  • wow everyone is young..

  • Saw it yesterday! A good movie!

  • @kidney122398 Where did you see it? I can't find it anywhere!

  • @trooper5930 It was on television. I also borrowed it from the library.

  • @kidney122398 I tried my public library. They didn't have it. What channel did it play on? Do you have dish network?

  • @trooper5930 No I saw it on Fox Anttv a local channel that shows classic shows and movies. I don't have any cable or dish tv. You might find it on Blockbuster internet rental or Netflix.

  • which movie in the 80s Kevin Bacon hasn't been in? lol

  • Comment removed

  • ...Find this film in streaming is an epic undertaking.

  • @FlashGabriGreen90 did you find a stream?

  • Roger brought me here

  • I love it how the road bike magically morphs into a MTB in some sections.

  • @postshanna

    Breaking away- 1986

    Amazing film.

  • I, love Kevin Bacon!

  • funny if Harley(from EpicMealTime) had Kevin's last name

  • awesome. brakeless in the 80`s . back then, nobody cared.

  • someone tell me more sweet BIKE flicks like this please

  • @postshanna Premium Rush, its about fixed gears

  • i did courier dowtown montreal in the mid-80s on a bmx of all things even in the winter! it was great, i miss the adrenaline charged days only a guy who did this can understand.

  • And then Morpheous freed his mind

  • I LOVED THIS MOVIE BACK IN THE 80'S. I loved Kevin then: I watched every of his movies... Now, 2011, I still love him. Great actor. Great movie! I agree 80's movies had something special. I could watch them now and still enjoy so much. Thanks for this trailer!!!!

  • Kevin Bacon looks like Chucky from childs play.

  • Where's Emmett Brown when you need him?

  • mr. fisburn...we missed you

  • Epic mealtime sent me here... I think i went the wrong way.

  • Featuring Bevin Kacon

  • the movies back in the day were so much better. now there all stupid and have no feeling at all. every new movies a dissapointment!

  • wait did i just see morpheous with a gangster accent?!

  • I watched this film dozen of times when I was 5

  • Bacon said he feels this film is the lowest point of his career, what was so bad about it?

  • 80's were great! gas prices were cheap!

  • @dinero421 i wish i could double like this comment! :)

  • Remember liking this movie when I was a kid. Surprised to find on Wikipedia, however, that Bacon referred to it as "the absoulte lowest point of my career".

  • LONG LIVE BACON !!!!!!!

  • I wasn't a fan of 80's music...but i definately love their movies

  • Originality ruled the 80's. Thank God I grew up in that decade!

  • why couldn't i have grown up in the 80's?? D:

  • Just watched this cuz I didn't even know it existed except i downloaded it. lol. Really good movie. Another great 80s movie I recommend for good drama is Bright Lights, Big City with Michael J. Fox.

  • If that's the case

    And Jack is so smart

Then what is he doing here? -The Freeman

  • @talebi818 Or maybe Fishburne...!

  • I agree,70's and 80's movies were great!.they didn't try to be 'political' and they had an innocence about them.

  • OMG it was Cowboy Curtis @ 1:11 !!!

  • This is a very underrated film. I had a copy of this on VHS, now long since gone, but I must try and get this on DVD. To anyone who hasn't yet seen it, its well worth it. The 80's were a great time. Films had real creativity in them back then. No lazily overdone CGI. Effects had to be invented from scratch. The 80's saw some of the most influential films ever made. This is one of Kevin Bacon's best films. Also a young Jami Gertz before she starred in The Lost Boys...another 80's classic.

  • Back then I got a bike just because I loved this movie soo much.Even to this day have the "Lightning" track by Roger Daltrey in my ipod....I go crazy when it gets on. I become some 20 year ol trouble maker on a bike

  • To this day, when I see this film it makes me wanna ride -that's power.

  • Kevin was so cute <333

  • My life story

  • i'm stockbroker

    i never forgot this movie

    nothing better than experiance

  • Of course back then you had girls and relationships and emotion. That helped to. Now its just gold digs and GGW dvds lol. Just so much mote pure and innocent back then. In every way.

  • 80s were sick because real life was how people act in a RPG game now. And im guessing in RPGs their just being natural. People say the 80s was less natural instinct and more false. It was actually quite the oposit compared to the suicidal life blows current gen for the kids.

  • It was the shit back in the day. in the 80s i used to do courier downtown mtl with a freestyle bmx year-round it was totally dangerous & RAD.

  • one of the most emotional film i've ever seen

  • @hhhanhj I have not seen this one yet :( Given the premise of the movie i think it would be good one for me to see at this point and time ;)

  • @hhhanhj Not to mention my friends have always called me Kevin Bacon.. lol ;)

  • Ah, back when movies weren't all based on comics and other bullshit. I'd love to go back to the 80's when a good script meant something.

