  • I'm reading a good 'anarchical' book right now titled: The End Of All Evil. Very nice. Keep up the good work.

  • [Contd] Want 2 send a REAL message of dissatisfaction w/ #gov? Do NOT voluntarily associate w/ enforcers - same w/ all other "public servants" but enforcers 1st & foremost. No sales, no service, no camaraderie, NO VOLUNTARY ANYTHING! Make government enforcement an unpopular job & there will be far fewer enforcers. With far less enforcement capability, government is greatly reduced in the harm it can do.... until finally it withers away from being ignored. Social Preferencing - more online

  • Laws are WORDS! #Gov enforcers make the threats of & use physical force. While Larken has said many correct things, he has NOT stated this MOST important fact about government. Politicians - legislators, executives & even judges - issue the words but do NOT themselves do the enforcing. And without large numbers of enforcers, all those laws/regulations/edicts/mandates/directives/rulings/etc remain just sounds & scribbles. [Contd]

  • @KittyAntonikWakfer It's tough to say everything about everything in every YouTube video I make. In "The Most Dangerous Superstition," I devote a good chunk of the book to the study of the mentality and actions of the enforcers of "authority," because yes, that's a huge part of the equation (and yes, I do think ostracizing the politicians' mercenaries is good).

  • Larken, You are so far ahead of the curve, you make Alex Jones look like a modern day Republican. Bravo!

  • Most politicians aren't even involved in politics because they genuinely want to improve their country's stance in the world, or improve the lives of their nation's citizenry and up their standard of living. They want to become politicians for fame, influence and money. This applies to especially to those clowns and Jew-puppets running for president with the absolutely glaring exception of Ron Paul.

  • @ThisMachineKillsReds How do you know I don't know about it? It's interesting how you want others to "wake up". Reread your previous comments and you'll realize the character you are.

  • @ThisMachineKillsReds It's demagoguery and foul language like that that completely discredit you. Instead of debating civilly and providing examples, you name call like a child. But what else would I expect from someone with your name who says they believe in freedom and people like Mises, who believed in peace by the way. If you want to be taken seriously, then act and debate seriously.

  • We should all work towards a more voluntary and peaceful society that doesn't want or need government. However, humans are imperfect. There are people and companies that have dumped their garbage/chemicals in ponds and I like having a public forum/legal system that fines and charges those groups with poisoning my community's water supply. To buy into absolutes and say that all government and laws are bad is a poor analysis of reality.

  • @LiveFreeorDieGuy Humans aren't perfect. So let's give some of them societal permission to forcibly extort and control the rest of us. Great. Brilliant. And it's worked so well in the past, too. (Yes, that was sarcasm.) The idea that ADDING more immoral violence into society--which is all the state ever does, and all it can do--is going to help things, is looney. Absolutely looney, for those of us who believe in absolutes.

  • @LarkenRose Last time I checked many public water systems were user fee based at least where I am from. If I don't pay then I don't get filtered water. I don't have to pay but if I didn't then I would be stealing from others in the community since the water belongs to everyone equally. I can elect others to oversee the cost since I can't do everything (division of labor) and if they don't provide good service at a reasonable cost then I can oust them. This does happen w/o violence!

  • @LiveFreeorDieGuy

where I live you pay a water bill even if you don't use any water and if you don't

pay they take your home from you. $37 per month up to 1000 gallons then $7 per cubic ft. I am talking about a well I own that has a meter on it that they put on it last summer. They say we voted for it but we got 52% of the people to sign a petition against it before the vote then they claimed it passed with a 78% nobody believes it until it happens to them then it's to late.

  • @LiveFreeorDieGuy A self-ordering systm 4 social order is possbl, just as any othr natural systm, can B naturally self-regulating by means of interactions Btween its membrs. Recommend: "Social Meta-Needs: A New Basis for Optimal Interaction" (online). Not a breezy read; warning 4 thoz looking 4 & usd 2 soundbites on which 2 walk away. Twin-framework implementations of SMN theory - The Natural Social Contract & Social Preferencing - R envisioned as replacements 4 existing govts

  • My problem with the general discussion here, in Larken's Dangerous Myth Book, and in the videos is that there is a failure to discuss relevant examples in history at multiple levels of government (ie. international, national, state, local). In this video, Larken lumps all public servants into one category and just says it's absurd and crazy without giving specific examples. The corrupt Congressmen who warmongers is not the same as the public water manager for a town.

