I've seen his memorial video, & it rips my heart apart. Socky captured my heart after he had already gone to The Bridge - what a powerful little soul he is!! "Can't Touch This Ferret" - he was way too cool & a tough little fighter. Thank you for rescuing him - I know he brought you much joy in his short life...Peace...:-)

@immeaparently thanks so much :) Poor Socky almost didn't make it through the night when we first brought him home, he was in horrible condition. As you can see he tried to make up for those years of abuse, by living life to the fullest.

Sadly he has passed away since then and is still dearly missed as he was my little ray of sunshine.

funnysmarty101 they are veryyy fun to have as pets but there cage must be cleaned everyday r it will spell like something died in your room. NO JOKE! They cage cost like 50-200 dollars where i live and the ferret it self cost like 190 where i live. & if u have other animals like dogs ur ferret will need a shot every year. But other then that there easy they sleep alot.

so cute awesome dogs im adopting a dog soon and i have four ferrets any tips on how to train them to be cool with the ferrets ?

As long as your dog respects you as an owner / pack leader and your house as your territory, you should be fine. As much as I love my puppies, like my children, I do have house rules and expectations of them.

I wouldn't encourage these types of interactions with submissive dog owners, where the dog is the "pack leader". These types of owners usually have very little control over thier dogs.

I suggest get to know the dog first and how it will react to things, before introducing the ferrets.

i just wanted to add that animals are alot like kids too they do get jealous when not payed attention to especially when they go from being center of attention to having to share ur attention with another animal. make sure to treat them equally or like children they will start to act out and do things that they normally wouldnt do and might even try to harm eachother due to jealousy. hope that helps a little also lol

I appreciate the warning. My dogs are exceptional with our ferrets as well as our various other critters, even our new additions (2) kits. Even then our ferrets are only loose when we are able to keep an eye on them.
