  • if you go to site Movie Watcherus then you can see this free lol

  • miss march isn't considered to be a whitest kids production because only 2 out of 5 members did it

  • The Knowing made 24 Million. DAMNIT!

  • Wasn't that bad mate....

  • In fact, it was brilliant. Not kidding.

  • i saw knowing i liked it

  • I hear that Nicolas Cage accepts these roles in order to reinvent himself.

  • He does it to reinvent his wig.

  • Too late.

  • Race to Witch Mountain really deserves to go to the number 1 spot, it's a great movie.

  • Man I completely agree about Nick Cage. What the hell has he been thinking? And it's not that long ago that he was making movies like Weatherman and LordOfWar. Now he seems hell bent on tanking his career with every acting job he takes.

  • watchmen was terrible. i felt liek wtf is going on here and at time it felt liek it was jsut some porno batman flick.

  • Cause you obviously went in thinking it was a action flick.

its more than that, I agree that the sex scenes were too much but the story line is good, morals and character development was in depth and I think this is Zack Snyder's best movie.

  • you have GOT to be kidding me! 300 is 10x better!!!

  • I agree with you on Nicolas Cage at the end. Is there no movie that he is going to say no to?

  • i heard that (KNOWING) has a twist ending .

it does sound like an M. Night Shyamalan movie ~_~

  • yes, a very BAD twist ending. ruined the movie for me

  • I'm also a Cage fan, especially after seeing Lord of War in '05. I'd say that LoW is my favorite movie starring Cage in the last 5 years.

  • Wow, WTF did people think? Watchmen was awesome!

  • it sure was. kinda sad that no one saw that huh?

  • i really find what the rock has done with his career to be very sad. He left an industry that he completely dominated to go to another where he is a B list actor that is starring in rolls that he shouldn't be starring in. his star power is diminishing quickly. I mean his name is what makes him famous and that from his wrestling persona, not his characters from the movies. Compare his success to hulk hogan, but hogan would frequently return to wrestling and not abandon it like the rock did.

  • Wrestling is short lived these days and the wise guys who are fortunate enough end in hollywood albiet in "B" form

  • How much did the DragonFuckingBall make during the opening week by the way?

  • Dragon-fucking-ball: Evo-fucking-lution. ;)

  • I think Watchmen hasn't made as much as it should because people think it's going to be full of action. But in reality the book is full of emotional angst and deep complex thought.

  • Oh god, the Race to Witch Mountain was so bad it was funny. So many plot holes and bad special effects. The Bullet Scene had me laughing my ass off for several days since the bullets in slow motion honestly looked like plastic molds.

  • I completely agree with everything you said about Nicolas Cage. You were right on the ball with that one.

When I first saw the trailer for Knowing, it seemed similar to his relatively new film, Next

AND HOLY SH#T! 18 million dollars? Damn I thought this would be huge!

  • Vin Diesel - The Pacifier... That's all I gotta say, Dwayne...

  • Watchmen is hard to sell, it's hard to explain to people who haven't read it. A shame, but w/e, it was pretty obvious that this would happen.

  • You must see 'The Whitest Kids You Know'. There's plenty of clips on youtube.

  • People are saying Watchmen sucks because They Were Expecting a Non-Stop Action Film

    -_- Damn Trailer makes

  • Julia Roberts is a bane on my existence.

  • There so many idiots saying " oh Watchmen suck because they changed the ending, ohh why" Because a Big Squid doesnt make sense in a real world, and the new ending is more real. Oh yeah who thinks this is a action movie or a Superhero movie, well its not. Read the NOVEL ( Graphic novel) !!

  • It seems a reality check has occurred recently.

Maybe people have realised the bad impression H-wood made on the consumer in the past few months. And after a string of bad films, combined with other things, does the industry really expect people to return in droves? And that's despite the now and again good film (Of which some still leave a stench of bad impression because of who its made by)?

It could also be that Watchmen suffers from Terminator 3 syndrome.

  • Well, H-Wood does earn a rather significant amount of cash from the countries which focuses less on great films and more on pure entertaining movies.

Currently, I believe the Eastern countries have yet to gain that reality check... yet.

  • But isn't that the point of going to the movies? For entertainment, for fun?

  • Not always. That's why there's a difference between the term, 'film,' and the word, 'movie.'