  • @LiveFreeorDieGuy Any time you FORCE me to pay for YOUR "solution" to something, you're being an immoral control freak. Yes, the "public water manager," even if he doesn't have the ability to cause mass murder, is still a parasite and thug. Others are FORCED to pay him, and FORCED to go along with his plan. That is all that "government" and "law" ever is: threats of violence. Even when force is justified (i.e., to defend against aggression), the state is always a VIOLATOR more than a protector.

  • Poly means many and tics are parasites, politics = many parasites.

  • Hey Larken, in general I agree with a lot of your points about laws and the use of force but I think you are forgetting that some public servants and organizations run on user fee taxes which are not forcibly taken from you. Many state DOTs operate and run by toll roads and gas taxes so if you don't drive, you don't pay a tax. The federal income tax is a sham along with most other taxes but I wouldn't demonize every public servant with understanding how the funds are procured.

  • @LiveFreeorDieGuy That's still theft and violent aggression. To say you have to give me $1 for every mile you drive, and say that doesn't count as extortion because you could choose not to drive, is logically bogus. A toll road, or a fee for service they provide (not something they require, and then force you to pay for) can be legitimate, but very little of "government" revenues come from such things.

  • @LarkenRose Just because you say something is theft and violent doesn't reflect reality. The reality is that if you are going to use someone else's stuff, like a road, you have to pay to use it. Not doing so is theft and you would be the thief. You could argue that roads should be privatized but the majority are publicly owned. Taxing gas mileage is much more accurate because it accounts for how much you use the road whereas tolls are inefficient and can't be placed everywhere.

  • @LiveFreeorDieGuy The government has no property rights, and thus no right to charge or bar people access. A private company can charge a million dollars a mile, but the everything the government has is STOLEN.

  • @ThisMachineKillsReds Who do you think enforces property rights? If Larken can say that the Constitution is just a piece of paper which states that the government gives itself the right to rob you, then why would a piece of paper justify that you are the owner of any land? Who gave you the moral right to own that 4 acre land, and the pond and water next to it? The earth's resources, land, water, etc belong to everyone equally.

  • @LiveFreeorDieGuy You're a fucking tool. Morality is a shell-game with no ball.

You should learn about something real, like customary law, instead of stroking your cock to imaginary entities like 'teh government' and 'moral rights'.

  • @ThisMachineKillsReds Now that doesn't mean that land should not be privatized. If Nestle wants to bottle water and own the lake from which it draws, then they can petition the public to have that right because they could possibly do a better job than the public in delivering that service. However, the public has the right to charge a rent or usage fee (aka land tax). Is it a perfect system? No. But I don't want private tyrannies anymore than public tyrannies. There has to be a balance.

  • @LiveFreeorDieGuy 'The Public' is a bunch of imaginary bullshit, and I basically don't give a shit what you have to say if you're using mythological characters.

You obviously don't understand government or economics, either, so you should try reading Mises before making yourself seem mentally handicapped again.

  • So I take it by this and all the other videos that you have out that your bent out of shape by the fact that your house is being foreclosed on. Most of the laws don't address force. You do something wrong....you get fined or jail. No force there.

  • Well, you actually said something that I half-agree with. Politicians are not working for us. They are working for themselves. How very true. However, I will say that this is not how it was meant to be. The founding fathers were true statesmen, dedicated to freedom and building a government that gave ultimate power to the people. Politician s were never meant to stay in office for 20 or 30 years. They were meant to get in and get out. What we are seeing now is a bastardization of their vision.

  • Right on! For those of you who get your information from television, you may consider yourself functionally mis-informed. There is nothing real on television.

  • I agree with the majority of what is in your videos, I'm glad there are people like you that aren't afraid to stand up against what is clearly unjust.

  • Hmmm it really does take an arrow (like this video) to shoot through the misconceptions of our society. Makes you realise how our 'servants' have managed to present themselves in order to keep power. What an illuminating video, I look forward to watching many more...

