  • Almost believed it. lol

  • Everything about this is a joke. It must be. The parents at the end sealed the deal for me, this must be a joke. This report crosses so many boundaries, including blatant disregard for nature vs. nurture, individual choice, and genetics in general. I'm no biologist, but I know that a single gene does not determine something as complex as one's belief structure. Genes work in combinations. No way this is serious.

  • I fucking want this to happen

  • I'm quite confused whether this was satirical or not, especially on what the parents said on 0:59 , that was just too funny to be real lol

  • I'm a Christian, but man this is one of the funniest things ever. XD

  • Trolololol...

  • I'm calling CNNNN to report you for copyright infringement!

  • what does the scientists being gay have to do with anything? o_O

  • @xTheEmilyx its funny?

  • @xTheEmilyx referencing the idea of "the gay gene" that was present in popular culture for a while.

  • i posted this on my facebook and totally pissed off some of my friends and family lol.

  • This is the dumbest thing i ever seen. They just been hurt by the church and want everyone to steer away from God. How sad. this got to be fake.

  • @sika1414 'this got to be fake.' Nope, God works in very mysterious ways, and now we may see into the workings of the mind of Gods dna.

  • awesome!!! only if this was real!!! the world would be a safer place...

  • Good thing I read the comments. I thought this was serious for a moment. I knew it was fake, it is indeed a lifestyle choice.. it's neurological, not genetic. It would be nice if it were genetic.. first one that needs to be eradicated from all humans.

  • FUCKING COOL

We need of lot of geneticists in Portugal to remove the the christian gene or the dumb fuck gene as dumbo2021 calls it.

  • Europe has its own Onion news network? awesome

  • @deathman1021 ITS AUSTRALIA NOT EUROPE!

  • Gay Gene Isolated, Ostracized

    The Onion News

    April 22, 1998

BALTIMORE—On Monday, scientists at Johns Hopkins University isolated the gene which causes homosexuality in human males and promptly segregated it from normal, heterosexual genes.

"I had suspected that that gene was queer for a long time now. There was just something not quite right about it," said team leader Dr. Norbert Reynolds. "It's a good thing we isolated it.

  • Reverse it and you still get stupid people defending their opinion.

  • this just sounds rediculous it seems like ya took a few scientific shots of probably another subject and added your own twist lol

  • @PastorPeewee you realise that this video is satire right?

  • that's the stupidest thing i've ever heard

  • @rabusse It's satirical.

  • I knew religion was a genetic disorder

  • Lol at first I was like wtf but now I get lol =P cool

  • awesome....very clever : )

  • Just Switch the words gays and christians and you'll see what they are getting at.... by the way its from a comedy show......

  • I read through all these comments and wonder why people don't realize it's from The Onion.

  • I wish I was as smart as a gay christian

  • This is total crap, next they will be looking for an atheist gene, Religion is bought about by brainwashing the individual, easily done as religious people do not have the ability of free thought, generally indicating a low level of intelligence.

  • @timdnwd its not brainwashing and not a low level of intelligence was a jew u calling him dumb may i remind u that the only difference between Christianity and Jewish is the belief that the messiah has come Albert Einstein what you just said shows the lack of tolerance that the atheist community has against believers if you are a normal and not a radicalist person same goes with Christians normal Christians tolerate others and except others and except ideas such as evolution and global warming

  • @dumbo2021 Comment of the year!

  • @dumbo2021 so im a dumb fuck, i bet im also a thug because i listen to rap and a fat ass nerd cause i like gaming u douche bag so r u evil cause u dont believe in god probably not, am i dumb cause i believe in god probably not

  • @st8lion You are dumb because you believe in talking snakes, flat earth, etc. It's not a preference like gaming or rap, you devoted your life to a fairy tale. therefore, you're a dumb fuck.

  • @dumbo2021 i do not believe in a talking earthbound snake and where in the bible does it say the earth is flat sir u obviously have a low tolerance towards those whom do not agree with you it is not a fairy tale if it is all a lie then it still wouldn't be a fairy tale i believe that god and heaven is truly what exists and its highly ironic that calling someone else dumb through the internet when your you tube account is dumbo but why do you choose to shit all over someone else's beliefs hmmmmm

  • @st8lion By saying you do not believe in things mentioned in the bible, you're admitting your hypocrisy. I don't have time to teach you about your religion, so do me a favor and do some research. After you're done reading the bible AND using your brain at the same time, look up the definition of a fairy tale, compare it to the bible, then you'll know what I mean.

P.S: Using my username as an element of debate is purely pathetic, so I'm not even gonna comment on that.

