There are a few things wrong with your assessment. Firstly, the polls show that you are wrong, and that there are many people in favor of the public option. Even the polls that swing against the public option show that half the people want it. Other polls show the vast majority of people want it. The other thing wrong with your assessment is that a government takeover is in no way what is being proposed. What is being proposed is another option, along with private healthcare.
1. Only 42% favor REFORM itself according to Ras/Gallup. If your usage of the word many entails a minority then you'd be correct in using that expression.
2. Like I said the "public option" is just the first step for Canadian style single payer, the Dems have said it themselves, go read the quotes there's no hiding it.
Your Washington Post poll doesn't use the term "public option" in those results, and in the same poll the majority OPPOSE the plans being set by congress.

CEO's make so much money because they rob the resources of other countries (people or materials). Secondly, they convince the American middle class that their status is insufficient (through media, etc). The fact is, we live in an unsustainable consumer culture and the American middle class is just fine, if they would stop getting into debt.

then good, because certain institutions, such as hospitals, shouldn't be privatized. look at Canada... hell of a lot better than US as far as health care. other institutions work better when privatized because drive to earn money increases product quality, but as far as insurance is concerned it works the other way. also, as a democratic government, they don't have the resources or incentive to take over all donut shops. then the debt would be BIGGER than the 10 bil. that it is now.

There are a few things wrong with your assessment. Firstly, the polls show that you are wrong, and that there are many people in favor of the public option. Even the polls that swing against the public option show that half the people want it. Other polls show the vast majority of people want it. The other thing wrong with your assessment is that a government takeover is in no way what is being proposed. What is being proposed is another option, along with private healthcare.

The problem is we can't afford be moral as a nation because the majority of our tax dollars are waisted! We can't keep borrowing from ourselves to pay future debt! Well its not that simple. What if your job doesn't cover you and you're choosing between a family plan and your mortgage, and sending your kids to college? What if you get denied because of a pre-existing condition?

You're right. Its not simple. I am a libertarian but I am torn from my roots regarding healthcare because of my morals. It just seems to me that if we shifted funding from ridiculous wastes of money such as, the war on drugs (costs us $500 a second), education (should be privatized), IRS (fair tax), NEA, etc. we could afford to take care of our citizens! our elderly, our kin that can not help their medical condition.

All left-wing media, most likely all left-wing participants in the polls. I will predict today that the left-wing tea party in front of the Clinton News Network cameras will be a bust. People want healthcare reform, not a public option. People want a bipartisan bill, not one written in Pelosi's office in the dead of night.

CA-10: Democrat John Garamendi defeated Republican David Harmer
So if yesterday was a hint of anything, it's that Democrats will continue to have control over Congress.
However, yesterday was mostly local elections, and not about national issues.

Just because people want a public option doesn't mean they want the democrats public. What it is time for is a bi-partisan bill.
I want a public option as do many republican but, not the 1990 page pile of bureaucratic garbage the liberal are trying to force on the people.
The major issue is this is not the job of the federal government. Something most people don't understand because the are clueless. A government that can give you everything can take it all away. Learn your history.
