  • i have a 1100 watt boss monoblock amp that i have for my 12 inch kenwood sub. And i found some old 3-1/2 inch speakers and i put all 1100 watts into one of those little speakers and it was TOAST haha. It smelt really bad and the metal on the speaker started turning purple haha!

  • retard

  • @supersmasher97 you retard fuckingstupid kid!

  • At the time, I didn't have a working amplifier.

  • and wallsocket is more fun ;)

  • Essentially I have 3 resistors in a row with wires in between them to switches so I could bypass the resistors that you see on the wood in case the speaker was not getting enough power to blow.

  • lol you fried the amps resistor XD

  • oh that's no amplifier. That's just AC to resistors to speaker.

  • what kind of grand am a regular or a prix or? i have a 91 grand am and has delco in it im supprised they haven't blew already because i've got them hooked up to balance it out i've got two 12' xplods in the back but yeah send me a message

  • Okay... The Grand Am is a different car than the Grand Prix. The Grand Am upgrades are the SE and the GT. I have the SE. I replaced all of the speakers for crisper highs and better mids. I also have a subwoofer for the lows.

  • lame

  • hahaha i have that same speaker :P and no it wasnt hard to take out but why didnt you take the top off so we could see it

  • aww that was a nice speaker :-[

  • is that the rear 6x9 from your grand am? lol

was it a pain in the butt to take out???

cause i know i had a f*cking hard time taking mine out. damnet.

  • o hell yeh. I took out the seats, the side pannels, and a bunch of other crap. I still can't get the dam door panel off! What I had to do is open the bottom up enough to take the speakers out.
