  • I saw in your info that when you uploaded this you mentioned the compression caused the quality to suffer. Just thought with higher Res there would be less compression necessary on an upload. I really dig this video either way. Great job! Thanks for sharing

  • Is it possible to upload a higher resolution copy now that you can upload for 1080p I believe? That would be sweet indeed!

  • @MrKillAllTheLawyers I don't know that 1940's camera footage would benefit much from 1080p. I could be wrong though

  • Great vintage footage. Nicely put together and very thoughtful. Was that the invention of break dance I witnessed? Not sure exactly what the animated images were from? Very cool though. This video definately enhances the quality of a song that didn't need anything. Good work my friend.

    Thank you both

  • I love watching these old clips and imagining what life was like before the world was in color. Been coming back to this video for years. Thanks for making it.

  • wow this song is so beautiful <3

  • This song is beautiful just like the others. Also the scene chosen to start the video out seemed perfect.

  • This video made me think of those old old pictures in my grandparents' photo album enriched by their comments on how they lived in the early 1900s. They also would like your work! :)

(...and at last, but not least, I LOVE this song!!)

  • God, I just keep searching on youtube for more and more songs from this guy. I can't stop. Everything else that I have to do just seems meaningless. This is what i love, this is what I search for all the time. This is music, this is perfection. I feel like a better person listening to it. It makes me cry and smile, and scream and jump, and makes me sad.. It's just... I cannot explain. I'm afraid that, as much as it sounds old and lame, there are really no words to describe this music.

  • this is exactly how I felt when I discovered Iron & Wine in September. It's so much of an emotional swing throughout his songs, not that they differentiate much but because they evoke so much passion for the listening experience..really quite a wonderful artist.

  • @katakotia , the rabbit hole only goes deeper when start to discover iron and wine lyrically

  • love it..