Films are philosophical, with great, life-changing messages behind them. We go and view them because we want to learn something.

Movies are just pure eye-candies that treats us as if we had left our brains at the entrance of the theater. Not always, but it's happening more frequently nowadays.

  • Uh...no.

Paul Blart, Taken, Gran Torino and Slumdog Millionaire have all hit $130 million. People aren't sick of the movies this years, they are heading to them in droves because recessions are GREAT for Hollywood.

Watchmen is just too hard to explain. I loved it, but it's hard to give it a summary, which is always a bad thing.

  • i gotta that watchmen got what it deserved. i enjoyed the movie, but it wasn't done right and it was hyped up to be something it was not. hollywood shouldn't give up on new ideas, but they should know that word of mouth does do damage to a movie if it doesn't meet its hype. watchmen should teach WB to do their projects better next time or promote it better.

  • You're an idiot. Just because you don't have the attention span for anything longer than 90 minutes does NOT mean it's a bad movie. You probably also didn't even bother to read the book. I hate you close-minded bastards.

  • Paul Blart doesn't have a naked man.

  • I would Rather watch the Naked Man

  • Have you read the graphic novel? Reading over your comment, you're probably one of the wannabe's who went there expecting a Superhero movie, but instead got something which your brain couldn't comprehend.

Paul Blart is for dumb asses who can't tell good movies from bad movies. It's so fucking un original and the "jokes" are so damn overused. I

  • Yeah, but some guys (especially the 'tweenies' of the 13-21 years age) simply couldn't care less; they just want to have a laugh by paying seven mere bucks and sitting through less than two hours of eye candies.

  • Atleast Paul Blart had a likeable protagonist. Watchmen was a waste of money. They killed my favorite character the Comedian.

  • The Killed off My Favorite Character Too

But it's Still a Decent Film and I Hate

the Director but I will not Lie he did a Good Job

  • Paul Blart doesn't have any hot, naked women either. And the Comedian was dead prior to the movie anyways. Everyone knew he was dead from the damn trailer.

  • I disagree with the D on Watchmen. a lot of fans hated that movie, and when I went to see, half the audience had left the movie by the time it was over. I'm not surprised it had such a drop, considering how many of the fans were disappointed by the movie and how many people walked in thinking it was another action film when it was not.

  • Go Paul Blart go!

  • the fanboys and critics really are to blame here (you guys really are your own worst enemy), all that nitpicking that they did made it sound like it was a bad film and as a result it dropped like 60% at the box office, look ive read the graphic novel and im a fanboy of watchmen as well but the difference is i know that it is a movie not a book alto of these hardcore fanboys do not seem to be getting that. watchmen gets a 4/4 from me.

  • Yes, but as an art form - a film, to be precise - Watchmen needs to be compared to the graphic novel in order to determine its true quality.

  • paul blart is a disaster in asia. and race to the witch mountain was pulled off because the cinemas know that asian kids and families love GOOD films not fucked up cheesy ones so asia is doing great

  • Very good, as usual, but March is almost over...will we see the rest of Batman this month?

  • i have bad news, paul f@3@!$#$ blart is coming out in my country this week so it will probably make anothe couple million

  • Thank God my country probably has only less than a million movie-goers.

  • "the sports center of movies"

    you can have that one....

  • looks like H-Wood is almost finished with Horror Classic Remakes and went on to SciFi Classic Remakes. 2010 we're getting Fantastic Voyage, Forbidden Planet, Fahrenheit 451, RoboCop, Highlander, Short Circuit, Dune, Logan's Run, The Incredible Shrinking Man, The Invisible Man, The Invisible Woman and another The Thing.

For Horrorfilms I only could find Pet Sematary and A Nightmare on Elm Street.

  • they're also remaking chucky

  • Wasn't there a film titled, "2001" or something? I had initially thought that '2012' would be considered a remake of that.

  • 2001 - A Space Odyssey. There's also "2010: The Year We Make Contact". The books series continues with "2061: Odyssey III" but was never and hopefully will never get made into a film, wasn't so good.

2012 will be an apocalypse movie brought to you by Roland "The Day After Tomorrow" Emmerich. The Mayan Calender runs out and that can only mean the world gonna end....

Should hit the theatres in November

  • hey, don't diss cage. just cuase he occasionally picks bad movies doesn't mean he's a bad actor.

