I love Maks, I really love him. But this was just too bad, Hope doesn't deserve that. I think his emotions and his frustration are just overwhelming. And he feels misunderstood. I'm really waiting for the old maks I love, and I hope he'll take a season off, and come back with a strong partner and win this thing.
As much as I love Maks, I think he just needs a break from the show. At least one season off. He's an amazing dancer, choreographer and such a cool guy but it looks like the emotions and frustration is just starting to build up. With partner like Hope (not learning very quickly, not showing that much improvment) he just gets frustrated and can't really execute himself. What he was with Mel B or Brandy was just magical but I haven't seen that Maks in a very long time and I really miss that.

It is obvious Maks is trying 2 get eliminated; I believe it is at Hope's request. She is ready 2 go home, as this is not a situation where she can shine like she does n her world of Soccer. Hope meant what she said n 1 of her backstge comments. She said she couldn't do this anymore; tired of getting the same scores (8s). So yeah, I'd say she is ready 2 go like yesterday. Only problem, judges can c they r tryin 2 get eliminated but wont send them home; their luv/hate drama means high ratings.
I'm a woman and a huge soccer fan and seeing Hope take this abuse is sickening and frustrating. She doesn't deserve this; hell NO ONE deserves the kind of crap Maks is putting her through. Its mental, emotional and physical abuse. His disrespect is astonishing. He is constantly breaking her down every rehearsal. What if he had really hurt her, hitting her on the shoulder and tossing her around like that? Someone needs to teach Maks how to treat a woman.
Is there anybody else out there who is waiting for Hope to stand up for herself and say to Maks, "Don't you ever touch me like that again?" Hope is a beautiful, talented world class athlete; there’s no reason she should to be putting up with crap. what we saw in this video is just a manifestation of how Maks teaches his all his partners. Mel B and Brandy asked him not to push them. He swore at Brandy during the Team Apolo Training and was intimidating/very impatient towards her. In jive training when kirsty was crying she demonstrated how maks pushes her and asked 'what is that?'. maks replied 'frustration'. Some people just refuse to see Maks for what he is and rather blame his partners. His partner make excuses for him too.
ok did anyone else notice how in their solo how maks was just jerking hope around the floor? he is disrespectful to both is partners and the judges. it's appalling. has it ever occurred to maks that maybe the reason derek wins is because he respects his partners and doesn't put himself in the spotlight. hope has a lot of potential and i think that if she had a different partner this would be going a lot better for her. maks really needs to learn to be a better partner.
Pt. 2. I don't care if Maks thought his head was about to explode. He had NO RIGHT to treat Hope like crap! Ironically, Maks was usually one of my favs on DWTS. And the more I've seen of Hope, the more I like her. I think she's an awesome dancer, but they seriously need to be eliminated next week. Hope doesn't deserve to be treated this way. I'm still trying to figure out what the deal is with Maks this season. He needs to get act together before coming back again. -_-
It wasn't until season 10 that I started watching DWTS on a regular basis. In all that time, I've seen Maks get annoyd/frustrated with his partners, but NEVER have I seen him get as angry with any of his partners until now. Sure, I can understand how you might get a little frustrated while trying to teach someone something that they've never done before, but this is rediculous!

I think Maks is frustrated because he knows that this season it can be winner Derek (his the biggest rival) or Karina (his ex-girlfriend). And his best friend Tony is out and sure his brother Val. @elmagolu Good points about Ricky Martin however there were rumors floating around that Ricky was gay while he was dating all those women i haven't hear anything about Maks being gay. As for not liking Maks that your opinon i like Maks and every Pro on the show however i like Maks more as he speaks mind and when it usually in defense of his dance partner despite what you have seen in that package he always have Hope's back and will stick up for her despite her so-so dancing.
Through the first show I could feel the tension growing from Maks...he rolled his eyes at the judges then just took off after the scores. But when we saw what he did to Hope, WOW so uncalled for. He is a jerk. He is done in my book. Even the way he talked to her when he was "coaching" her and that other young dancer was uncalled for. I never write comments on YouTube but, I had to say something about this so call pro-dancer "maks" there is nothing profesional about him he is way out of line treating that poor girl Hope like that. You can tell she is trying to be strong but nobody should be treated like that. It breaks my heart to see this at 1:38 she is about to cry and then he just storms out of the room like the pathetic looser he is.
BTW The choreo, the music and the dance were great and so was Hope it was her best.

