  • jajajajaja

  • search sr388 by D.T.b that shyt bump!!

  • Back when Nintendo cared.

  • I love the song of this commercial. So epic.

  • EPIC

  • lol "SUUUPA METAWOID"

  • Yeah $85-$90, pretty expensive. In the US I had to pay like $75 or so. Final Fantasy 3, Mortal Kombat 2, Super SF 2 all were like that high. Even Final Fantasy 2 was $70 at most places after being out for like 3 year, eish. '94 sucked for SNES prices, but the games were awesome.

  • ... inconsistencies aside, it sure was better than the U.S. comercial

  • ...wow.

  • wow that was sooo good promo about the intro of super metroid :D

  • Back then games were even more expensive than they are now. My big brother was 14 when he got this game and games were like 80 bucks. He told me he saved up about 80 bucks for Super Street Fighter II!!

  • yeah, this cost us 9800 yen (about 100 bucks)

  • 0:19 nice butt samus...wait she's white in a jap copmmercial?......sweet!

  • this must have been in the "power rangers movie effects" era. O_o

  • +1

even nowadays metroid japanese ads sux like fucker rangers

BTW the suit isn't very mobile cuz 3D sucked back then

  • The "3D' that you refer to is actually a technique known as "Stop Motion". this was used in many different films ever since the 1902. Another example of this technique would be ED209 from Robocop. It's not a 3D render of any kind, it was a practical figure/puppet that was actually made in the real world.

  • thats suit doesn't look very mobile.

  • Samus is moving like Robocop LOL!!! 0:25

  • The number at the lower right of the video near the end where it says "SUPER METRIOD", thats the price. 9800 yen (or "en"). Which is roughly around $95, Japanese used to pay A LOT for thier games. Basically to help you, 1 yen is equal to an american cent.

  • nice job spelling japanese wrong

  • hahahaha

  • Supaaa matroido!!!

  • So Japanese lol, love the metroid in the case though.

  • This game is one of the best of all time. Well, at least to me.

  • Great commercial !

  • lol, this game fucking owned!

I still have it on snes :]

  • I've still got this game. Probably the best SNES game there was.

  • The statement is not limited to the SNES, I is one of the best games out there.... in my opinion....

  • wow.... that is AWESOME!!!

  • Kickass. ^__^

  • You have to love the Japanese commercial for games. They put more into them.

  • O_o wow!

    nice video

it makes me feel like playing it again

The metroid looked just like a poison mushroom

    or maybe a dirty cushion

    samus was sturdy xDDD

  • i liked the american version better.

  • samus looked like a robot..

  • damn, this makes me wanna play the game again..... too bad i don't have SNES anymore, i sued to play the hell out of super metroid. oh well, guess this ninja's gonna go pirate, to reexperience the nostalgia i always had....

  • That was RIDLEY!

  • I just wish there was an english version. XDDDD

  • In the beginning of this video they say that the Metroid is beatiful, then they says 2AHH!" and after that they say "Look at the roof!". Check out my videos please, Im new here

  • Haha! Old japanese game ads are fun :P