  • This movie makes you want to be a bike messenger. Even if the pay is lousy, cars and trucks run you off the road sometimes, and maybe the occasional psychotic, orange crush drinking drug dealer uses you as a fall guy for the police. Just forget about that jazz, man, and fly down those hilly streets with the wind in your face.

  • Laurence Fishburne at 1:13 marker !

Morpheus before the Matrix was built.

  • I go as fast as I like!

  • Kevin Bacon is the sexiest man alive!!

    I love the 80s!!

  • HAHAHAHA 0:19

  • もしも、この映画に出会っていなかったら...

    今の自分の人生は無かっただろう。

    ぜひ日本でもDVDを市販して欲しい。

  • Does somebody know what is the song in this trailer? Didn't find it on the orginal soundtrack >:(

  • As a fixie rider I have nothing but the best feelings regarding this film.

I'm am a hipster douche and will tatoo this logo on my arm in an unbroken ribbon so that my sleeve tattoo is nothing but the best of 80's mullet pretentiousness. I also like Kavinsky, Kraftwerk and The Misfits. Apart from the sleeve tattoo this post has been 100% authentic. What does that mean?

    Kevin Bacon 4 EVA!!!!!

  • Street sign says one way east. I go west.

  • a bmx bike works better

  • @TheBaller357 bmx bikes are slow as fuck.

  • @TheBaller357 I AGREE. These 80s racers were PURE SHIT & broke all day long.

  • one of kevin bacons best movie:D it`s sad that this movie never got real famous:(

  • 1:44 is super funny! I watched this one on beta in canada in 86 I think! Loved it!

  • Love this movie, I remember seeing it for the first time when I was like 5 years old. My dad recorded it off of HBO for me and I watched it all the time. I remember being so young that I couldn't read yet and referred to this movie as "the Kevin Bacon movie." We eventually lost the tape but I was lucky enough to find it on DVD a few years ago, still watch it from time to time mostly for purposes of nostalgia.

  • Morpheus holy shit

  • Another great 80's movie, One of my all-time favorites. Does anybody know the name of the song they play when Kevin Bacon(Jack Casey) is racing Voodoo(Laurence Fishburne)?. I believe the lyrics go something like ''i'm trading these chains for wings'', any help would be appreciated, thanks.

  • That song is called Quicksilver Lightning by Roger Daltrey. Love that song.

  • @ToppsHeritage can someone post that song please!????

  • @ToppsHeritage

thanks, but it is not "Quicksilver Lightning" :(

Me too, I'd like to find this awesome theme.

  • para los que hablan espanol. esta pelicula esta en youku com en espanol!

  • anyone know the song name played in this trailer?

  • Yes, if anyone knows the song played in this trailer i would apreciate a lot. I wachted the movie at the cinema and i went to buy straight away the soundtrack of the movie because of this song. My surprise was, the song was not included whitin. Can you believe it?

  • 1:12 - morpheus?

  • the GREEN GOBLIN!!!!!!

  • Such an awesome movie, I still have the soundtrack on cassette

  • 098anna - i agree wit u....he still looks good, but he looked hotter!!!!

    *<:D

  • messengers were probably pissed when this movie came out.

  • kevin bacon........used to be hot.

but he isn't the worst looking compared to old men i've seen

  • tastes like kevin bacon

  • LOL

  • Great film.

  • his favorite band is IWABO

  • he played in friday the 13th

  • am i the only one that notices that he looks like William Fitchner

  • only you

  • Kevin Bacon - the worst Balto voice ever.

  • kevin bacon OG hipster

  • i love kevin bacon :D

i wish he was still young and hot

  • Kevin Bacon best film, I miss this actor in roles like this. This movie is like a symbol for me. Thank you for making it.

  • O.o dude hes in the movie Apollo 13...

  • I'll always remember how awesome the Quicksilver logo looked when the letter Q lit up in sparks to illuminate the rest of the logo.

  • YUPPY SCUM

  • any torrent or other with this movie, pls

  • This is the Dickhoner Trailer

  • anybody know of any sites where i can watch the full film?

  • Wow, just seeing that Columbia Pictures logo made me feel old

  • me too man. we miss the 80's.

  • Awesome movie!!!!!!

    Scary car scene.

  • I'm watching this film on Fox right now.. The bike dance seen is kinda cool!

  • This is so old, look how young Lawrence Fishburne looks. For those of you who don't know, Fishburne plays Morpheus in The Matrix trilogy. He is in the movie "21" as well. What year was this movie from?

  • i think 83 or 86 lol thats a gap

  • No the movie came out in 1985. The old movies are the best. So much more feeling to them.

