Pete is playing the guitar in the intro, you may be getting mixed up with the idle guitar player at the start who is Simon Townshend, Pete's brother, they look very similar.
No Problem, yeah Pete is playing at alot lower volumes for the last few years as he has severe hearing damage, after the Super Bowl performance Pete was struck down with serious tinnitus, now the future of the band is uncertain!!! Pete will using a new in ear monitor for The Who's only scheduled gig, March 30th at the Royal Albert Hall, he said if the problems persist then that's it for the band!!! there finished!!! I have my fingers firmly crossed!!!
@fanofthemusic1090 I agree with this to a point, I mean Moon and Entwistle could never be replaced they were too unique, which obviously added to The Who's sound, They have two well established players now, Zak Starkey on drums and Pino Paladino on bass, great players in their own right, but they don't get anywhere close to emulating Moon and Entwistle, but alas I think it is great The Who are caring on, Pete is still one of the greatest writers and guitar players on the planet, and Roger.......
@fanofthemusic1090 and Roger is still probably the greatest voice in rock n roll, despite illness troubles 2 years ago, he can still nail it! I liked Endless Wire, great album, doesn't compare to their earlier stuff, but their in their 60's now, and are 10 times better than most of the trash that are so called in their prime now, Yes the band ain't the same, their old now, and two of the musicians have died, but I'm glad I get to get a glimpse of Pete and Roger live!! They irreplaceable too!!
Amen mudafucka. No, I really don't know why I posted anything at all. It's like, I really don't need to let people know every little frivolous detail about what I think about the Who.
@fanofthemusic1090 haha ah no its a valid point and Iknow alot of people would agree with you that The Who should call it a day, I know the band ain't the same anymore but as I already said I'm glad Pete and Roger are doing it still, playing and writing brilliantly,
It's just awesome to see Ringo's son(who is the drummer for Oasis as well) playing with the Who. Ringo and Keith were very good friends. I bet pop is proud.
I WAS THERE... we had seats way the hell back, but some ticket agent lady for the who "upgraded" us. we though she was bullshittin but next thing we knew, we were right in front of Pete. It was like WHOAAAAA..... best day of my life
wow, I saw the Who 4 days after this. They were great. It is awesome that they are still as awesome as they are. Too bad Keith and John...er...couldn't make it.

I LOVE THE WHO TO DEATH, BUT that was terrible! It is not the same without Moon for obvious reason(check the current drumming) and the masterpiece bass playing of John Enwhistle! R.I.P. John and Keith--you're very well missed!
Of course The Who aren't the same without the two great bass player John and drummer Keith but it's better to see the remaining two Roger and Pete still touring and keeping their John and Keith memories alive. These four guys John,Roger,Peter and Keith were closer than The Beatles ever could get.
Awesome. A lot of singers from older bands sound like crap nowadays, but its nice to see that Roger's still got his voice. Pete and his brother are both good at guitar too.

I respect these guys enormously, but the band has been done since Moon died, or at least once Entwistle died.

I mean, to be perfectly honest, it's not the who, it's Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend with two guys no one cares about. Great musicians, though.
