@glukometr2 I wouldn't be able to tell you, it just says in the manual and brochure it is "Detergent Aware" and adapts itself to different detergents.  Bosch dishwashers are the same

Ok, that's what I've found in BSH service book:

"If combined detergent products (e.g. 3 in 1) are used, the drying result will be worse. To improve the drying result, a special programme se-quence with less water is started in the intermediate rinse cycles. In addition, the final rinse temperature is increased by 3K (as for inten-sive drying). The heat exchanger is filled a second time in the drying cycle with the saved water for subsequent drying support. [...]

@glukometr2 Makes sense... when I use tablets it does an extra rinse before the rinse cycle, which heats up... this might be part of the Detergent Aware function! x

So this function only changes drying and final rinsing. Doesn't do antyhing with salt and water hardness.

@whirlpoolking It runs the drain pump for a few seconds so you can hear the quieteness of the dishwasher in the showroom. John Lewis does this lol

@lucasmartinipontes Aww that's a shame. I know a lot of people can't afford them (like me) but so many people on here don't like them just because they can't afford them and pretend they're rubbish to make their cheaper machines look better. I would love to be able to afford one :-(
