean Dynamite.

  • @MisterPenguinMusic same here. vote for pedro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Very well done! I play also kbd, could you pls give me the sheet if you have one?

  • Well done. Very enjoyable to listen to on a calm afternoon. Thank you.

  • You're welcome :)

  • I think its in 7/8+8/8

  • Very nicely done! Like how you have those little cards on your piano, like visuals!

I just recently got into PCO, and you hit the nail on the head here!

  • It does make it easier to browse through the videos too. And it is quick and very low tech

  • this is so good, do u have the sheet music?

  • nice!

  • Very cool interpretation of this great piece of music :)

  • a very nice cover, paulwwells! I'll be watching your left hand, while I'm dissecting the song. I was going with the right hand only so far, because I think that's how Simon Jeffes is playing it. Thanks!

  • It's the way you say in your comment box at the top:

"Sorry if it's not the exact original,"

Well, you've just made my day, because you can actually play it, like that, just by ear! You're impossible! (metaphorically speaking...)

    Thank you sooo much! =)

  • Thanks for all your comments Snazzaroo; and I'm glad you find this video helpful.

  • So.. iI was going to try and learn keyboard .. we have an old korg.. (My left hand doesnt want to do anything) so ive stopped :(

  • It's much easier to include your left hand than try to do everything with just your right hand :)

  • left hand for me is sooooooo hard.

    i cant keep rhythm

    :(

  • Try practicing with your left hand on the piano and your right hand on your leg.

  • seriouse skill!

  • Thanks :)

  • Really Really cool!

You're like the only one on youtube from who I can learn this song! I'm going to play it on the piano A.S.A.P. Maybe for the piano, i'm going to make the left hand work a little bit more to and play the chords in a different way

  • ...lol Amazing Song!

  • El tema no es Perpetuum mobile, es music for a found harmonium

  • haha, best song EVER xD

  • welcome :)

  • That was pretty good. Post it using ur nose, that'd be hilarious.

  • Hi Baseball - on reflection I think it's best if just use my hands and keep the rest of my anatomy off the keyboard.

  • shame - starts off quite well but you then eschew the "undertone" in favour of using the right hand to vamp. Try again and you might surprise yourself ;-)

  • I've started using my nose for the undertone. Works much better.

  • sorry, no offence intended. Your skill (which is considerable) was not being called into question, simply your interpretation of tInteresting that mine seems to be only comment on your vid that is "negative".

  • Tommy - none taken :)

  • Beautiful!

  • fantastic!!! 5 stars :D

  • Thanks Deacon John

  • Nice. You got the swing just right. Good job. Simon would be proud ;-)

  • Where did you get the sheet music? All i want is the organ part. Very talent btw

  • I last posted a comment on this video about 2 months ago, I haven't found a better video on this song yet, although that is just me, man, you are so good at this song, If you wouldn't ,mind just making a simple tutorial that just like for the first 46 seconds of the video, I want to play at least that much to my dad lol... and i don't know how to read notes nor music... Soo, I'm kinda stuck without a tut. You don't have to but, it would be much appreciated. Again Great video, giving another 5/5.

  • OK - I've made a note of it, I'll do a tutorial in the next few days and let you know :)

  • this would be great if you haven't already done it. sounds amazing

  • i just need the left hand btw

  • nice work man. i was going to learn it by ear, but i'm lazy. i'll just copy you ;)

  • thats been my favourite tune for years, i remember hearing it when i was a kid on some film and ive been trying to find the name of it. the fact that you can actually play it is totally amazing. im off to practice now!

  • It must have been used in more than one film. Napoleon Dynamite was only 5 years ago.

  • it could be the film "Malcolm" its about a guy who loves trains and trams and then stages a bank robbery with his flatmate using gadgets that hes built

  • thats what its called! , just checked it out on imdb. 1986, i wouldve been 14, thanks for that. Im gonna see if i can get it on dvd now :)

  • ive done the same since hearing the tune again. it was hard finding the dvd but got it thru amazon, most ive paid for a dvd ever i think. worth it tho.

  • hey, dude, can you maybe like tell me the notes?

  • I've tried a couple of time to paste the notes in here, but YouTube thinks it's junk and doesn't post it.

  • Wow, that was awesome.

  • Thanks. I like your version too.

  • seriously impressive, im still trying to track down the radio 1 dance version.

  • try Paddy's revenge

  • This is just insperational - when I feel down I just listen to you play - better than the original.

  • Thanks :)

  • Hi Paul - A great version of one of my favourite Penguin Cafe Orchestra tracks. I wish I could knock out a song as good as you play it! I used to play a piano accordian when I was 13 and would probably have stuck with it if I was taught this tune. That was 40 years ago... Anyway, well done mate. Tim UK

  • Hi Tim. Glad you liked it. It was an easy piece to polish because it is so enjoyable to play.

  • That was amazing, added Favorite, 5/5 I'm going to recommend/tell all my friends about this, it's very awesome, thanks for sharing this bro, And hey, you should make some what of a tutorial or something, I'm very interested in learning this piece, it's an amazing piece. Thanks a lot dude, Have a great one.
