  • Guildeeed...CUUUUUUUUNT!!!

  • You dont throw stuff at Metal Bands if your going to throw shit throw it at fucking MCR or bring me the horrizon those faggot emo bands not Metal bands if they was Emo then why would be at Bloodstock then?

  • I was right at the front for this and punched some prick stood next to me because he was saying Cradle were shit and putting a downer on it. I was just like, jeez if you don't like it fuck off somewhere else!!

  • I am a big fan of cradle of filth, they are one of my favourite bands, but i still respect other people's opinions, whether they simply hate cradle of filth the most or not. however, what i do not respect, are little idiots who think they rule the roost around a festival just because they feel the need to take out a member of a band, cutting the show short. what about the people who are here to see cradle of filth and respect them? people like you should go back to your pathetic little hole.

  • @musicalkaratekid dude.. the sound of the gobstopper hitting paul's back was more musically viable than the entire discography of cof

  • @SergeiMikhaus HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Best comment EVER.

  • i just dont get the point of bottling.. fucks the gig for people taht do actually want to watch. its a festival.. if you dont like the band.. dont bother watching them. go and play on the fucking dodgems

  • How is this a shock to anyone really, they're playing with true bands, likely allot of true metal fan their, they are going to get bottled, quite frankly i enjoyed it.

  • "True" bands? Like Europe you mean? Or what about Anathema, who are essentially a soft-rock band?

Cradle had every right to be there. A successful British heavy metal band at a British heavy metal festival ... what's so fucking confusing about that? Whether you like them or not has nothing to do with it - most of the hate is all bandwagon anyway because Dani's a bit of a ho.

  • @ChurchInAshes True? What? Sorry but thats just stupid. Cradle are one of Britains biggest metal acts, they have every right to be on the Bloodstock stage

  • @ChurchInAshes 'True' metal fans respect one another, not like you, fag.

  • @ChurchInAshes No such thing as 'True metal fans' my friend. Watch 'Infidel Amsterdam'.

  • I've been to two gigs this year where some fucking piece of shit ruins it for everyone else: This and Morrissey at Liverpool Echo Arena (where he left after the second song)

What kind of a country are we living in where people have such little respect? This kind of shit doesn't happen anywhere near as often in mainland Europe or even the states.

  • yeah they had to bail because somebody threw a ball at paul and injured him!!!

  • the beginning reminds me of hex at alton towers

  • Ellylon!!!

    amazing

  • what heppened out there ? did someone throw something at the band ?

  • yeah, apparently it was a gobstopper.

i was too far away to see properly what it was, but that's what everyone's saying.

  • yeah. go to cradle's myspace. they have a blog explaining what happened.

  • Did nobody realise they finished 10 minutes AFTER THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO? We just helped them along.. :)

  • I agree with Bazmogasm there was fuck all security could have done. They can hardly catch a gobstopper or w/e mid air and I doubt they could have seen it. I think Musically the band are tight but Danni just can't do the vocals which he records/overdubs. Mean half the time when he was trying to hit high notes his voice just faded. However I was happy they played "under huntress moon" and some old classics. Shame it was cut short tho.

  • Not saying what happened was right, but Dani don't help issues! He's a cock!

  • I blame the extremely shite security for there early leave off stage

  • The security couldn't have done fuck all, the guy who threw the gobstopper was near me just behind the pit. Do you want every last person in and out of the gates searched for anything heavy?

  • haha they got scared away!!!

  • nice crowd..not...

  • sound is very bad !

  • MA CHE CAZZO EA STA MERDA????!!!!!!!

  • que?

  • i thought it was pretty funny when they went off stage

i was there with a few friends who wanted to watch them.. and they thought they sucked too. and the crowd emptied out throughout their set loads.

they sound was terrible, and they are a woeful band

  • you are quite right. I actually was a fan of the music, but that whole sorry exc use of a performance ruined it for me.

No one likes Dani anyway. Weird little poison dwarf

  • the lamest part of everything dani does is when he does his little hop/jumping thing on stage like he's really excited haha

plus the whole corpse paint sucks

  • if you see them live they kick ass

dani's voice for dusk and her embrace, cradle to enslave, cthulhu dawn all still kick ass

dont judge a band by youtube vids

  • you stupid- read all the comments. I was at Bloodstock and I am talking about them live. It was terrible. They didn't even make an effort. Dani's voice was EXCEPTIONALLY BAD. Dani talked a load of pants about nothing and then continued to be lacklustre as a frontman and a human.

they sucked big wet floppy donkey dick.

  • very very true!

  • someone somewhere pointed out that regardless of where it came from in the crowd, it is nearly impossible to continue at a high enough velocity to actually cause that much pain or damage.

I have to say, this has all been blown out of proportion. And, there are a lot of apologists here for the fact that COF weren't even trying to play a good show.

Would someone care to point out where exactly I said I condone pelting artists with missiles? Cuz I'm fairly sure that didn't happen.

  • I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that te gobstoppers were being launched at the stage with a catapault

  • to be fair, the 'security' were just sitting around not cheking for anything but alcohol, so if someone had a catapult they would have got it into the arena. Still- a giant gobstopper doesn't really fit well into the kind you get at a shop. I think that's possibly not true

  • Who ever threw it is just an idiot, they ruined it for themselves..

IN MY OPINION.. They were the best black metal their, Satyricon were terrible.. So only Moonspell were left and they were mediocre.

Fucking immature prick, that was so stupid it ruined the 2nd day in my opinion

  • satyricon were better than cradle :P

  • Why did they have to go off half way through that really pissed me off.

  • the guy who did it is now wanted by the FBI for attemted murder according to british press!

