HELP! My mother's family is from Kios (Gemlik) in the Bithynia province. After the Asia Minor Catastrophe my grandfather's family settled in Nea Kios, Greece near Nafplion, while my grandmother's family went to Thessaloniki. I don't care to get into the debate of "Macedonia" & its validity, but I'm trying to learn as much as I can about this region, its music, costumes & language. Can anyone help me with information? Anything will be appreciated! Thank you!
