Calvin Beisner tries to use Romans 8: 16 "The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God" to justify the people at Cornelius house were saved. What he does not realize is the Bible never says these people were saved at the point of receiving the Holy Ghost, because Peter had not completed his message. Peter's complete message included both water and Spirit the same as they had to receive on the day of Pentecost. The new birth came with both water and Spirit.

Dr. Martin is asking a trick question. At 4:34 though the people received the Holy Ghost they yet could not forbid water. To answer your question, people can have the Holy Ghost yet not have the complete new birth plan of salvation which consists of both water and Spirit (John 3: 5).. God can choose to give people the Holy Ghost first without having their sins remitted. If these people would have refused to be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ they would have been lost. PERIOD.

I am 100% sure that the baptizm in the name of Jesus is 100% biblical and was practiced as it is by the apostles. The triune formula speaked in Mat 28:19 was never used in the Bible in practice wich leads to two conclusion:

1- Matt28:19 refers to Jesus name and the apostles knew it.

2-Matt28:19 is man made and the triune formula was added after the original writting thats why peter or Paul never used that formula.

but what may interest you is if you take it back to the hebrew, the first mention of God is Elohim.

In the beginning, Elohim created the heavens and the earth.

The significance of this word is that it is a plural, so right from the beginning there is this idea of pluralism.

He's not aggressive, he's totally sincere, and not combative at all. He does things in the correct manner.

That's how we should all debate, no matter what side your on. (although i am christian). He has so much knowledge as well, and has truly studied this, and likewise we should all study the scriptures, not just for knowledge but for application in our own life as well.

In John 3:3-5 it says that unless you are born again of water and spirit you will not inherit the kingdom of God. That is why all those people that spoke in other tongues got babtised. If you do not have the spirit and babtism you are not saved according to John 3.

Notice what he said about the unforgivable sin. He said that the unforgivable sin is to say Jesus is take a demon in him. So we know Jesus dont have a demon in him but the Holy Ghost. So wouldnt that take away from the trinity doctrine as being two distinct person.

People's brains can only concentrate on only ONE doctrine in order to agree with it, live it and "be" it. Each doctrine "requires" it. Go away from this doctrine, and you will go to hell, no matter what the other doctrine requires. You, have obviously done this, just like may other people have with other doctrines.

One cannot receive the holy ghost and "not" receive remission of sins. That's nonsense. The remission is tied to the reception of the Holy Ghost. Who on earth has received the Holy Ghost (thus being saved) and then not had their sins washed away (not saved)? Obvious contradiction.

OH no, John did not pave the way. God paved the way. John's baptism was not essential to anyone's salvation. It was a symbol OF their salvation. In fact John's disciples were later baptized by JESUS disciples.

To have the same experience as the apostles one would have to obey what they preached. Remember Jesus gave Peter the keys to the kingdom. Here again the house of Cornelius obeyed what Peter preached on the day of Pentecost.
