he is the cousin of the 95 world series of poker main event champ "Action Dan" Dan Harrington. a while ago dan told a funny story.

it was shortly aftter he won the miilion bucks from the Main event. he visited his mom and told her that he won One Million Dollar, she only said "nice" . but suddenly she began to talk totaly excited and proud : " you heard from your cousin patrick how he won 90k at a golf tourney?" XD

that has got to be one of the most average looking swings in the game! His balance throughout is awful, he loses it more often than not! Got to give him some credit he did win three majors. may have the same number as els and singh but he is nowhere near their class!

i love the swing up untill the finish. his hands are way too close to his head. doesnt look like a pro at the finish. overall great fundamentals, its easy to see why hes so good

he doesn't have to use wilson woods so he changes up a lot. He has never used a wilson 3 wood but uses their 5 their driver and 5 and hybrid. He really liked their dd6+ and won his majors with that. Then he switched to their Smooth which is a very long club but its giving him fits

no man some shafts have forward bend to create high launch without excess spin

Any shaft that's well-matched--going back even to the steel-shaft days--will flex forward some through impact (also a little toe-down, because of the heel-down pressure put on the club at the change of direction).

it flexes toe down but not forward, maybe if his hands suddenly stopped right before impact the club would kick forward.

ok shafts do bend forward a lil bit but defintiely no that much. it just looks like that due to the camera

His change in swing has made him quite a big hitter.

In the PGA hes had a fair few biggest drives on holes but his accuracy has been absolutely terrible. Hes hitting 33% of fairways these days but going 300+ yards far more.
