hah man they ripped you off good, thats about the full size your musk will be and the painted will pass it up..

Also if u didnt look at the sexing thing easiest way to tell is that males will have a longer tail (used for mating) and its claws will be longer

Ya, thanks. The only reason that I wanted a smaller musk is because I wanted him and my western to be kept together and not have to worry about reintroducing them. I didn't know that musks were sexually dimorphic with their claws, I thought that was only for sliders, maps, painteds and stuff. My musk hardly has any claws left. Thats why you should buy babies, cuz turtlesale doesn't take very good care of their adults.

Wow turtlesale got you with the musk, The musk is at least 4 years old, and i saw its tail- Its Male. Baby is maybe 3-5 months of age

Yeah, on turtlesale, go to adult turtles on page 3 and the musk turtle will say "born this year". The guy I talked to said that they were only 2 inches bigger than the hatchlings. It doesn't really matter to me what size they are, I just wish they could stop focusing on the money and actually tell the truth sometime.

Btw, how do you sex them? I've heard things about the concave plasteron, head size, actual size, and tail size before.

i cant 4 say the exact age but i could say the 1 turt is most likey an adult or sub adult and the other is mabey a 7 months.

hey have you seen my musk he is 3 years old and 2 inches but he is a male but yours have to be more than 1 year more like 4 years if a male and 3 years if female check my vid with the pics comparing him to a quarter.

Thanks dude. Turtlesale lied big time. They said that they were born this year and that they were only 2 inches bigger than hatchlings. It doesn't matter but I would just like to be able to know that they are not lying.

yea.. but why would they lie did you select baby or juvinile. as it is illegal to sell under 4 inches there is an exception and that is you can buy them for educational purposes too. thats how i get mines but they dont ask.we'll there still awsome turtles you might be able to breed them and get smaller one.

but the main thing is that the plastron is slighty concave for male and flat for female. is is accurate if they are big as yours are. how much do you have the one in this video seems as a female.we'll if you can figure it out i will post a vid

I have 3 musks. one is like 4 inches, 1 is like 5 inches, and 1 is like 6 inches. So if the plasteron has even the slightest bit of a dip in it, then it's a female? I also heard something about the head size.

if it dips its a male. if it doesnt then its a female.:o 6 inch as a baby thats a full gorwn musk. you got them for 20 each right?

No, they were like 7 something. Even though they were in the adult section, it said that they were born this year.
