please somebody explain this to me cause hurting is not a way to treat any kind of person . and dont come with " you wouldn't understand" i really can't if nobody is able to try
i just don't get i'm chocked...wudang kung fu is my favorite but after i watched this i'm kinda disapointed... what does this all mean ?? i mean.. does they really hit the kids for no reason ? if somebody says yes i'll be very sad cause it just don't make any sense ...kung fu is about stop fighting it's about protect not this. this kid just leaves...and i like .. ._. wow ... i was happy till part 5 can somebody explain this to me? i'm angry now!
What is the difference between Wudang style and Shaolin style? My feeling is that the old woman lived so long mainly because she exercised and had a good diet, not just because of Wudang.
Concerning the beatings, you know how China is concerning human rights. If they were in a Western country, they would have gotten sued and closed down.
Beating is a part of the education. Stupid liberal Europeans, all drunken and drugged hippies, will never understand that. War is part of life, as well as peace. Creating a world without conflicts is impossible. We need self-discipline, martial arts training in order not to be part of the conflicts and to avoid them. However, to learn not to fear, you to go through pain and fear.
@FoieGras i also do not agree with beating until scarring, that just way too much but sometimes beating is necessary and yes in the west you guys are way to soft, how is it possible for a child to call on child services and have their parents go to jail!??! that is worse then beating until scarring for most part.
@goodforthemoney IN ASIA IT IS IN OUR CULTURE TO BEAT STUDENTS,IT HAS BEEN LIKE THIS FOR HUNDREDS THOUSANDS OF YEARS PLEASE DO NOT BE AN IGNORANT FOOL.AAT SKOOLS,MARTIAL ART SKOOLS,RELIGION SKOOLS TEACHER BEAT STUDENTS SO WE GET IT AND RESPECT THE ELDERS.NOT LIKE YOUR CULTURE AS WESTERNER,IT IS NOT BULLSHIT YOURS MAYBE BULLSHIT BUT OURS IS NOT,DO NOT MAKE ASSUMPTIONS ABOUT OTHER CULTURE WHEN U DONTKNOW SHIT!!IGNORANT FOOL
I visited WuDang in 2008. Since, I have become a Philosophical Daoist. I remember that the long climb up those 20,000 stone steps made my wife and I look within. Climbing to the peak was like rising out of our past. Coming down made me feel like the man in Plato's cave analogy, but in the end it took months for it to sink in. Never the less, it changed my outlook on life and I found my way, my tao. It had always been the path under my feet, I just could never see it before. Thanks for posting
oh wow~ that sounds amazing. I actually just checked your account and see we both have an interest for airsoft! haha.
I have a question as I have been very lost these few months after being exposed to dao, spiritualism and the likes... After you find your way, is it possible to live in modern society? I feel as if I can't find my way with the modern society I am in and the type of university life I live, that I want to just escape to wudang mountain.
If you read my site you can see that I visited most of the top Buddhist sites in the world during my year travelling, and this has absolutely changed me. The trick, I find, is to practice the 8-fold-path, while - as a Daoist - form a view of reality that enables the freedoms Daoism has over Buddhism.
Wudang is in Hubei province which is the home land of the ancient Chu State. The Chu people produced numerous Sages and generals and writers, and is one of the dominant states of Ancient China. But sadly, we had nevered ruled China like many other did, for some reason, we are always the second strongest who got conquered by other chinese states over and over again in history, lol.
The Chinese census, is not acurate, regarding male/female population figures; because Chinese couples favor sons, millions of abandoned girls fall through the cracks in the system, the problem Chinese men have in finding brides, is not so much that there aren't enough women, but, so many abandoned girls, end up becoming prostitutes when they get older, and often, they are not registered in the system.
Chinese men value virginity, or at the very least, a very small number of prior sex partners; owing to the sheer number of girls simply abandoned in China, "suitable brides" are difficult to find because no man wants to marry a prostitute.

like any of you care
like any of you will
could or can
as far as martial artsit are beatings are for the incompenatant teacher not the slow to learn student
as afr as parenting is concerned a woman who choses or man who choses the loev fo their genitlas over there children isnt a mother
a surrogat father who doesnt love his wifes child or chidlren doesnt love her nor himself
being a parent is harder than any other of lifes `journeys`

Please tell me what kind of compasion is this when the little girl said that her so called master beats them untill they have scars, that is bullshit

Either that or we're too soft here in the west, outlawing beatings at all in schools (not that I support beating until scarring).

It is not polite in traditional chinese views to insist on wanting to see someone cry.

If it wasn't for Mt. Wudang, that would be Jade Dragon's fate.

I am sure the film crew talked her into leaving.

thats rather silly to think. They would not want her to return to an abusive situation. That would be great folly.
