I never dare to reach for the moon I never tought I'd know heaven so soon I couldn't hope to say how I feel The joy in my heart no words can reveal Now just a memory the tears that I cried Now just a memory the sighs that I sighed Dreams that I cherished all have come true All my tomorrows I give to you Life's summer leaves may turn into gold The love that we share will never grow old Here in your arms no words far away Here in your arms forever I'll stay
Deares Nana I enjoyed very much your heart throbing song over and over. Thanks a for your efforts to sing a such a lovely song. Hat off to the composer too.
I just heard the song now for the first time, its the first time I love a song from the first time I listen to it, this song is amazing, thanks for sharing!
I have just returned from a Vietnam holiday only 2 days ago. In Hue I heard this song having dinner and couldn't get it from my head. I also had never heard it before. I could only pick out the words "over and over" and so just did a search on youtube and on my last try found it. A hauntingly beautiful song.
I heard this song for the first time, last June, 2009, in Vietnam and it immediately captured my heart. From then on, I have kept singing this and others who heard this are also captivated. Very beautiful song. From Alice Marie Agosto Philippines.
In 1980 I heard this song for the first time when my brother Bhaskar brought the cassette from Iran. i fell in love with the song. After a gap of 29 years i am hearing the song again that too sitting in my daughter's house in Minneapolis(U.S.A).When i put the song on my laptop my daughter who was 8 years when she heard the song in 1980 immediately started humming along with the song that is being played on the laptop.Wow that is NANA THE UNFORGETTABLE
bonmoitinh it is from an album of 'Nana Mouskouri's called Over and Over. Great Album great songs. Should be available if not on that album on any other compilation album. Regards, NART65
Does anyone know who wrote this song? It has a very "European" melody, but I can't quite figure out which country, specifically, it's from. While it certainly could be from Greece, there's a sort of Russian feel to it as well. A very "addictive" song - one of the best NM ever recorded. Thanks for posting it.
Forget the video it's the song that makes it all work!

Alice,
Did you hear it in Vietnamese or English?
HappyPlanets 2 years ago
Hello Happy,
I first heard the English version. When I learned the song, our Vietnames friends sung it in Vietnamese with "Tumbalatumbalatumbalalai..."
Are you familiar with Vietnamese songs? I love the Vietnamese music.

I heard Vietnamese version a while back but did not pay attention to it, will check it out among my Viet friends and let you know....

This is the same melody as the famous Jewish folk song "Tumbalalaika"
mosha1989 3 years ago 3
Thank you Mosha for the information. In Vietnam, they sang the refrain "Tumbalatumbalatumbalalai". It must be "Tumbalalaika . . "
