  • how do you make the noise? :D

  • i have the same pedal what drum preset and with bigger than my body preset did you change it at all

also what tempo is the drum beat

  • @bobbyt912 I'm not sure on the drum beat preset and I don't have my adrenalinn with me. You could try hunting around on the roger linn website. Or if you go to program 150 (i think) the drumbeat with that program is the one you are looking for. tempo is 117. Other than the amp stuff which I am always changing, I think i adjusted the mix a little bit, and the resonance so pre-chorus strumming was a little more audible. If you have more questions let me know and I'll try to answer them better

  • are you micing the amp or what? details on your amp and tone settings!

  • @yoshmon No amp. I'm just using one of the amp models built into the adrenalinn. I think for this one i'm using the fender deluxe amp model.

  • @tenntitans24 what are your settings then on the adrenalinn it sounds like you really cranked up the arp effect on the preset

  • So who wants to explain to a person who doesn't really know anything advanced about guitars how this works exactly :)

  • @hersheykissie12 It's an arpeggiator effect. Basically it plays a set sequence of notes in addition to what you play. yea... hopefully that makes sense. haha.

  • are you turning the effect on and off during this video? never used one of these. are you looping at all? best version on youtube i've seen!!

  • @cromeboy Thanks! The pedal basically syncs the arpeggiator and drumbeat and repeats every 2 measures. So i guess you could say the effect is looped, but none of the playing is.

  • Ahhh, all this time I thought that John was playing that little riff line at the end of each phrase himself! Turns out its actually an effects pedal!

  • @Jeremy42ification ME TOO! i was amazed every time!! hahaha

  • Hey could you say what exactly you changed in the preset, i really like how there is more audible arpeggio and less string noise. (P.s. what was the amp model in you changed as well?)

    Thanks!

  • @adaadw11 I'm constantly changing it because i get it how i like it, then come back months later and think it doesn't sound that good, so I'll tell you what i have it at right now, and it might be slightly different than what's in the video, but overall pretty similar.

FX-DRY 89, RESON 87, AMP Ftr, BOOST 40, AMPVOL 79, DRIVE 30, BASS 63, MID 51, TREBLE 60, (POST TREBLE 10), COMP DRIVE 10, (FX ORDER mAC). I think that's pretty much it, the ones in parentheses are details settings.

  • Fender usa deluxe right?

  • @sahinsonmez correct.

  • @tenntitans24 any fret buzzz problem with it? Mex deluxe right?

  • First electric guitar cover of this song that I like.

  • @paulefty thanks!

  • Made me shed some tears :')

  • i dont have an adrenalinn III but i need one , i found a way to play it without the pedal but its realy hard because i have to physically do what the arpeggiator does for you and it doesnt sound as good

  • what exactly did you change from the preset

  • @WizardHobie14 from comment below: "i think i changed the resonance a little bit so the arpeggiator was more audible during the pre-chorus when it's just strumming muted strings. I also changed the amp model cause i didn't like how it sounded. "

  • Is this effect box in any way usable for live stuff?

  • Yea. John mayer uses it live. The only thing is that they are beat-synced effects, so you will have to have some sort of midi interface with your drummer to keep time... I think.

  • did you adjust it from the regular preset?

  • I don't think I did.

  • wait. sorry, wrong video. yes i did adjust this one. i think i changed the resonance a little bit so the arpeggiator was more audible during the pre-chorus when it's just strumming muted strings. I also changed the amp model cause i didn't like how it sounded.

  • is that direct from the guitar or did you put drive before/after that pedal?

coz that adrenalinn preset with just clean sounds kinda limp

great playing, tho the sequence gets off around 1:30

  • @ripstick91 there was no drive pedal, that's just guitar->adrenalinn->computer. I think alot of the "limp" sound comes from not running through a speaker or amp. When I run it through my amp it sounds much better, but i have no mics so i couldn't mic an amp for this vid.

  • @ripstick91 oh, and about it being off at 1:30, if you listen to the song, it actually is off at that point.