Team tango had the better song, but team Paso the better dance. I really like this Evanescence song but usually when it's used as a back drop to some sort of fight scene. For some reason the live version of this just sounded a bit lackluster.
I used to be a big fan of Maks'. He always had the "bad boy of the ballroom" reputation, but generally his remarks were sarcastic without being hurtful or demeaning. I don't know if it's a personality clash between Hope and Maks or what, but what happened here is unacceptable. What happened with Len was also stunned and appalled me.
Derek has also been another favorite of mine, but this week I gained even more respect for him with how he stepped up to help Hope.
Also, I was really ashamed with the way Maks was acting. It kills me because he used to be one of my favorite pros, until this season. He and Hope will go home soon.
I just love Derek <3 But I really want JR and Karina to win this year. I'll be happy either way. I'll bet the finals will be between Ricki & Derek and Karina & JR.
There's a reason Derek wins all the time. He's a great dancer, and he's a great teacher as well. He's the real deal and he's a class act. Maks might learn a thing or two if he wasn't so arrogant!
Maks truly was being an asshole. I can totally understand Hope's frustration with him, and I love the fact that Derek took Hope and helped her out right away when he could have focused on Ricki. And it really showed, Hope was way better in this dance, which proves that Derek truly can teach anyone, and it's his choreography and teaching skills, rather than his partners or biased judges, that won him 3 Mirrorballs.
And the dance was fantabulous! I totally love the Paso and I LOVE that song!
OMG this is so wrong I can believe my eyes It is disgusting the way Maks treats Hope he is just mean and abusive. Somebody needs to fire his ass and never be on tv ever again. Check 1:20 , 1:26 he his her shoulders hard and you can see at 1:40 she is holding her tears trying to be strong and the worse part was everybody just stood there and let it happen.

Derek is such a kind human being. He didn't have to help Hope at all, but he did it well. Though my favorites are JR and Karina, I spared a vote for Derek and Rickie this week.
I was kind of surprised that Maks pushed Hope and swung her around so much and there's really no excuse for it. Obviously he's tired of her lack of improvement and probably wishes he could go home at this point, but still, he should relax. She's not going to get any better, so he should just try to have fun now.
For all the people saying that Derek was just trying to get the attention, be logical. It's the team dance, and Derek was the only male pro left, so he was the only one who could have taught her! And the way he helped Hope, increased her confidence, and treated her respectfully definitely won me over. Also at 2:08 when Dereks eyes meet the camera, he seems embarassed that they got it on camera, and if he was doing it for attention, he would have been grateful.
Maks and hot and a very good dancer but that is in no way permission for him to be arrogant and throw his partner around. The way Derek responded to Maks leaving only convinced everyone that he is the professional, regardless of last weeks comments where he sided with the judges. And to be honest, who wouldnt side with the judges? Maks was being blatantly rude and claiming ownership of the entire show. Regardless, this paso was fantastical and gooo team paso!
I find max to be very rude, the way he hit her shoulder, how he whipped her around and than he gets frustrated and leaves. He needs to calm down sometimes.
And Ricki with a messed up rib, shes still doin her best that shows that shes got the will to go all the way. And rob Woo!! keepin up with the big guys yeah! And Derek though they say his winning streak is annoying he was a professional. To help Hope when Maks left and doin his best to work around Rickis injury that takes some patience and professional status woo!
It's kind of upsetting when people say they won't vote for Ricki because she has Derek as a pro, and his winning streak is "annoying".. Ricki has progressed as much as everyone else, we should judge how the the stars handle the routine. We already know the professionals can pull off a performance. Plus mad props to Derek for stepping in and helping Hope as soon as Maks stormed out, and Rob has improved so much.
They were absolutely awesome and there was a lot of “passion” in Team Paso Doble's dance. Loved every moment of it, especially Maks & Hope onstage in their solo part.