  • Just means that he's got bad taste.

  • miss march is the same old crap. just becasue you plot your movie around a playboy star does not mean you have balls. quite the opposite.

  • pixar movies are smart? since when? wall e and toy story included pixar movies aren't very smart at all.

  • Wow... have you EVER left you cynicism at the theater entrance before you caught those Pixar flicks...?

  • no...why the hell would I do that?

  • Because if you don't, what you say is just considered as total biased BS.

Check MPC's rating of his preview reviews at the beginning of every videos, a-hole.

  • don't tell me what to do. mpc doesn't refrain from taking a swipe at movies he doesn't like and neither should I. how can hating paul blart not be considered biased at some level.

  • It is not about whether you hate Pixar films or not. The current issue is that you claimed that they are not 'smart,' which is like billions of miles away from the truth.

Besides, you have yet to explain why they are retarded.

It's always the same. "Animation is retarded, it's not smart. It's cartoon." All you cynics are alike. I'm so sick of you people.

  • well, you have not argued why they ARE so smart. you have called me names and generalized me. i am so sick you confrontaiotnal youtube haters. i am a big fan of animation and cartoons and am fully aware of how they can be smart and intelligent. Shrek (not pixar) and Wall E are good examples since the former turns the Disney fairy tale world on its head and the latter subtly criticizes our consumer lifestyle. the rest, in my opinion, are predictible matricized cartoons...

  • ....sometimes they aren't even original. bugs life ripped off antz (another good one). shark tale ripped off finding nemo. mdadgascar was ripped off by some movie called zooscape or something. i do not find this intelligent or smart. but maybe I'm wrong. you are entiltled to your own opnion and i do not think of you as an a-hole for thinking otherwise.

  • No, but the movie world seriously doesn't need any more retards who would fail to recognize a good movie nowadays - it would just contribute to the moviepocalypse.

And you, my friend, is one of the biggest of them all. Antz ripped off A Bug's Life, not the other way round. A Bug's Life was produced earlier than Antz, and Fking Antz got to release it earlier. THE FKING REASON I HATE DREAMWORKS! I WOULD NEVER SUPPORT DREAMWORKS IN MY FKING LIFE!

Let's not forget their ripping of The Wild.

  • Voulez-vous coucher avec moi, ominous flare?

  • Wow, that's low, man. Using another language in your argument? Have you ran out of creative tools in defending your all-so-little dignity that you have to be reduced to such level?

    Nice.

  • your the one calling names boy. retard, ahole, etc. you sir have sohpistication written all over you. and since when is pixar films aren't smart controversial? dude if they mean that much to you i fell just a little sorry for you.

  • A) That's because you ARE a retard for not recognizing the genius of Pixar films. Those aren't names. Those are labels which I've placed upon you after I feel that you aren't even intelligent enough to perceive the goodness of Pixar features.

Hm... what does that make you? Oh, right, a 'tard.

    B) You were acting like such a big, pompous know-it-all jerk at the first place, and the term that first occurred to me is a full blown hole.

  • and your acting a hateful youtube commenter who safely dishes out ad homminum fallacies behind a screen name. what does that make you.? sad.

"appreciate the goodness of Pixar?" what are you, high? please tell me what your taking.

  • Man, if I could come out any get you, I would have pwned you right away. There's no need to keep it civilized with an uncivilized being such as yourself. And yes, I considered my previous acts dealt upon you to be very civilized already.

And you're saying that I call you names? I merely said what I thought was the truth while you are obviously just throwing random insults. What's so truthful about me being on crack just because I am able to appreciate the quality story-telling of Pixar movies?

  • oh someone who dislikes pixar is uncivilized, haven't heard that definition before. and you did call me a retard several times. and your opinion of movies is not "the truth" and neither is mine.

  • Never said it was. Just claiming that it is 'what I feel' to be the truth.

And thanks for proving my point. I claimed that you're uncivilized because you were acting so stubborn a few comments back:

"don't tell me what to do. mpc doesn't refrain from taking a swipe at movies he doesn't like and neither should I. how can hating paul blart not be considered biased at some level."

Qute, unquote. You didn't bother to explain yourself, thinking that your 'all-so-greatness' in enough to supply.

