one thing that always got me about this scene is how the fence was incredibly rude to Henry and Otis , wound up getting slaughtered for his mouth and yet Henry and Otis were never rude towards him.

@lecheromuerto My guess was always that he owned and ran the business but didn't bother to hire someone els to act as sales workers like he evidently should have, .. . or perhaps nobody els wanted to work for him for apparent reasons so he was compleld to fill the role himself? In any case, the guy had serious iratability and anger control issues, .. as did Henry ( though he took his to a further level ) .

I remember showing this film to a friend back in the day. He thought the way the fence said "You want a Goldstar?" was the funniest thing ever. It became an inside joke; out of nowhere he would say that line at the most inopportune moments.
