    any thing else ???

  • Thank so much no more 17 hour uploads!

  • The only problem I could see with this is a decrease in quality, with me shooting in Native HDSLR format, I find the larger the file size the better the quality! However the H.264 export is a good idea as the files are still smaller than usual yet still amazing HD quality! So all in a good video!

  • Seriously, thank you for this. My final video sizes are at least 1 gb or more.

  • You are AWESOME!! I like that you found a way to compress a video, without loosing quiality... and that's like... like... like... like... PERFECT for meh! Because I do AMV, so I spended a lot of time uploading a video and just for 480 pix ¬¬ But now you solved it for me!! I LOOOOVE chu!! 8'DDD BTW happy new year!!

  • my video is 49 secs long and is 768mb

  • I have movies that are 13.4 gigs and Compressor 4 compreeses them to 100 mb

  • @carterclips2000 thats cause compressor 4 in more advanced

  • but... YOUR A GIRL

  • thanks for the help!

  • YOU SAVED MY LIFE!!!!!!

  • Thanks so much!

  • eli you are awsome

  • Your so amazing .. I spent 1 month pulling my hair out, now im bald ha ha...when to best buy, Mac store, Mac specialists and none of them could figure out why it was taking 10 hours to load my Final Cut Pro x video to youtube. You helped me so much, thank you. Happy Thanksgiving

  • @WinningProducts Wow! That's insane! Well I'm glad it could help you out :D

  • :D

  • Oh no! Your aspect ratio is all wrong and this video looks really squashed :( Nice content otherwise :)

  • Nice one Elly :) I have bought it... but haven't really used it yet!

  • Thanks so much that helped me a lot!

  • What program do you use to make your animated Intros?

  • @MacDude2020 They are usually made in After Effects... but other people make them for me and I bought some of them

  • Did you just say 69? 0:46

  • @oldVideoGamesChannel Uhh... no? lol and what would it matter?

  • @AppChat it was just a bad joke, because I have a one track mind. Which rhymes with 69 and 69 means....well...

  • @oldVideoGamesChannel Lol all good :P

  • Did you say mega mites? 2:47 :p

  • @samsimpson11 Never! lol

  • Thanks a bunch! Very helpful video :)

  • did u record your voice in final cut

  • @noscopeknife I recorded my voice with the blue snowball microphone while recording my screen with screenflow :)

  • @AppChat I need help! BIGTIME!

    I record with a t2i aka 550d

And when I export the movie file from FCPX to my desktop to watch it, it lags the shit out of it, My mac is super powerful and this shouldn't be a problem, but it seems like the vid kinda rewinds a sec or so all the time, the original audio is there but the vid freezes :'(

    Help please?

  • @IBobforpresident That's very strange. My question is when you upload it to youtube does it still lag? Try quitting final cut pro x and any other editing programs running while you watch the video and see if it still lags.

  • i luv u Elly

  • Hello Elly! Good Video. But the double encoding in H.264 is not the finest way! You recive the better result if choose "Current Settings" or one of the "ProRes" settings! This make the first file more largely but its a 'professional Master'. Then in Handbrake click "Average bitrate" and type 5000 in the box for a 720p video or 8000 for a 1080p video!

    Greatings from Switzerland!

  • @RSVid79 Thanks for the tips! I'll try it sometime :)

  • Awesome vid Elly!

I remember telling you about handbrake on Skype :) lol

    Keep up the great work!

  • @TechTechReviews Yes! Actually that handbrake knowledge is thanks to you! Probs won't do much I will put an annotation to your channel at that part just incase it helps :D

  • @AppChat Haha thanks Elly! We NEED to skype soon! :D

  • AWESOME! thanks heaps for the info... helps ouut alot!

  • You should be using Compressor which is an add on app for final cut X and part of final cut studio

  • @pkerry12 I used to always use compressor :) but I just prefer to do it this way quality seems a little better for me

  • Nice Video Elly,

I use WinFF for my videos, keep them in their native H.264 too... The videos can take quite some time to export however you just need to be patient.

Also for music ideas for your vids, have you checked out 8bc.org?

  • @scottjacko87 Indeed lol thanks..... and yes I have! Awesome website! My favourite artist I've found is "FantomenK". I used to use his music in my videos all the time! You should look him up :)

  • dang girl, you need to update to lion :)

  • @Ybtv09 @thatonegeekygirl Lol I'm too lazy to upgrade :P what's the point if everything works just fine! Also I know some of my programs are incompatible with Lion at the moment :(

  • Great video! You should do more FCP X tutorials. Cheers :)

  • You can compress the file size buy opening in quicktime and then exporting it,

  • Haven't you upgraded to Lion yet? :o

  • @AppChat Yes I know that website well :) If you look up the artist Jacko you will find some of my music there :) Don't think any of it would be suitable for your videos, but if it is feel free to use it :)

I a few friends from that website, at least we have chip music in common!

  • That intro was amazing! Maybe a brief tutorial on that?:)

  • Awesome! Thanks so much Elly, I'll definitely try this out :D

  • OH MY GOD. THAT INTRO!

    haha, did u make it?

  • very useful! thanks!

  • 4:11 lol wut?

  • Awesome video!

  • wow you have ppl from all over the world i'm from arabia.

  • nice video..I think I'd just be lazy and use the share--> youtube in FCP X i'd rather just go watch tv for a bit :)

  • Thanks for the tutorial video Elly!

  • nice new intro. Who made it?

  • thx for the tip!

  • Well done Ellie - I am interested in how you film the iPad and iPod. It is tough to get that over the shoulder shot and have it look good still. It would be nice to have a way to record the video out of an iPad like we can with ScreenFlow on the Mac.

  • @AppleStudioMan u can do that u got to jailbreak it but

  • Awesome video, thank you very much for uploading!

    Greets from Germany :P

    --Shari

  • @Macsikaner Thanks from commenting! Woo Germany is awesome! :D

  • It's videos like this that make me wish that I had a Mac.

Final Cut Pro X is a fantastic piece of software and definitely worth £200. But I'm stuck with a windows laptop with Movie Maker haha.

Great video Elly :) I will definitely be trying out HandBrake for my HD exports. Thank you very much!

  • @05faber Lol! I'm glad you could get something out of the video :D

  • @05faber
