  • The mother is so stupid and the father is too protective

  • This seems to be a typical Malcolm McDowell role. He often plays the bad guy, who appears to be good, but is very sneaky.

His role in Law and Order Criminal Intent, Mr. Slaughter, really reminds me of his role here.

  • wow malcolm mcdowell. you know ive never seen a clockwork orange

  • I'd like to dilly-dally Mary Steenbergen!

  • Stienburgen & McDowell were a couple in Time After Time as she & Christopher Lloyd in Future III

  • RIP Frances Bay, who played Granny! :( She died on Thursday.

  • @entertainer1987 And John Vernon (The dad), who died a few years ago.

  • Granny is a bit of a sot!

  • i remember watching these in like 2nd and 3rd grade. i used to masterbate thinking about shelley duvalle.

  • @jon4321106 oh dear!

  • Malcolm Mcdowell, you sly bastard. He's soo creepy, yet so friggin attractive.... this role would be perfect if he had just kept his regular accent. I could totally see him going up to the girl and being all like "darling..." with that sexy accent. and then BOOM clockwork orange on her ass. -- oh shit they totally made him narrate. His voice = EARGASM!

  • "I want to grow, I just don't know how. I have limited experience." This stuff is so sinister... LOVE IT!!! XD

  • is malcolm mcdowell also the narrator?

  • @KNSweetness Yes, Malcolm narrates the story.

  • Mary Steenburgen was in Back to the Future part 3.

  • Man, John Vernon always plays the most uptight characters!

  • shelley!!! I love her. :)

  • lol,i love the grandmother :)

  • Malcolm McDowell and Mary Steenburgen were married in real life, y'know. :)

  • love malcolm's accent & that little giggle at the end. but yea, he does look like a cat, not threatening at all.

  • @JackieBorelli Yeah, this Wolf seems more funny than scary.

  • lol "its just that tuesdays always wear me out with all that walking from my house to yours"......"that makes perfect sense mary" ROTFL wow

  • All these stars are huge now my goodness!~

  • This episode used to scare the bejesus out of me when I was a kid. Thanks a lot Malcom McDowell. But I loved it all the same...it truly was ahead of its time.

  • No offense to the special effects group, but the wolf reminds me more of a catXD

  • HAHA! I love that Granny! She reminds me so much of my own Gran!

  • I know its was made in the 80s and I bet the Actress who plays 'Riding hood' very good but....she's way to old to play 'little riding hood' she's appers to be 16

  • The actress who plays Little Red Riding Hood is played by Mary Steenburgen, and when they filmed this story, she was either 29 or 30 years old.

  • ohh I see, thanks

  • No problem.

  • @hunnykun101 I think she's in it because she was married to Malcolm Mcdowell.

  • the lady playing Red Riding Hood, is WAY to old to play a child! OMG!

  • yea, but if you watch the whole thing, it makes sense that she's a little older than in the original story.

  • True. Her real name is Mary Steenburgen, and she is either 29 or 30 years old in this story.

  • that makes perfect sense mary

  • well well well!!! who needs to live a pack anyway? ;)) no one!! who wants to live with malcolm ?? I DOOOOOOOOO!!!! and MaryHelsing too ;))))

  • YAY!!!!! ME TOO!! I LOVE YOU MALCOLM!! *Glomps him*

  • I think this one is about rape. The wolf wouldn't stop following little red riding hood, as if her red hood was inviting him. The wolf was all scary. The funny part was the old lady who put a gun at him. So they crawled out of his stomach, when it was cut in the end. The actress was cool, I remember her in the 80s.

  • the mother like's it clean.

  • A paf! lol

  • The original story doesn't always have a wolf(or even a red hood). But yes, in the original story the bad-boy wolf is able to talk his way into her good graces, and the original story is talking about the kind of wolf that can get you into "trouble" if you let him in. The red hood symbolizes puberty, so the girl can get pregnant. A woman pregnant out of wedlock was outcast in those days, so obviously it was a very bad thing. Its a warning not to be alone with men after pubety.

  • Just another reason why Malcolm McDowell is the coolest actor on the planet!

  • It might sound stupid, but that damn wolf scared the crap out of me when I first saw this when I was 5, and I'm now 23. I'm seeing it for the first time in almost 15 years, and it's still appealing to me now. If it was on TV now, I'd watch it.

  • The Wolf's not that scary to me! He's sooo cute and cuddly!! ^_^

  • Yeah, he is now. But when I was 5, when I first saw it, werewolves freaked me out, and he was close to a werewolf as he walked on two feet, and looked like a man. The scene where he eats the Grandmother, in her POV, scared me as a child, because the last thing I wanted to see was a monster like that getting to eat me. Sorry for the long explanation. I watch it now, at 22, and I love it! Never even knew the Big Bad Wolf was Malcolm McDowell either.

  • Lol I know, I used to watch this when I was little. It gave me nightmares! I'm 15 now, and I LOVE rewatching these! They are awesome

  • Granny is a drinker!

  • The wolf walks like a chicken.

  • LOL!!! He sure does!! ^_^

  • This series is the best. Each episode is filled with great actors.

  • Wow. So this was back in the early 80s? The wolf sure looks funny in this show. And who would have guessed he used to be in a pack? Its interesting that Red's actual name is "Marry".

  • hahhaahahhaahahha 3:36 'uhhhh i'm uhh naked!'

and then randomly singing 'for she's a jolly good fellow!'

    grandma's crazy!!

  • @fishyluver14

The Grandmother was my favorite character in this when I was little.

  • Lol before I watched this I just pictured Malcolm McDowell using his normal British accent. It's funny to me cuz it's like he's doing a fake accent or something even though he is British.

  • Lol, a drinking grandma!!! It's no wonder that the wolf didn't get intoxicated when he ate her.

  • Why is the wolf not with the other wolves?

  • he got kicked out from his pack for not sharing a little boy he caught. haha.

  • Oooooh, that wolf seems VERY hungry ALL the time!!

  • He's a rogue wolf.

  • The wolf mentioned at 8:20 that the other pack of wolves didn't want him because, from 8:28-8:31, he mentioned that he ate a little boy by himself. Then he mentioned at 8:33 that the other wolves kicked him out. Also, he mentioned from 8:36-8:38 that he's tired of sharing everything with the other wolves. So this is probably the reason why the wolf is not with the other wolves.

  • I didn't know there were any Aussie wolves LOL!

  • You mean British. Malcolm McDowell was perfect for this. It kinda reminds me of Clockwork Orange.

  • Thanks a lot for all these fabolous videos. I just love them. Thanks a lot for making them a click away...:)
