@49kasey I don't know. I bought these speakers at HiFi-do, famous second-hand shop in Japan. These were named Dynaco25X in the homepage. I don't know about Dynaco speakers, especially about A25X. When you refer to audio-heritage, there are 3 types of A25, A-25mkII, A-25XS, A-25XL. all have different appearance compared to mine. Also about the relationship between Dynaco & Scandyna, I don't know well. Anyway now I sold them, only using Dynaco A-35.
I don't know why I didn't notice it before but these are a TOTALLY different speaker than the original A25. These are taller and slimmer and sound much clearer. And they probably have a different enclosure design. The old Dynacos had a unique damped slot that produced really deep bass for their size. But the focus on speakers back then was on getting the deepest bass for the buck and not on the clarity of the midrange like it is today.
YOU GOT A NICE COLLECTIO OF EQUIPMENT IM IN THE MIST OF THE SAME THING RIGHT NOW.HAVE MY EQUIPMENT IN MY STUDIO.AND THEN STARTING ON MY SECOND SYSTEM IN MY BEDROOM.LOVE TH OLD EQUIPMENT.JUST SO MUCH BETTER.
@musicman257 Thanks for your comment.Yes, I totally agree. I have fun in collecting old components. So sometimes I buy old amps I don't need now. And like you I put old gadgets in my bedroom or living room. I have now 8 sets of audio system.
@jgmacv Thank you for your comment, just now I saw one of your videos "Pioneer Stereo System" and found Dynaco speakers. You also have many vintage Pioneer amps and other speakers, maybe some models(amps & receivers) are sold in the US only, we can't get them in Japan. Nice systems and sound!
So, it was long time ago you experienced Dynaco's sound for the first time. In Japan , Dynaco has not been so famous than JBL or TANNOY, but some audiophiles love Dynaco amps and speakers, I love their designs, too. because they are so nostalgic. Off course sound is also very good!
I'd like to know more about these. Were they made in Denmark?

Grew up with a pair of A25s. Listened to them endlessly in the 70s. Thanks.

I spent a good portion of my teenage years parked in front of a pair of A25s and thought I was in heaven. Thanks for this!
