Ultimately, people must be informed on politics and ANY influence in government not directly derived from the people/individuals must be eradicated. ex. its a misnomer deregulation does small companies good if they are being outlobbied by larger domestic and international corps. Policy, laws, earmarks, subsidies will be shaped by money/influence anyway.

the makers of this film are so blatantly financially ignorant it's painful to watch.... It doesn't matter how much oil there is to paint a price, because the established company does not "OWN" the oil UNTIL it is taken out of the ground. Oil is as expensive as it costs to take out, this isn't rocket science and very FREAKING basic. If the national company ran at a deficit and blew money on it from other sectors to try to keep prices low, that causes scarcity and other problems. Total ignorance.

It seems that no matter which government says the word "privatization" it never really IS privatization--the industries that are "privatized" remain very much under government regulation. The so-called 'privatization' of the electric industry in the US is a prime example. California's energy shortages are a direct result of restrictions on CA suppliers to adjust prices to fit the market requirements. When government uses that word, it's a lie.
