  • This is so awesome... Is the other singer Mahesh Kale?

  • Lovely Upload, Thank you very much!!!

  • No idea who is accompanying him but seems quite out of sync!

  • enjoyed this medley of raagas , although i don't have any knowledge of classical music . thank you very much .

  • Splendid, splendid, splendid - love Pandiji's soft, silky, soothing singing...

  • Thanks for uploading this treasure. In your transliteration, the final line is "हर हर प्रिया दास गावे |". I am wondering if it should be "खरहरप्रिया दास गावे |". The reason is that there is a raga by the name खरहरप्रिया in both Hindustani and Carnatic traditions.

  • @itsvivekhere This ragamala was composed by Bholanath Bhatt, guru of Ramashreya Jha "Ramrang." Priya Das was Bholanath's nom de plume. - Rajan P. Parrikar

  • @voiceofgoa: Thank you very much for this upload Rajan. I fell in love with 'Hindol' when I first heard this in 1978 or so. I have a recording of this raagmala from Bombay Doordarshan from around that time. The 15-20 minute program had this raagmala and an additional 'Bageshri' piece both superb.

  • @SJisBack Panditji's family was traditionally attached to the Mangeshi Shrine of Lord Shiva in Goa. His father, Balawantrao aka Bikambhat, was a nephew and a disciple of Master Deenanath Mangeshkar, and the temple priest and a Kirtankar.

  • @SJisBack Offcourse i inspired by panditji from my childhood, he learnd music from Azamat hussain khan(Agra ghrana), gulubhai jasdanwala(jaipur gharana),sharatchandra Arolkar(gwl gharana) and at last jagnnath bua purohit, Basically he belongs to Agra gharana, his speciality to perform rear raag and some thing new in each programme, i attend his last programme in 92 Tansen Samaroh in my home Gwl, after that he was on bed, at last in 98 he was past away.i recoerd that programme including Raagmala

  • @pareshshirdhonkar I have heard Pandit Jitendra Abhisheki was related to Mangeshkar family. Is there in truth to that?

  • @SJisBack @SJisBack Pandit Jitendra Abhisheki and Lata, Asha, Usha, Meena, Hridaynath Mangeshkar have one Grand-Father - Ganeshbhat Nawathe. Master Deenanath Mangeshkar and Pt. Abhisheki's father were half-brothers.

  • Pandit Jitendra Abhisheki performed it in Sawai Gandharv Pune, Vocal support by Shounak Abhisheki, Hement Pendse and Shekhar Kumbhoskar. At the start a clip from all his student - Raja Kale, Hement Pendse,Shounak, Ajit Kadkade, Devki Pandit, Asha Khadilkar in Nakshtranche dene. This is one of his best composition.Great.
