@beckham7england4ever It's the SVD sniper rifle. You can get actually very close. The path that leads to it is next to the warehouse entrance in the river (the very small path). Just in a storage place with a couple guards

@beckham7england4ever The only problem is that if you do that, the area in where you would fight him has the Ocelot Unit, and they have snipers. So yeah I highly dont suggest it but whatever

@SynchroWind LOL don't worry! I won't finish the game like this, I saved after I killed 'The Pain' so when I reach 'The End' in the forest I will kill him by saving the game and using the date trick so he dies by himself :p it's really difficult to defeat him!

@beckham7england4ever Actually just recently Ive beaten The End the 1st time and held him up many times. It wasn't too bad except his shots are very accurate. After holding him up you get to shoot him 3 times and then he runs away, really fast. Which was annoying but at least i got the mosin nagant :P

@Clavsicus They all actually carry a microbomb thats why he exploded. Also if you dont kill him now and fight him in the forest if u save there, exit and set ur ps2 clock one week later there will be a cutscene where snake finds the End dead of old age and thinks that he disappointed him cuz he wanted to face him in battle. It was pretty fun. Kojima knows how to make his games enjoyable.

@Georgio1215 yeah i got that cutscene when he died of old age, in my first playthrough... I didnt have the game at teh time, my friend did, but I was the one who played it, she prefered to watch me play while she enjoys the storylines... I saved the game on that battle and about 2 weeks later when i came back to her hosue... i loaded and saw it... i was like "Bitch who told you u could play in my saved game!!!??" xD

@flakelorenz02 At the end of the mangroves, there's a spot where you can turn left into a little docking area (instead of just heading straight through to the cut scene). Inside the hut there you'll find the SVD. There'll be guards, of course, but they're easy enough to dispatch.

The easiest way to kill the end with no damage is by saving the game directly after the cutscene when you meet him, then turn the game off and either wait a week or change the internal clock a week, this way you won't was stamina, ammo, or any other equipment, but I prefer to fight him, it's really fun...I love sniping

Konami are doing metal gear solid peace walker for psp first, thats coming out next year, but their also doing mgs rising, which has been labled as "lightning fast action" in the trailer, and features the badass ninja raiden from mgs 4, though why kojima is doing an action game in the metal gear franchise is beyond me, cause metal gear is best known for sneaking gameplay, though kojima did also do ZOE 2, wich is an awesome action game, but i guess well see....

Yeh but its best to wait, if u sneak up behind him without letting him know and hold him up with the m19 Handgun.. he will say "I dont Think so" twice then he will give you the Moss Camo then if you lie down in a certain spot look at your Camo index it will say 100% then Stamina kill him after the cutscene go to the left you see a box and then u get the Mosin N (Traq Sniper)
