NO ONE in the media be it TV or newspaper called it a "riot". To do so would have been inaccurate, dumb. The people who did call it a riot were locals against alcohol who campaigned against alcohol. They lied & called it a 'riot' so they could get enough votes to win the election. I was on the boardwalk the day the brawl took place & I can tell you locals & not just tourists had a hand in the brawl. The ban has been in place for over a year. On 3-day weekends the beach is now like a morgue.
