  • I'd like to have a beer with this gentlemen....oh wait, I mean soda!

  • COFFEE-SODA =D =D =D =D =D

  • He's a hero to everyone with fold childhood memories of things like Delaware Punch, and Nesbitt's Orange soda. Each sip is like a time machine. And a proprietor of things I never got to try before, like Moxie (an acquired taste, but addictive), and Bundaberg (he used to sell a mint Bundaberg - Yum!!). He looks great too, like he lost weight since I used to go to his shop 10-or so years back.

  • i was there. galco's is like finding blackbeard's largest treasure or the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. everything is amazingly good, especially the fruit sodas. and that man... this man, John Nese, is the god king of galco's.

  • this man is adorable..i just wanna squeeze his head and kiss it!

  • I don't care for soda much as it is now, but I really wanna go to this place. I mean, I've tried glass bottle Coke and that's good, so some of this stuff has to be great.

  • A giant soda shop.......... Moving to LA soon.

  • I just want to hug this man and say thanks for making me so happy and knowing that such a place exist!!!

  • I love drinking soda. Actually I quit drinking it.

Soda is bad for you but also good for you. (no it had a greater impact on being bad for you)

"Keep the fluids running through your body." which is good. Probably better for Orange juice (prevent you from getting sick? also like orgasms help too!)

Soda is loaded with sugar and blah blah blah, obvious impact on you is it makes you FATTTTTT but the bad part is the caffine. Caffine is good in a way but bad for you (hangovers).

  • I come from a faraway land you may know but have never been. I come from Trollomania.... It's a wretched place where we troll and put everything down for being a second to stupid. But this... I see... A new light. I know there are beautiful things in this world of youtube. I can't go back home. I need... no trolls near me. Thank you.... *sniff* Sodaman

  • this is brill! artisan-thinking, not blah bottom-line homogenized stuff (aka pepsi, coca-cola monopolies who are only in biz' today to protect their empire).

I love this! passion-drive-playfulness :-) What a competitive edge! But, I think this guy's in biz' because he's really into what he does as a creative entrepreneur. From customer's POV - this is what I want.

  • Freaking love this video

  • this is awesome, i fucking love soda. i wish we had something like this in Australia. go small business

  • "Big Business likes Big Government"

Uh no, Big Business likes Small Government. Small Government doesn't have the ability to regulate or, enact laws that protect the little guy.

  • @LOLitsJono No big business loves big government which is exactly true.

  • It's encouraging to see someone who loves what they do and they do what they love. Work? I hardly see any "work" in the traditional sense, I dig this video and the possible possibilities of doing something better :)

  • "Like" this comment if the Third Man Vault brought you here.

  • Energy Drinks =/= soda

You get energy drinks because you want energy not because you're thirsty (In some cases of course)

  • @langhalsen I know idiots who just drink them to drink them.

I don't see how anyone can do it.

  • @langhalsen You do realise that a cup of coffee would probably give you a lot more energy than an energy drink, don't you?

  • @oopsIdidasuper There is so many different energy drinks and coffee types that that's no valid argument. Usually people drink more of an energy drink once they do than coffee. As you said one cup of coffee, I could tell you that a monster energy drink gives you more caffeine than a large cup of coffee.

  • Wow! Ailes and boxes of high fructsoe corn syrup.....Mmmmmm!!

  • @Orbot FAIL

  • @classicdinner TRIUMPH!!!

  • @Orbot watch the video again mong

  • @Orbot Guess you didn't watch the video and see the part where he says he prefers to sell cane sugar soda?

  • @DTPrimus2112 EUREKA!! I saw that part too! ;-)

  • Fuck I wish I could go to this place T-T

  • This guy's happiness somehow makes me happy too. I don't even feel like trolling today.

  • This isn't for any thumbs up because I've seen tons of people who do this, but who could possibly dislike this? I mean it just blows my mind that someone could watch those 13 minutes of the nicest guy on Earth so passionate for what he does to serve his customers well and all of those neat sodas, and then dislike it!

  • @pat5168 Well, I doubt whoever hit dislike watched the full 13 minutes, but I'd have to agree with you. Maybe they just slipped? Heh, it's happened to me. :P

  • This guy absolutely loves what he does, with passion, that is inspiring!

  • I grew up in Highland Park by Galco's and when I went to Franklin High School down the street, Galco's was the spot for us afterschool. Aside from the delicious sandwiches in the deli, the fantastic sodas and delicious candies sell the place. John Nese is incredibly nice too and I'll never forget when he recommended us rose water soda six years ago. I also see him occasionally at Penny's Burgers down the street. Yesterday was their soda tasting and I saw a line going around the block too!

  • I love seeing people happy about what they've done with their life :)

  • I have to say, this guy is awesome. But that comment he made, "Big business loves big government," is totally wrong. Big business = capitalism. Big government = socialism. That's in direct conflict.

  • @trivium666fan

You have to understand he isn't running a big business, this is a small business, which gets crushed by big business at an increasing rate because they are in bed with big government, that's how monopolies get created and ruin the free market. Big business does love big government, its small businesses that don't.

  • @trivium666fan nope. google "crony capitalism". Big business uses big government to gain a competitive advantage. When government is small and exercises less influence over the marketplace, then big business has no reason to use it.

  • @trivium666fan All businesses LOVES regulations that provide barriers to anyone else trying to enter the market. Not just giant corporations either. The funeral home business is a great example. Also, that's not what socialism means at all.

  • @tripperday

I understand regulations about entrance, but that's not usually what people mean by "big government" in business. Like in this video, when they talk about CRV laws, because they don't block entrance to the bottling industry, but raise the price of drinks slightly on consumers and retailers.

As for my definitions, they were simplifications to make a point across. I could've said, "Socialism is government ownership of the means of production and distribution of goods and services."

  • @trivium666fan “Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power” ~Benito Mussolini

Get your grammar, logic, and rhetoric straight Trivium. : )

  • @kungfujones1

There can be both Communist and Capitalist Fascist states. Fascism has almost nothing to do with the type of economy of a country, so long as it's a rigid singular collective identity by the people (as either Capitalist or Communist, for example). Also, that was Giovanni Gentile, not Mussolini. It was just in one of his books.

So, what was the problem with my statement?

  • @trivium666fan

You're wrong. If you need any examples, here are a few:

    General Motors

    Chrysler

    Wells Fargo

    Bank of America

There are many, many more, who went begging the government (like a crack whore to her pimp) for handouts. The market place should have and would have let them fail, but our Big Government politicians (on the right and the left) propped them up, all for various reasons, but the statement IS true, Big Business LOVES Big government

  • @11mwilkinson

Those businesses went looking for handouts when they were already failing and loans from private institutions weren't going to help them. But back when Theodore Roosevelt started regulating the economy, something no other president had done, at least to that extent, big business hated it. Rockefeller went apeshit. Big government = regulations (hence, terms like "big brother"), and big business hates regulations.

  • This is a REAL MAN. Inspirational.

  • I went there today for the first time today and he was so friendly! and all there soda is reasonably priced to! they were all priced below 2 dollars! Everyone should really go there asap

  • This guy is totally awesome! Sad, America is losing it's foundation....

  • This man is inspirational. He's a model for businessmen everywhere.
