  • Because the less protection you have, the safer you are

  • @kakakowie3 wut

  • nice board!

  • sick slippers

  • Hey what's your setup?(:

  • @TheFearless707 at the time: fiji sunrise deck, sidewinder trucks, generic bearing that sec9 loaded it with, 69mm sec9 wheels. My current setup is basically the same thing, but with Retro 80a 70mm zigzags wheels and bones reds bearings. real cool for old skool styles of riding.

  • @TRUMPETGUY69 Stfu.

  • is that a Nicaragua?

  • @breezeman120 nahhh it's a sector 9 fijisunrise.

  • Amazing truck! I've got one from the same series. Really amazing!

  • hey what kind of wheels and size do you have on your board. im trying to find some good sliding wheels and these look pretty good. im getting the new sector nine green flash and it comes with 69mm 78a wheels. thats what i have on my other sidewinder but need some better wheels. any suggestions?

  • @longboardlover22 hey dude, the wheels that are on this board are 69mm 78a sector 9 ones. Probably not much different than the ones that are coming on your board. I changed these over the years to retro zigzags lime. They were cool. quite grippy...and they would do little old skool slides. Check out Orangatang Stimulus 70mm 86a wheels for sliding. Or you can get the 83a versions for more grip + sliding. Great in-between wheel.

  • Girls that can Skate= HOT

  • can you slide nice with these trucks??

  • @sjanussjon these were just good for old skool types of stuff. Small slides, carving, banks, bowls. They make the board quite high.

  • @iPropelBoards okee thx but can you do shovits, manuals en that kind of stuff??

  • @sjanussjon the trucks really don't matter with that. you can do anything on any type of board or trucks when it comes to tricks....it's just easier or harder depending on the type. Manuals are good on this. never did shovits. I'm riding the Apex 37 right now, it's a bit more versatile than this board.

  • marry me?

  • bob eponja style! hahaha

  • awesome swim wear. Very conservative and soulful. I cant believe you're skating in those....slippers? looks like sanuk sandles. I'd be too worried about hurtin my feet >.<

  • @Aleckael thank you! hahaa i cant believe i used to skate in those as well....they got quite torn up. sanuks are amazing though

  • @Aleckael Sanuks are all i skate in or barefoot its nore exciting and looks way cool ona video

  • this video its pretty chill, i like it.. i think its the mix between soft longboarding and the song.. keep it fresh

    pura vida

  • What kind of board is that? Were you using risers?

  • @kevinguy247 sector 9 fijisunrise. and yeah, it came with risers.

  • @MrWsuboy10 there horrible

  • What could be sexier than a girl that longboards?

  • Now that's my kind of girl

  • i was so interested in the board i didnt know this was a chick until like the end of the video xD

  • i like agirl that skates =]

  • I have the green flash and that board is amazing

  • i think im going to buy one, do you think they are good?

  • im lovin those muffin tops!!! hell ya!

  • nice sanuks

  • you look so innocent just rideing around

  • @MrWsuboy10 not sure dude. They're probably not bad. the wheels i use on the board currently (not in this video) are retro zigzag limes. 70 mm 83a. pretty sweet. grip when you need them...you can still slide a bit. I hear Orangatang wheels are nice too. check them out.

  • @iPropelBoards Limes are 80a. Lemons are 83a.

  • @nerdpoke ooo my bad on that one. not sure why i assumed that.

  • @MrWsuboy10 yeeeup, those are 70's. i never got wheelbite so you'll be good dude.

  • dude please tell me!! what secor 9 deck that is, trucks too? please thanx

  • @aswkg it's a fijisunrise deck 33 inches w/ gullwing sidewinders. the latest model like this is called the "green flash".

  • im in love

  • i just reread the thread completely. i'm in new York and i didn't mean hills like slaloms, just the occasional street that inclines. It was dangerous going down a steep one on the sidewinder, but i wrote that original post a while ago.

I can actually handle the speed pretty well now. You just have to be extra sensitive.

I would've gotten the drop thru deck but i like having a tail to manipulate.

  • thought u were a guy at first..o.o

  • lol skating with sandals xD

  • yes a chick longboarding. awsome

  • ... hold up its a chick ?

  • @Tall747 at first thought it was a dude just with out a top onhaha

  • cute chick, cute video. I own a sidewinder section 9. Not sure if reflection or other.

This doesn't handle hills well. Because of the risers & 2X kingpin trucks, it's a pain for simple cruising. Every kick is like doing a squat. There is no casual cruising. You commit to kicking off or you're not moving.

i went down to wheel 65, got ceramic bearings, and took off the risers. now i'm thinking of taking off the kingpin, using indie trucks and bringing back the risers to avoid wheel bite.

  • @bastardluv Careful taking off the risers, though. A lot of times you end up with cracks in the board, and you need a new board anyway, at which point it would've been better to just get a second board that's better for downhills.

  • @872463051 the funny thing with me is that there really is no "downhills." It's just commuting and cruising. I just like the look of the sidewinder and the fact that it's not like carrying a surf board around.

  • @bastardluv Yea, I know what you mean with downhills. I lived in Florida most of my life, which is literally the flattest state in the US, and there are NO hills there, unless you find a parking garage. However, I just moved to Boston, and there are downhills, and it's definitely fun and something to try. If you are just pushing, I would definitely not get these trucks, though. The only time I would do that is if you have a drop-through deck.

  • Are you using 78a wheels because they look majorly soft haha

looking to be 70 mm to ?

  • Nice carving :D And also if you don't mind me saying your pretty damn good looking too :L Great vid keep it up

  • nice ! im happy to see a girl do some longboard.continue comme sa! ya rien dmieux que daller sdefoncé sur sa planche

  • hella sick i have a sector 9 bambo board an i love to see other ppl on them

  • nice....