This dance was awesome and HOPE'S best one yet. All three did really well and I really don't care for Rob but he was great too!! Ricki was amazing as always and I'm sure she will end up winning unless J.R. gets the sympathy vote going. Go team PASO!! :)

I think Maks actually did the smart thing in stepping out before he did something detrimental to the whole team. And WTG Derek and Cheryl (fellow pros) for stepping in and helping Hope. They actually worked as a team. It reminded me of Season 9's Team Tango when Derek and Louis helped Kym work with Donny during his bout with the flu. That is teamwork in action, folks...and this was, too.

I love Maks, I really love him. But this was just too bad, Hope doesn't deserve that. I think his emotions and his frustration are just overwhelming. And he feels misunderstood. I'm really waiting for the old maks I love, and I hope he'll take a season off, and come back with a strong partner and win this thing.

As much as I love Maks, I think he just needs a break from the show. At least one season off. He's an amazing dancer, choreographer and such a cool guy but it looks like the emotions and frustration is just starting to build up. With partner like Hope (not learning very quickly, not showing that much improvment) he just gets frustrated and can't really execute himself. What he was with Mel B or Brandy was just magical but I haven't seen that Maks in a very long time and I really miss that.

It is obvious Maks is trying 2 get eliminated; I believe it is at Hope's request. She is ready 2 go home, as this is not a situation where she can shine like she does n her world of Soccer. Hope meant what she said n 1 of her backstge comments. She said she couldn't do this anymore; tired of getting the same scores (8s). So yeah, I'd say she is ready 2 go like yesterday. Only problem, judges can c they r tryin 2 get eliminated but wont send them home; their luv/hate drama means high ratings.

I'm a woman and a huge soccer fan and seeing Hope take this abuse is sickening and frustrating. She doesn't deserve this; hell NO ONE deserves the kind of crap Maks is putting her through. Its mental, emotional and physical abuse. His disrespect is astonishing. He is constantly breaking her down every rehearsal. What if he had really hurt her, hitting her on the shoulder and tossing her around like that? Someone needs to teach Maks how to treat a woman.

what we saw in this video is just a manifestation of how Maks teaches his all his partners. Mel B and Brandy asked him not to push them. He swore at Brandy during the Team Apolo Training and was intimidating/very impatient towards her. In jive training when kirsty was crying she demonstrated how maks pushes her and asked 'what is that?'. maks replied 'frustration'. Some people just refuse to see Maks for what he is and rather blame his partners. His partner make excuses for him too.

Pt. 2. I don't care if Maks thought his head was about to explode. He had NO RIGHT to treat Hope like crap! Ironically, Maks was usually one of my favs on DWTS. It wasn't until season 10 that I started watching DWTS on a regular basis. In all that time, I've seen Maks get annoyd/frustrated with his partners, but NEVER have I seen him get as angry with any of his partners until now. Sure, I can understand how you might get a little frustrated while trying to teach someone something that they've never done before, but this is rediculous!

Through the first show I could feel the tension growing from Maks...he rolled his eyes at the judges then just took off after the scores. But when we saw what he did to Hope, WOW so uncalled for. He is a jerk. He is done in my book. Even the way he talked to her when he was "coaching" her and that other young dancer was uncalled for. Love Hope, but come on people send a message to men like him....DON'T VOTE FOR MAKS!!!!!!

I never write comments on YouTube but, I had to say something about this so call pro-dancer "maks" there is nothing profesional about him he is way out of line treating that poor girl Hope like that. You can tell she is trying to be strong but nobody should be treated like that. It breaks my heart to see this at 1:38 she is about to cry and then he just storms out of the room like the pathetic looser he is.
BTW The choreo, the music and the dance were great and so was Hope it was her best.

I used to be a big fan of Maks'. He always had the "bad boy of the ballroom" reputation, but generally his remarks were sarcastic without being hurtful or demeaning. I don't know if it's a personality clash between Hope and Maks or what, but what happened here is unacceptable. What happened with Len was also stunned and appalled me.
Derek has also been another favorite of mine, but this week I gained even more respect for him with how he stepped up to help Hope.
Derek is a class act.

