what i liked about him is that no matter what happened he always seemed to be one step ahead, or seemed to still have the upper hand. he only let her leave after he had embarrassed her, and crushed her will, letting her know that she will sell him full ownership of her mine, she will get nothing else he will not share it, and he will tell her how much she will sell it for. and if she doesn't like it she will be targeted and have to walk escorted to her home to make sure she gets there alive.
I love how she played Alma. The way she speaks seems so flirty but she;'s just clueless as to what is really going on and how to behave around these terrible people.
@msa1985 - That's one of the things I love most about this scene. She's so excited and proud of herself for handling her business on her own for the first time....and she has no idea what she's getting herself into.
@The3Peaches just fucking incredible casting. Milch is great at casting. even the damn Pinkerton agents, which would have been unmemorable throw-away characters under another "creator", stuck out so much. Great casting with great delivery