  • no dude, 80s movies were great. Everything made in the 80s was magical!. People seem more human back then and there was a ton of artistic talent.

  • Well said. Don't you miss how gritty and realistic the cinematography used to be like in this movie? Movies today are way too bright, the colors too vivid.

  • yes! movies today are so pristine and clean looking.... realism is absent

  • @floresed indeed indeed

  • @floresed It's because today's actors can't act and they are arrogant on film. Actors in the 70's & 80's were talented and more humble on screen. Today actors are just attention whores who act on screen like they know their in a blockbuster . Back then you had to actually have acting experience. Being a wrestler or a rapper would not get you into film.

  • @floresed Fucking A man! right on

  • @RememberTheEighties

    1985 is not old.

  • 1:29

  • Some of it was filmed in N.y. I did some of the race scenes ( where you just see things from the perspective of the biker)on fifth ave and seventh ave. in nyc with a bike-mounted cam. I was also the second model you see in the movie when the initial credits come on. twenty years ago: before my good looks decomposed. my fifteen seconds of fame. rather shitty movie to me. chase scenes that start in nyc and end in san fran? i bike messenged for thirteen years; no serious injuries.

  • what can you make a week as a bike messenger in NYC?

  • It sucks I've been waiting a couple of weeks for this movie from blockbuster online but it still say long wait.

  • have u recieved yet?

  • Yeah, I enjoyed the movie alot to. Even for its age it was still a very impressive movie. Definitely one of the best cyling movies out there.

  • I need this movie I missed it

  • What kind of a madman goes West when the street sign says one-way East?

  • Seriously! This guy's got some BALLS!

  • Great movie! Here in brazil it calls "Quicksilver - O Prazer de Ganhar" (Quicksilver - The Pleasure to Win)

  • Quiero verla!!! Y genio Tony Banks con la música!!! :)

  • This looks amazing!! I must watch!!

  • I'm getting a new bike and i was wondering what i could name it so i typed in google bike movie and found quicksilver!with KEVIN BACON! in it! woot! i will now call my bike jack casey!

  • omg, it's the girl from The Lost Boys

  • yeah her name was Star in that

  • Just think what he could on a moped...

  • I think you could be a little more specific; what kind of moped; make and model, cc, year of manufacture? You have us all confused.

  • you know like an old 49cc tomos or something

  • fuck yea driving for saps

  • Risk is purely personal

  • I haven't seen the full movie before, but the song used on this trailer is really awesome! Some nice mid 80s style keyboard!

  • Great movie! I love the end song "Throught the Night", from John Parr and Marilyn Martin.

  • Hahaha. " The courage to get it back ".

Riding a bike has really inspired me towards the stock market. FUCK! I feel like I'm missing something.

  • My personal history is eeirly similar to this movie. Go watch it first and then we'll talk.

  • What city is it? NYC or San Francisco? Looks like both! NewSanFranYorkCo?

  • i wanna watch it =( . only dum AOL has the whole thing. gonna throw a tantrum now

  • no surfing?

  • I remember seeing this movie around my 11th birthday...in 1986! Can't believe it's been over 21 years...

  • Man, I remember seeing this movie right around my 11th birthday.....in 1986! I can't belive it's been over 21 years....

  • pure cheese

  • luv this movie ;-) ... that tery girl looked like gwen stefanie in a way

  • I really want to download this movie. Anyone wanna help please?

  • Great film, instant classic. Kevin and Larry were sooooo young. heh heh heh.

  • I watch this when I was a kid, and never forget it. Great 80's classic!

  • Great 80's Movie! Sure, Sony/Columbia have "Men In Black", "Spider-Man", & many other hits now, but, studios like Sony need to make some sort of classic throwback. Be like a classic 80's movie, but, with a modern 21st century touch.

  • yes it is sf for sure...I was thinking where the hell there were hills like that in NY. Ahhh...even the wack movies prefer SF, what can i say.

  • where was this movie done? looks like sf

  • Yeah, it's supposed to take place in NY but check out the jumping on SF hills! It was filmed in both SF and NY from what I read.

  • In one of the early street scenes you see a city bus drive by with a blue radio station banner on the side that says KMET 94.7. That radio station was in LA. Maybe some filler scenes were filmed there.

  • In another couple of scenes they show buses with the MUNI emblem on them (San Francisco metro transit.) I think they were trying to create a fictional city because yeah they were showing the stock exchange in NY and then really steep streets in SF, LA sounds right too.

  • It was filmed in San Francisco and the studio in L.A. They wanted to portray Manhattan, but it's obviously cheaper to go up the coast a bit instead of 3000 miles to make a flick. Very good entertainment value, though.

  • such a classic.
