we found a stoat behind a pile of shingles in my nebours yard. It looks exsactly like this one. We put it in a plastic box, drilled air holes in it, gave it a fish and some water, then let it go at the creek.
@pokie4life while im glad you had thought of relocating the stoat you captured, it is unnecessary to drill holes in animals. they can typically aspirate quite well as nature created them, without additional ventilation to their lungs.
Weasels are truly one of God's greatest creations! I just cant stop studying them!
