i found this movie just because i just watched "Dying Young" by Julia Roberts and Campbell Scott at least 10 times yesterday n today and I fell in love with the movie esp. with Campbell Scott. :) I got interested of his other films,so i Google him. So here I am getting busy reading n watching his work.
This one is beautiful n full of love. LOVE is just a wonderful feeling.

actually I like this movie more. It really shows how much people can connection in a spiritual way from a distance. This is definitely one of my favorite movies.
I first read this in a book a few years ago that my sister borrowed from her elementary library. It was a short story written by Jack Finney and the original characters were named Helen Elizabeth Worley and Jake Belknap. I didn't know it was made into a movie until I watched it last night. I loved the short story but the movie is sooo much better, I must say!
the plot leaves alot to be disired especially at the beginning of the movie but I still love it. Just a touching love story. Would have loved it if they somehow got to together at the end like in The Lake House. Oh well...Thanks for the upload.
this has been my favorite hallmark hall of fame for years...since i saw a little girl and wore out the vhs copy! now i appreciate it for the costumes too as i absolutely love historical fashion especially civil war fashion! just love this movie!

I watch this over and over oh myyyyyyyy thanks a lot so perhaps they were destined to be together in the next life. how sad when caleb was taken gosh life is strange. I liked the way Deb was reasonable instead of trying to hang on, and made the clean break that if Scott didn't love her completely it's best to go.

Thank You for uploading this. This is my favorite Hallmark movie. It would be so awesome if this could really happen between two people in real life. I think everyone, even those of us who won't admit it; want a love that burns like fire and moonlight. My favorite parts were when Scott and Lizzie 'sensed' each other on the stairs. And, when Scott meets Beth in the graveyard at the end.

What a beautiful movie. I absolutely loved the part where Elizabeth and Scott were,during different time periods, both on the staircase in her house, yet through time could sense and feel each other.
I felt bad for Scott's fiance, because she deserved to have a happy ending. You could tell she loved Scott very much. However, I liked the ending and how he met "Elizabeth" in his time, so to speak.
I think you missed the point, Scott did the right thing by not marrying someone he wasn't truly in love with. If he had gone through with the marriage he probably would have never met Elizabeth who is his soul mate.
@LizBen77 Weather he met his 'soulmate', had this miracle happen, reincarnation and all, he SHOULDN'T have married the woman he didn'l love - FOR THAT WOMAN'S SAKE!
I agree with Dahud82, the acting of JJ Leigh is really weak. I wonder why the casting director couldn't find a beeter actress for this so important part. There are so many good ones out there.
Oh well. I still liked the story line, though. Time travel si something I've always drem of.
My favorite time travel romantic movie is "Somehwere in time" with Christopher Reeve. It's also to cry your eyes out. Beautiful and the score is an Oscar winning one. Great movie.

You can usually find Hallmark movies at the Hallmark stores, that's where we bought this movie. Thanks for uploading! This movie was one of my favorites when I was little for some reason. But I couldn't fully appreciate it then as I do now, now being able to pick up on key plot points and also, of course, having experienced love myself. Thanks! If you have any more old Hallmark movies, it'd be cool to see them again...

"And neither will I" from the short story, though. That's the part that really got the tears going for me while I read it.