  • Okay so No more government no more rules here is the belief i have for america, it would parish, self implode because lets face it just like the politicians the rich don't care they would rather not pay anyone anything, and hey there is no rule stopping them from not paying people anything either. so what you would have is rather than someone stealing money they would steal hard work without paying for it. they would live for free while making millions on the backs of others. enjoy that...

  • You are very good with your words but all i hear is you Cutting down and even whining but nothing to replace or fix the problem. It insults your intelligence to continue to complain but not offer a better option. You cannot simply say the government is wrong so we should just not go with it. that in itself would also send people into rioting and as YOU should already know people need direction. this is a result of the society we live in. if you wish to be heard you cant just rant.

  • Okay Larken, There is Truth in your words yes i will agree. But what kind of world is a world without Rules and/or guidelines. Look at what happens every single time someone "convinces" the majority of the population that the world is ending. Riots pillaging and even MURDER happens. Having a view of government this way i ask you what is your method, rather than just cutting down and being unproductive and actually doing exactly what the government is doing. What is your Idea to be governed?

  • Larken, this is beautiful my friend in peace.

  • Good video. So true. Whatever small "powers" that were originally granted to the Federal government have since been completely ignored, or perverted into other activities, and the creature is now consuming its own citizens.

  • It's amusing that you mention "raising taxes" when bush era tax cuts were just renewed in December. (which lowered taxes, and kept the law that lowered taxes in effect). You may want to lookup tax rates and brackets for the last 20 years before you just go breathing hot air about something you know nothing about.

  • @bohicadeus - "Bush era tax cuts". LMAO!

No, what's amusing is that you are the perfect slave; gratefully licking the feet of your new master, because it seems that maybe he whips you a tiny bit less than the last one did.

  • @bohicadeus You mean people with guns won't attack you if you don't pay protection money to the government? Phew. I thought there was a really messed up situation going on for a minute there.

  • If you have so much beef with democracy, why in the world do you live in the US? I can set you up with a tribe in another country. They drink dirty water and build their houses out of mud, but at least they don't pay taxes! lol. Dumbass.

  • @bohicadeus Name one of these countries.

  • Government is simply a new version of religion. It has its rituals, its high priests and its temples. They believe that their magical rituals can somehow bestow "authority" on another human completely equal to you.

Most people who believe in "god" actually believe in Government as superior to their God. They won't follow all those rules, and ask for forgiveness, but decry anyone who defies Government as "breaking the law". Government is worshiped and obeyed far beyond their other "God".

  • "The beginning of wisdom is to call things by their correct name." - Ancient proverb usually credited as Chinese

  • some excellent commentary and analysis, i share your views in large part and agree wholly with the sentiment and yet find myself in a position where I must defend the archaic institution of the nation state due to a common, much more powerful enemy.

what is key here is the notion of any private group like government, to create unnecessary jobs and to seize, through the apparatus of government, control over civilization itself.

make mine individual sovereignty and a constitutional republic

  • @diogeneslaertius666 What enemy are you talking about?

  • @PluralOfEverything loosely defined: The New World Order system

  • 100%

  • Good video LR. There are NO public servants....and I bet they invented the term too. They are simply Terrorists who try to rule over us...but their day is coming. What goes around, comes around.

    Stay Safe and Be Well.

  • The government is nothing more than a mafia family that has beaten the other mafia families as top boss.

  • So, okay what's your answer to the problem?

  • @beckweth : The answer is to be intelligent and be human. To think for yourself, not doing things people tell you to, if they don't pass the test of your own conscience. To do things that are good, based on your own conscience.

People in government tell you to do and not do things based simply on their own whims, and their wishes cannot override morality.

Keep studying, learning and reading about freedom, beckwith. Good question, and YOU have the answer.

  • Stellar video Larken. So true that a government that has the power to prohibit people from ingesting certain substances (such as you're prohibited from ingesting certain drugs) also has the power to force you to ingest certain substances (such as you must take this vaccine and your child must take this ADD drug (Ritalin) or s/he won't be allowed into the classroom)..

Frankly, I think a child not being allowed into their indoctrination camp, err school, is a good thing.

  • Love your approach Mr. Rose. I'd love to see more.Thank you.

