I did this part as a monologue for my university application last year (my degree is Comedy: Writing and Performance). This will always hold very special memories for me. Thanks for posting this. :-)
part 4: I love it all. I love all of our advancements and (most of) all our cultural developments.. I see and appreciate the awesomeness of it all... But, I wish there weren't so many talented people (in whatever art form you choose) from throughout the ages so that we could still have a place for the greats of times gone by... Excuse my ramble... I just wish we could hold the Marx Bros. in the same esteem today as we do Lady Gaga (not a fan personally, but respect, ya know). God bless ya' all
part 3: and I feel as though they just don't get it. While, to something like this (that I just showed my older brother), I'm laughing with tears in my eyes while they let out a chuckle every minute or so... Same with music, same with old movies, same with older literature, traditional chivalry or gentlemanly-based customs... I love the modern times, internet, satellite tv, omnipresent media (in every sense of the word), designer drugs, improvements in science, medicine, everything and more
part 2: so admirable and impressive... it may not involve the raunchy stuff modern comedies do (adult language, fucking apples pies, cats shitting in ash remains of parents, etc. etc.) but the perfectly composed simplicity and intelligence makes my chest hurt... And, not to sound like those obnoxious kids that post things like "I'm fifteen and I love this music/ashamed of my generation", but I'm 22 and it does kind of pain me when I show my friends and family anything outside of the modern era
part 1: we took some pictures of the native girls, but they weren't developed...but we're going back again in a couple of weeks (as he begins to smile with a sense of pride)(my favorite zinger he throws in there)... I love that his humor is so fast, so dry, it often isn't until you've watched a few times until you understand that nearly every line is a punchline... I laugh my ass off at modern comedic films, don't get me wrong, and this humor is so innocent by comparison... but it's nevertheless

@evodkrad I agree. They were hilariously epic. Nobody since has been able to do what the four Marx did.