  • No, I take that back, too. The moment when you were being stubborn was when you claimed, "Why the hell would I do that?" after I claimed you were being cynical, which is just my opinion, which is put out in not a really uncivilized manner, if I would to judge.

  • C) Since when did I say they were never controversial? I was merely claiming that since you brought up the controversy first, you should be the one to backup your argument.

  • D) Yeah, they do mean a lot to me, and I see no reason for any pity to be gained. They are just general movies, not a totally different genre of films. Why shouldn't I be totally obsessed over ordinary movies like those as many fans are obsessed over countless of ordinary movies out there?

  • no, i take that back. you were just throwing around insults so i thought I'd jump in. its cool that you like pixar movies thats awesome that you enjoy them. its not awesomme the way you've gone rabid over someone's criticism of them. listen i love fantasy movies, i don't love every single one of them and i don't single out people who say they don't like them. quote MPC "different stokes ofr different folks"

  • Rabid is a little harsh. I would say more like 'defending the truth till the very end' - or at least, what I see as the truth.

True, I don't love every single Pixar movie either, and I definitely don't single everyone who doesn't like them. It's just when I feel that something needs to be said about your claim of Pixar films not being 'smart,' then do I lash out at you - maybe a little too overboard at some moments, but I know I did it out of the love for good movies in general.

  • Bugs Life couldn't have ripped off Antz, because they were released too close to each other. That would have had to have been one fast plagiarism, lol. =P

  • Same thing. Madagascar. Produced later, released earlier by seven to eight years because The Wild is such a tough film to make.

  • Oh, and you've started the whole controversial that Pixar films aren't smart, so why don't you start your backup first in order not to make yourself look like some fanboy poser? At least I've backed my Dreamworks-Ripoff theory with some facts.

  • y u give us a d for watchmen????? its not our fault that no body knows what the hell it is!!!

  • and its not our fault that they poorly advertised the movie!!!

I Love You Man seems like it wil be the first actually good and heart felt comedy of the year! Hope to watch it.

  • yes it is, shame on you!

  • Since Watchmen isnt bringing in the bucks that H-Wood wanted, prepare for them to stop taking comic book adaptations seriously and prepare for more stuff for the kids when it comes to comics. The only question is is it a blessing or a curse? . Watchmen was a test too see if non-mainstream characters and GN could make it in the movie world, and now the results are in. Many other GNs will not be made and if they are they will most likely be dumbed down to ensure profit.

  • (cont.) So now I ask again is it a blessing or a curse? H-Wood wont take a gamble again so many titles wont be touched, but there is always that chance that they could have been awesome and as good if not better than their comic counter-parts. And as I mentioned now the comic adaptations will be more mainstream and likely less grown-up. Its already happened once with Batman Returns, and I expect it will happen again. Luckily with Batman's new success he wont change, but all others... who knows.

  • watchmen sucked thats why it didn't make money

  • Oh, and seeing how much they have supported Witch Mountain, expect my friends (and a whole lot of Singaporean teens - save the few wise ones) to catch Paul Fking Blart when it comes out in theaters.

    Let the moviepocalypse commence.

  • (cont'd) this will really be a 'WTF' moment. I can't stand the cynicism of this country anymore! Ugh...

Sigh, but hopefully... just hopefully, the audiences overseas (not including the Americans who had already did rather poorly for the Caroline viewing) would open their eyes, not because it might have a good story (I haven't really caught the movie myself because, as I said, it's not released in SG yet), but because we need to support animated films as general movies. Animation is not a genre.

  • After Caroline comes out, it would be the one classified by my friends (and many cynical 13-21 years old students) as a fking kids movie in Singapore. WTF?

Well, it's definitely not a first for Singaporeans (or many movie-goers of any country, for that matter) to label an animated movie as a kids film, and it's kinda acceptable that they do. But after my friends treat Witch Mountain as a comedy that could entertain teens (and probably adults) because of its laughs,

  • It's sad that Watchmen didn't do good T-T It had so much promise. Definatly D worthy behavior.

And screw the Rock. I never liked him but now Disneys castrated him.

I'm sad Miss March failed. The Whitest Kid U Know are really funny *sigh*

  • Well, maybe it is. IDK. I haven't checked it out myself, not because I'm overly influenced by your comments about it being a kids movie, though. As I (think) I (have) said, I had not like the preview of this movie long before you commented on it. Even though that was quite a long time after I had started watching your videos, but still, by then, I had recognize what a sh*tty movie is, and Witch Mountain kinda smelled like one to me.

