Thanks so much, Alicia! I'm hoping to re-make this one in HD some time soon. As I listen to it now, the default playback isn't even in stereo... yuck! I guess you have to use the &fmt=18 URL modifier or the HQ button to get the better (stereo) version.

hey, another awesome vid! I do remember once we flew in a very small plane and took off flying above those clouds at sunset. We were mesmerized by the incredible colors and shapes of the clouds. It was sublime but the winds got too strong and we had to come down. This sky just looks like this one. Do you still fly?

Unfortunately, I have been able to fly much myself, beyond a few soaring lessons and some flight time in small aircraft, and never got my pilot's license. :-( However, I've designed, built and logged TONS of hours on Radio-Controlled aircraft, mostly sailplanes. I guess that goes along with my fascination with the sky, flight, and atmospheric science... Seems I'm always looking up! Thanks for watching my stuff :-)

After the images are collected, each still frame is digitally processed to bring out the color, contrast and definition. It takes a lot of time and effort, but the resulting video is far more spectacular in the end. Thanks for watching! :-)

Hot dog, that stereo really did make a difference! This must have been such a satisfying project for you because I feel a release at each new frame. How magnificent the cloud formations as they playfully erupt and glide. Simple pleasures are the most fulfilling. You capture so many moments with your keen eye and love for the majesty of the sky down to the smallest wriggling creature.

I know what you mean - on almost every one of those big fluffy white cumulus sequences, an aircraft of some sort flew through the scene. The original full-res frames show it much better than the lower res YT version. Not as much fun as UFOs, but was pretty cool anyway. Thanks for watching! :D

I really love your time-lapse work. I can't imagine any better integration with more perfect music either. My favorite shots were the full moon rise fading into the clouds and the contrails that shapeshifted into a dove... Keep up the great work!

Oh yes - all my videos are 100% my own work, from the original time lapse photography still frames to the original music composition and performance. Putting the video together from there is the easy part! :D

Are those planes in the night sky? They seem so low. This video captured something very special. We see the sky every day but who really studies it like you do. Seeing this video makes me realize how much beauty I take for granted. Anyone can see that you love what you do.

I definitely enjoy being creative, and making videos really lets me satisfy that need! All of the streaks of light in the sky are low (more-or-less) flying aircraft. The faster, lighter ones are commercial jets, in the air traffic pattern for Burbank Airport. Santa Clarita sits right in the normal flight path. The brighter, slower ones are helicopters and light planes. The skies get pretty busy here at times!
