Did you confirm if it's broken or not?

If connector 3 is broken, your proximity sensor and ear piece speaker won't work.

Connector 3 is delecate and has been broken before, when it was broken, during a phone call, the ear speaker wouldn't work, and if you put your hand over the top of the phone, it wouldn't black out the screen automatically.

If the above is true, the connector is broken, and you should send it in to have a new one soldered on, £39 is a small price to pay

Ok here's my problem, I took my iPhone 3GS apart like an idiot, and broke the connector 3, I'm good at soldering so I thought I'd do it myself, I unsoldered it no problem, but I cant solder the new one in, I also broke ribbon 3 (but bought a new one) and the volume ribbon in the process (would need new volume ribbon) so how much would that be?? Also is it ok sending it to you in pieces I never put it back together...

Will this fix a problem that i have:

PROBLEM: Earpiece

I cant here any think unless i put it onto Loud speaker, if i put my hand over the phone to simulate putting the phone to my ear the screen goes dark and when i take it away it comes back on. i have also tried putting the headphones in and out several times and still nothing.