  • :DDDD omg your so coool

  • nice reverts :D

  • Fucking A, a chick who docent ride like they just jumped on the board, keep it up and learn some dancing (just not on that board o.0 )

  • aight say i got these sidewinder trucks and put em on a mini board, would it mess up my manuals?

  • @evansoffthewalll Depending if you mean a regular skateboard...then i wouldn't recommend it. There'd be a chance you would get wheel bite. You could always get the "reflections" board off the Sidewinder series. Basically identical to this one....carves like a longboard, yet short enough to mess around on embankments and parks.

  • @iPropelBoards yeah best style :D il like the song also. I've to learn to do the brake like you do. i've got the new model of sidewinder, love that board. see yaa!

  • @iPropelBoards hey! cool the video, like the music. i've got the new model of the sidewinder. It's lower than the older one, so more stable. You change the trucks? 'cause it turns super fast your longboard. I've to learn to brake with my board. see yaa

  • Can i put the gullwing charger hanger to this trucks?

  • okay then

  • i am thinking of getting a Sector 9 Ala Moana longboard and it comes with gullwing sidewinder trucks. Are they good? do they carve well at low and high speeds? or are they unstable?

  • do you find this board unstable?

  • @SuperJman37 it's not stable when going down steep hills. It's only used for small hills and flats.

  • @iPropelBoards yeh iv been looking at these trucks but i love charging my hills and wasnt sure if id get crazy speed wobble if i got these trucks? think i might need to get 2 boards cause them trucks look like sweet fun for crusing through town!

oh, and YES defantly need to see more girls longboarding!! soo much fun

  • yer beautiful.

  • is this the reflections version?

  • @SuperJman37 yes sir, it's just the 2006 model.

  • Where do you live?! the streets there look so smooth lol

  • ooo nice same board ahah except mines a wreck XD

  • Hi Guys,

Im 13 Yrs old and i have recently got into longboarding in the last few months, ive always wanted to get a longboard and now that i have i love it.

Every week i post videos on my channel so please come and check out my videos for any ideas and advice.

    Thanks, Liam.

  • i had that same board, i think. but those trucks are so fun to get in a tight turn.

  • Just got a Never Summer with some sidewinders and Seismic Speed Vents, gnar setup brah. Love those sidewinders though.

  • I just got a bamboo series and I can thank your video for proving these trucks lol.

  • I just got a sector 9 and I love carving hard, so I'm thinking about the Sidewinders vs the originals.

My board's the shipsterns off the bamboo series and I can thank your video for proving these trucks lol.

  • @LoakySuperDank that board is sick. Glad ya enjoy the sidewinders :)

  • @LoakySuperDank please, for the love of god do not buy a sector 9 or an original skateboard, if you want quality for your money without the risk of wheel bite or broken parts buy a loaded dervish the original and sector 9 brands have these problems and it ruins ur longboard experience

  • Is that the Reflections model of the Sidewinder series?

  • @NinjaBurglar Yep, this is just the 2006 model. But they are built the same.

  • L O A D E D or L A N D Y A C H T Z

    sector9 sucks

  • Clearly you enjoy them since you look up videos entitled "sector 9".

  • @ItTastesLikeJAM Original dont forget original

  • @ElKuzdumLongboards ok original is nice too

  • I'm thinking of getting an Apex 34 from original. Seems niiiice.

  • sanuk shoes?

  • @rawrxrawr9 yep, they are the most amazing shoes on the planet. i think :x

  • @iPropelBoards THEY ARE NOT SHOES there sandals lol

  • @ElKuzdumLongboards You are seriously awesome for catching that mistake hahaha :D

  • nice board ,,,do u know if Arbor boards r good ones? is it a good brand?

  • @greg95lloyd I'm sure they are good. I just never really looked into them much. Originals and Sector 9 are the boards i really like. It all depends on what you really want. :)

  • oh well thank you... now i bought one last week.. an Arbor Pin Bamboo 46inch and wow.. what a great board.. my friend has a Sctor 9 Pipeline 46 inch and ..aswell..like u say they r really good boards.. thanks for answering anyways and byee

  • No problem. Glad you're enjoying the board!!

  • wow i luv that song ;Dand awsome vid ! ;D

  • Can sidewinders U turn easily?

im just looking for a cruising and carving board, ive had my eye on original boards for a real long time, i have an s9 board but now im thinking that i should still go with s9 boards?

    :)

  • Yes, definitely! I just had to adjust them a bit and loosen them up when i first got it. The Terrapin 34 from Originals seems similar to this one except it doesn't have a kicktail. But they both have the "surf" feel people look for. Personal preference i guess :) It just doesn't agree with steep hills, nor does the terrapin.

  • I just got that board today. Not to many hills in my neighborhood but this thing has worked out amazing. Very fun, totally recommend this board to anyone who is interested in carving it up.

  • hi!

    nice skateboard. (:

    greetings from hungary!

    peace

  • Which Board is built for speed most likely? The Sidewinder or The Bamboo

  • @SonicPorcupine Sidewinders can go fast, but they a terrible on steep hills because of there double-trucks. A lot of the bamboo series are build for speed and hills. But if you are just looking for a fast carving board for flats and beginner hills then this one will work perfectly.

  • sweet thats cool a girl is longboarding im a dude i would like to see more girls to do this!

  • @phonedogfan you should come to brazil, man! here near the beach you see many girls riding their own longboard, it;s nice to see beatyful girls carving and stuff

  • @phonedogfan im a girl and im learning! :D

  • what board is that???

  • its a Sector 9 fijisunrise. This is a 07 model, check on their site at the "sidewinder series"... The Dawn Patrol board is the newest one that looks and rides like this. peace, dude!