(or at least you would think so by all the hype around this sweet throwing story)

"rock star gets hit with a bubblygum on stage!!"

  • Yes... because the FBI 's jurisdiction exceeds that of its namesake the FEDERAL government...

  • Not my favorite band in any sense, and the sound wasnt overly good (was only there for the first few mins), but who ever through shit at them should be shot.

  • I've never really been a fan of Cradle's stuff, but throwing shit at a performer on stage is cowardly bullshit any way you look at it.

  • @Mirrorrim if u were there ud understand. i mean its bad, but in this case deserved

  • @CR4ZYN1NJA I was there, and they didn't deserve it one bit. All they were doing was getting on with their songs. I don't see how you would justify that statement.

  • @PeasantofMercia well the fact that the crowd went down from about 1000 people to about 200 spoke for itself. sorry man but they were just awful.

although looking back now, 4 months after i wrote that, i will agree that maybe it was a bit harsh. but at the same time, somebody had to shut them up.

  • @CR4ZYN1NJA Well if you don't like them the wise thing to do is just stop listening and walk away. However, I didn't meet many wise people at bloodstock so I guess I can't expect any better.

  • @PeasantofMercia i did walk away, i stayed cos my mate wanted to see them play Nymphetamine, then i walked. went backstage (im a crew member, friends with the family who own the place) and saw Dani walk off stage, pretty upset tbh, like he was litterally about to cry - and that isnt me taking the piss...poor guy :(

anyways, as much as i liked the idea at the time, i gotta say, it was pretty uncalled for...

  • @CR4ZYN1NJA What was bad about their performance? The camera quality is awful and I can't even tell what song they're playing.

  • i heard that this incident will be on a TV crime show. The gobstopper has been taken away for DNA test to find the offender!

Has it been on english tv news yet? anyone got a clip?

  • confectionary watch uk

  • TV crime show?? Where did you hear that?

  • you need to go die somewhere... slowly

  • you, sir, are a douchebag.

  • It was a cricket-ball sized gob stopper

And those things are bloody heavy.

    -_-

  • okay, I'll go to your work place and throw things at you whilst you're doing your job becuase I don't think you're always putting in 100%

seeing as you seem to think that it's fine to do that

  • frankly ,if you knew what I did for a living and you saw me slacking you'd be pretty goddam angry.

If you give someone the honour of headlining and they proceed to behave as though they don't give a rats ass, its going to piss people off.

  • @theJE55 so that's a good reason to try to paralyze somebody yeah???

  • Comment removed

  • He was put in hospital. It was larger/heavier than a cricket ball. Next day he came back/rode his bike away! Dani Filth who said he had no hard feelings towards their fans&loved being at Bloodstock. They only sold 6 of the giant gobstoppers all festival weekend. They have the desc. of the guy so hopefully they will get him when they trawel the footage from the festival/fans cams.

Hope everyone else enjoyed the overall festival as much as I did, it was an amazing weekend and the best BOA yet!

  • It was a giant gobstopper and was the same size and weight of a cricket ball, and the midic said if it hit someone in the head at that speed it could've killed them!

The Guitarist was hit in his lower spine meaning he couldn't move when he fell to the ground.

I for one really disslike 'New CoF, but i still respect them simply for their early classics, and would never throw anything at them, it's just not cool!

And whoever threw it at him just shows he's less of a Metalhead!

  • totaly agree there,i was also there. The sound was bobbins at the start but did pick up..just as THEY started getting into it they stopped...and rightly fucking so..What a complete cock who thought he had the right to abuse a band putting on a show that thousands of people have paId for at jepardy? What a complete SHIT!

  • Great intro, but pity you could hardly here the vocals for the first couple of songs. I can see myself freaking out down the front. Sure I scared Dani with my best twisted grimace and death grunt (still haven't got my voice back).

  • someone did a bad thing to Paul...that fucker gonna get it

  • it wasnt just one gobstopper thrown, there where 7 found on stage...someone obviously didnt like them.

  • was actually 6

the stall selling gobstoppers only sold 6 the whole fest... all to the same guy haha

i saw the one that hit the guitarist when i was gettin lunch backstage on monday before heading home and fucking hell it was like a bigger harder cricket bat

  • can't believe someone knocked out the guitarist

  • you can't believe someone knocked out the guitarist? Neither can I! How somebody could knock him out by hitting him in the lower back is beyond me. Then to watch him walk off the stage while unconscious was just mind blowing.

  • He wasen't unconscious!! he got hit hard on his spine and couldn't move when he fell to the ground.

  • i know he wasn't unconscious, i was also there. The day I see a guy walk around while unconscious is the day I donate my face to a good cause.

  • why cant they get their sound working properly at festivals, there a brilliant band but they arent that great live purely cos certain areas disappear in the mix

  • the sound was perfect for all the bands, Cradle just realy had probelms with singing live. he realy struggled

  • sorry i missed out a bit i meant 2 say that only cradle had problems i agree the sound was perfect everywhere else quality festival as always

  • Blind Guardian's sound was spot on, so maybe the sound guy got drunk... or didn't like them...?

  • 3:11 the backdrop is hilarious

  • they were pretty shocking tbh

i was gonna leave like 5 minutes in

    i'm glad i stayed now

purely for the lols more than anything =D

  • Why oh why did someone chuck that gob-stopper. I was at the front for 3 hours waiting to see CoFmore than any other band. :(

  • yeah i agree with you there, i was at the front for a while too waiting for cradle, it felt like they took a while to actually come on stage, that had to be one of the longest sound checks in bloodstock.

cradle have to be one of my fav bands too, nothing against them, but they did seem to be struggling at points.

hope Paul is ok, hope they caught the bastard who did it,