  • I applaud what you are doing Larken. And I very much appreciate the fact that you have choosen to shine the light on this particular group of puzzle pieces. You are an ice breaker and you have embarked to break up some very, very thick ice. Ice thickened by deeply instilling training patterns across a broad span of generations. In myriad ways and via myriad channels, the stories have been told and retold again and again. The training patterns have evolved into formidable, ridgid belief systems.

  • excellent video Larken! i hope to see more. you communicate your points very good and its nice to hear real talk.

  • PhUTube4Evah seems to be an idiot

  • Great video!

Has Marc Stevens invented a cloning machine?

  • Awesome! Keep these videos coming Larken.

  • @evryonesacritic cool to see your support!

  • @PhUTube4Evah These days, I can't tell always tell the difference between sane people being sarcastic and statists being psychotic. If you really are a devout member of the cult of "government" (and not just being flippant), at least I find your honesty refreshing. Most state-worshipers don't like to bluntly express the fascism they advocate. Have a happy goose-stepping day. (For those who don't know, yes, I was caged for a year for not pretending I owed the "public servants" lots of money.)

  • @LarkenRose Come on, you are obviously a dangerous criminal element and deserve what you got, and further more by your repeated repudiation of the system, deserved far worse. Why can't you just be a good person like the vast majority of your brethren?

  • @PhUTube4Evah What is so dangerous about him? What crime did he commit? What do you consider a "good person" to be?

  • @LarkenRose god your a fucktard

  • @LarkenRose You try to keep your own money, somebody kidnaps you, and you're the one who's called a 'criminal'. I can't imagine how people can say 'justice system' with a straight face.

  • The part about "taking from me, and giving my money to the poor"... You missed the all-important bit about how they skim their share off the top BEFORE they pass it along - i.e. there is profit to be had or they wouldn't be doing it...

"It is impossible to introduce into society a greater change and a greater evil than this: the conversion of the law into an instrument of plunder. " -- Bastiat

  • @tenbarrels6 Quite true. In fact, I don't think "skim" is the right word; more like "gouge," because they steal MOST of it for themselves and their bureaucratic drones. "Government" "welfare" is the most inefficient "charity" there is--aside from the fact that it's coercive (which means it's not charity) and hugely corrupt.

  • @tenbarrels6 I think the quote you used is from "The Law"? Bastiat was brilliant. Nice to see his quotes sometimes. - Cheers

  • @zalida100 Yes, It's "The Law" by Bastiat. I'm reading it right now, but can't get thru more than a couple pages without going into a rage at how utterly stupid people are today. The prevalent "statist" mentality in America is beyond comprehension. Everyone should read "The Law" a couple times per year. It's available free online - google it. Where have all the Thinkers gone? Oh, wait. Larken is one of them. Keep it up Larken! Clear Thought is contagious.

  • @tenbarrels6 Yes - reading it a couple of times a year would do no harm. Good idea. - Ta for reply.

  • @SiNaoia 1) Obama didn't "ask" anyone to do anything. He intends to use the threat of violence to steal more from them. 2) Whether they spend money or save it, millionaires (if they got there via voluntary exchange) do far more for "America's success" than you or I do. 3) If you actually believe that "America's success" is served by the power-happy, control-freak, war-mongering megalomaniacal parasite class stealing more money, then I doubt I can make a dent in your delusion.

  • @SiNaoia that would be great if they actually cared about americas success but they dont ;NAFTA and billions of dollars going over seas while kids in cant go to school with out fear of violence

  • Public servants, pubic serpents. What's the difference?

  • I always disagree with you with your initial arguements until I try to logically attack your thinking. So far, I have ended up having to reluctantly agree with you. Question... would it be possible for someone to be a TRUE Public Servant by running on a platform of simply undoing laws that have already been made? Couldn't you, for instance, enter the political areana as a true Public Servant by going to Washington for the purpose of throwing a big wrench into the works?

  • @ceosparky Have you been reading "The Iron Web"? While it would be fun to watch someone mangle the control freak cult from the inside, there is a down side: Trying to "legally" achieve freedom is ultimately impossible, because even the effort implies that the parasitic system of aggression is legitimate. Trying to change "the law" implies that "the law" (politician commands) is actually valid, and that we need the permission of the parasites in order to be free.