The worst rake-in ever would be Caroline, however.

  • Knowing was actually pretty good! Me and my dad were joking how it looked like a knock off National Treasure and "23".

Although it does involve numbers predicting disasters, it does it better then 23. The movie asks questions to those who like them and gives thrills for those who seek them. Leaves the audience wondering what will happen next.

I'll probably see "I love you man" later on this weekend with my Bros, looks pretty good, it'll probably take the #1 spot this weekend.

  • Great breakdown. Though this one's a little short, you did a good job going into as much details as you could have, and by using as much time you had to spare.

I know, I probably get an F- for not watching Watchmen, but it's just so difficult to go and watch it alone. You don't know the peer pressure that's involve in here.

It might be just a personal thing (seeing as how I've got social problems), but, well, there's your explanation

  • - it's a cynical world out here, and Singaporeans just aren't that interested in stopping the moviepocalypse or spending their money on movies for the good course. Indifference in the main issue here, and their poor taste just makes it worst.

I actually have friends aging about 16-17 watching Witch Mountain. Sure, they only caught it probably because of the actor factor - Dwayne Fking Rock - but the thing is, they had actually thought it was 'pretty hilarious.' WTF?!

  • Aren't the guys from "Independence Day" and "The Day After Tomorrow" making a similar movie?

  • Yeah - it's titled '2012,' IIRC.

  • Yeah they're making 2012 is I'm not mistaken

  • actualy the reason for knowing is probably the increasing hype of the whole 2012 thing i would expect more apocolyptic movies such as knowing to be made b4 this hyped up date

  • Maybe the so-called 'apocalypse' predicted was actually the moviepocalypse... o_O"

  • sounds like another future movie idea lol

  • I'm an addict to this guy's videos now. Love his analysis.

  • thanks for the info

  • Yep everyone fucked up on watchmen, we deserve a F because it is just gonna make hollywood make more shit.

  • Well, not really. If the rating ain't over the age of 18, I would had been able to go watch it with my friends, thus making it a 'bromance' trip rather than a 'I went and sat through a two hours movie alone' trip, which would be kinda an unappealing experience for me, despite Watchmen's awesomeness.

  • In regards to the 'Last House on the Left' remake, I've actually heard pretty good things about it. People are saying it isn't as good as the original, but that it's still solid. I've personally decided to avoid it.

In any case, I can say I did my part in helping 'Watchmen'. Last saturday, I took a friend to go see it, which was also a bit of a novelty because it was the first time either of us bought tickets for an R-rated movie, watching it without a guardian. We loved whipping out our IDs.

  • Sheesh, Paul F*@$ing Blart won't go away.... Well, be on the lookout for Seth Rogan's new film, Observe and Report. It's basically a Paul Blart with a different actor.

  • What you gonna do? Its advertisement probably made it seem like a great, over-the-top, bromance comedy for boys, especially overseas (and of course, in Singapore) which doesn't really have SNL broadcasted on TV.

  • Good breakdown (except for saying h-wood, just say hollywood ****it!) I am not sure I like your view on Watchmen's total box office take though. It's already made $140 million worldwide, and will most likely break even in the U.S and make profit over sees (once it gets released in more countries) especially with the amount of good reviews that have come out for the film. It hasn't been out long enough to make such a stern judgment.

  • Geeze...70% drop for Watchmen? I guess the Moviepocolypse just got a huge sholving of coal in it's engine. :(

  • I really hope Nicholas Cage does snap out of his bad movie slump, because I'm a huge fan as well. Also, for some reason I always want to go see the bromantic movies, like I Love You, Man, even though I'm a girl...it must be Paul Rudd. Lets hope that it does well because it does look good, and lets pray for more money for Watchmen since it was a big risk taker. LLGM!

  • knowing is like the third movie where Nicholas cage can see the future.

  • It seems the inacurate marketing and the fanboy raves of Watchmen have realy hurt it's potential audiance!

Either that or there are alot of prudes cowering away from Dr.Manhattens thingimabob.

  • lol My friends would have loved to see that. :P Definitely a 'bromance' moment.

  • Hey man review the trailer to Soriety Row.

  • Your still the man keep it up.