Maks truly was being an asshole. I can totally understand Hope's frustration with him, and I love the fact that Derek took Hope and helped her out right away when he could have focused on Ricki. And it really showed, Hope was way better in this dance, which proves that Derek truly can teach anyone, and it's his choreography and teaching skills, rather than his partners or biased judges, that won him 3 Mirrorballs.
And the dance was fantabulous! I totally love the Paso and I LOVE that song!

OMG this is so wrong I can believe my eyes It is disgusting the way Maks treats Hope he is just mean and abusive. Somebody needs to fire his ass and never be on tv ever again. Check 1:20 , 1:26 he his her shoulders hard and you can see at 1:40 she is holding her tears trying to be strong and the worse part was everybody just stood there and let it happen.

Derek is such a kind human being. He didn't have to help Hope at all, but he did it well. Though my favorites are JR and Karina, I spared a vote for Derek and Rickie this week.
I was kind of surprised that Maks pushed Hope and swung her around so much and there's really no excuse for it. Obviously he's tired of her lack of improvement and probably wishes he could go home at this point, but still, he should relax. She's not going to get any better, so he should just try to have fun now.

For all the people saying that Derek was just trying to get the attention, be logical. It's the team dance, and Derek was the only male pro left, so he was the only one who could have taught her! And the way he helped Hope, increased her confidence, and treated her respectfully definitely won me over. Also at 2:08 when Dereks eyes meet the camera, he seems embarassed that they got it on camera, and if he was doing it for attention, he would have been grateful.

The way Derek responded to Maks leaving only convinced everyone that he is the professional, regardless of last weeks comments where he sided with the judges. It's kind of upsetting when people say they won't vote for Ricki because she has Derek as a pro, and his winning streak is "annoying".. Ricki has progressed as much as everyone else, we should judge how the the stars handle the routine. We already know the professionals can pull off a performance. I'm not promoting violence - but I would have LOVED to see Hope throw him a good one! She has shoulders bigger than Maks's. She has an extremely high tolerance for pain (she hurls herself to opposite sides of the goal for a living). Probably only 10% of the clips are shown to the public, the rest are what we call EDITING..a bad guy can be seen as a good guy, and a good guy can be seen as a bad guy depending on how the clips are edited,..Its how to make the show more interesting..im sure a lot of pros have something to say against the judges, it was just unfortunate for maks that he said it on live tv, that's why everyone's making a big deal out of it..

I think Maks actually did the smart thing in stepping out before he did something detrimental to the whole team. And WTG Derek and Cheryl (fellow pros) for stepping in and helping Hope. They actually worked as a team. It reminded me of Season 9's Team Tango when Derek and Louis helped Kym work with Donny during his bout with the flu. That is teamwork in action, folks...and this was, too.

Kudos to Derek for stepping in. You could see he did the opposite of Maks and tried positive reinforcement, to which Hope responded better. Maybe Maks should watch this whole thing again and see for himself why Derek wins and he doesn't.

I feel bad for Hope. I understand Maks is trying to teach her, but that's not the right way. He just frags her around the room like a rag doll. Also he's been totally disrespectful to the judges. I understand being angry, but not being rude like that. Also if you notice he just kinda walks off after they get there scores instead of being happy and congratulating. He seems pretty distracted... hmm.

MAK needs to be replaced! I have not liked his bullying all season and this dance just goes to show that Hope could have been as good a dance partner as Riki if she had a good partner. You have just killed yourself professionally MAK.

I was kind of tired of Derek winning all the time, and this season i didn't want him to win, but after seeing what a kind and amazing person he was to Hope, I voted for him because he is the most talented and humble pro, and his partnership with Ricky is amazing!

Very mean of Maks @ 1:22. Poor Hope and everyone is looking at them. How embrassing for her. At 1:26 Maks hits her hard in the shoulder, that's on call for. He is going way out of line here. You can tell that Rob feels bad for her @ 1:31. Maks was my favorite professional male dancer. But after watching this video I am truly upset by his behavior. Maybe he should take a vacation.