  • Public Servant is a democracy/collectivist term. Show me where in the constitution it states anything about a public servant. The UNITED STATES IS A CORPORATION. I got Videos explaining all about it.

  • Another great video Larken.

    Thank you!

  • Right on Larken. Keep up the good work.

  • great video

  • 0:00 - 0:05 CHEESY 80'S MUSIC FTW

  • "public servant" another term with a hidden meaning - in legalese i mean. like so many other terms they use to misdirect us, in legalese these terms have very different definitions. they are servants chosen from the public to serve the elite in carrying out their agendas. so the term public servant is correct just not the same meaning as you and i would use it for.

  • Larken Rose, you're my hero.

  • simply brilliant !

  • Just the same in England why dose your president go to Rome and kiss his ring

our PM and Queen dose it as well strange old world

  • slightly off topic. But if I showed you a cure for cancer what would happen to all the people making money from the charities the board members some charities make A lot of money and go to nice Garden parties at Buckingham palace ride around is nice

big cars and Earn lots of money looking for cures I think they would kill any one who found a cure for Cancer

  • well i have a question. what about those other professionals who like to think of themselves as servants? i've had dentists drill holes in good teeth to get some money out of me. not a new dentist either, just trying to pay for his equipment. vets who are trying to get rich off of you, pulling a cat's tooth, charging $700 and more. the list goes on and on. there are no servants, just ruling class.

  • @medini2 Anyone of any profession can be a crook. At least it's possible for a dentist to serve you, if he's not a crook. A politician CAN'T serve you, because he's a professional crook. Furthermore, you have a choice whether to pay for other people's services. The dentist doesn't threaten to cage you if you don't go to him for dental work.

  • @LarkenRose I've been a sucker & there are millions and millions of other suckers out there just like me, who get taken to the cleaners more often than not. we just trust them & hand them "their" money.

there is no recourse after you've paid that will not cost you a chunk of your life in grief.

But, you have taught me something. Don't pay em. Don't ever pay until you KNOW they did the work they were supposed to. Good effing advice.

  • @medini2 your vid was great; watched stefbot's on the same topic, but, yours really hit home w/ how they have to be crooks. so, what kind of government are we supposed to have?

we had to have a representative government because a democracy would have been a bit too harsh. people might still be tar & feathering you for having a different view from them.

So what is the recourse? I think the politicians need to be paid much less & do away w/ the body guards.

  • @medini2 As it happens, the next video is about why "representative government" is also an oxymoron. There's no such thing, and can be no such thing. What kind of parasitic, coercive ruling class should we have? None.

  • @LarkenRose, @medini2 "What kind of parasitic, coercive ruling class should we have? None." this is the response i get most also Larken?? People just want a more preferable 2.0 tyranny than the current version. i like your videos and hope to see more!

  • @medini2 You need to distinguish between voluntary interaction and coercive interactions.

  • A great video AND a new book!? Woo hoo!

  • Well, I think that "the servants" should have limousines and private jets to travel around in. Why shouldn't they stay in the most expensive hotels? I read recently that one of the "servants" was given a bouquet of flowers (cost $4000).....and...why not?

If I don't like how they run things, I can always fire them...right? (My Stockholm syndrome doesn't affect how I see things).

You're right, Larken.......It is pretty embarrassing.

  • Very true. This concept is basic, but people have been so thoroughly indoctrinated that they can't see it. Kudos, Larken.

  • I love all your videos, though I am curious why I feel like it's 1985 whenever I watch them.

  • @masonkiller666 Better production value would be nice, especially for reaching a large audience, but that doesn't take away from the quality of the content.

  • @masonkiller666 It's because of the cheesy synthesized music

  • @Apptendo Hey! I'll have you know, I put in upwards of five minutes of effort on making that music ... on a Korg that I think I got in the 80's. I plead guilty to excessive cheesiness. It was slightly better than silence. I think. Possibly. Maybe. (Come to think of it, my dang camcorder might be that old, too.)

  • @masonkiller666 lol 100% agree

  • Larken, you are one of my Top 3 Most Inspiring human beings.