  • @dumbo2021 where in the bible does it say a snake on earth talked and if you are speaking about the "snake talking to Jesus it was satin using the pure image of a snake the snake that talked to eve was for one not on earth and two was pure temptation incarnated into the symbol of the snake what i said was not hypocrisy and it would be blindly and foolish if you believed every thing put into the bible because it is published by different people

  • @dumbo2021 i highly doubt that u have read the bible because of you being a atheist i presume and a hater i can plainly see i know a hell of a lot about my reliogion because i 1. whent to reliogios education 2. became confirmed into my church and 3. go to church regularly it may be hard to get proof that god exists but its also hard to get proof that he doesnt plus if people are believeing that he does exsist in some way shape or form when you die i hope you go to purgatory and are judged by

  • @dumbo2021 your actions alive and sent to the appropriate place whether it be heaven or hell decides on if you lived a life of good or a life of just doing selfish things in your life and i sincerely hope you stop drinking hater-aid and finally why do u see fit to shit on someone elses beliefs im not shiting on your belifes no im a reasonable man and if you can tell me a reason why it is such a bad thing being a christian same as all other people i dont go around trying to convert people no that

  • @dumbo2021 is what Jehovah witnesses do only reason im talking to u is that you say that im a dumb fuck my grandparents are dumb fucks my mother and multiple friends and family members are all stupid and that is hating that is prejudiced and intolerant but yeah u called my grand father a dumb fuck he served in Vietnam, and desert storm, went to work for GMC, founded the towns volunteer fire department then spent his last years on earth helping out mentally handicapped children with his wife

  • @dumbo2021 all while being a devote catholic sounds pretty unintelligent and cant think for himself well is my deceased grandfather a fool along with my whole family and more than half my friends u sir are starting to sound like a fox news reporter but atheist because every one that doesn't agree with you are wrong brain washed dumb they should believe in what you believe in and just trying to hate

  • @st8lion Do you realize that you're using the fallacy of appeal to majority? Just because the majority that surrounds you believes in something doesn't make it true. I used to be catholic, then I refused to be one just because I was born catholic. So I did some research about all the other religions, came to the conclusion that they're all wrong. I don't hate you, I used to be like you, I just pity you. I'm not hating just because you disagree with me, it's because you disagree with reality.

  • @dumbo2021 im sayin you r a hater because u say everyone that believes in it are dumb fucks

  • @st8lion What else do you expect me to call an adult who believes in fairy tales?

  • The Chaser! I love these guys :)

  • Gay liberals....

  • i personally laughed my ass off. not only is it funny but may actually be true. the main difference in atheist and christian minds the psychology not genetics. for example if both were even the option to see how they die, the christian would jump at the thought while the walks away because they chose not to know. christian love the of knowing, atheist however don't give a fuck. Thank god i'm an Atheist.

  • ha.......

  • Can existanialist's cure the cause of the "Human condition"?

  • Can us Christian's Isolate the homosexual gene & remove it from homosexual's?

  • @Researcher46 Dude, this is a bloody joke. Why are you so up in arms over this. Do you not have a sense of humor? This is a great time to be alive. With the freedom to believe as one wishes, the freedom to say what one will, and the technology, how can this be bad? And most of the perverted, sick, disgusting, things that happen in this world are caused by Christians. Just a word for thought. Oh, and if you did live in the Dark Ages, and were a recluse, you'd be considered a witch.

  • it's good to hear that my friend Jack can maybe be cured of being Christian

  • If you read what tells on this website: tearstojoyministries "dot" org/What_Are_BIBLE_Numerics_.html

you will see that there is only one book that is inspired by God, and all other beliefs are false. Read, and you will find out. The 66 books in the bible are the only ones that are inspired by God, as God has set an amazing mathematic/numeric mark in these books through those who wrote them. The divine math in the bible proves, beyond doubt, that Jesus is the only salvation for mankind.

  • @chanses2 If I take a scroll from the first century C.E. and say it was the word of god for hundreds of years, and kill anyone who disagrees with me, then it becomes the word of god. Hmmm, that sounds familiar. Oh, right. That's what the Christians did. Stop spouting shit that only people who have the same view of you care for. Let us believe what we will, without harming anyone else, and and we'll let you go on believing what you believe in

  • @HimesInu Who killed who? Honestly, and with care for fairness: Those who called themselves christians and killed people were anything but that. And your knowledge is very poor, it seems. Why don't you go to school and learn a little before you write?

Anyone can tell whatever he wants and still be ignorant. But you go on thinking whatever you like about that of which you have very poor knowledge. All the best to you.

  • @chanses2 Really? So those Christians who killed Muslims during the Crusades, the Spanish Inquisition, the people of Salem during the Witch trials, none of them were Christians? Right. But what I said is no less true. Christians have a book that, because it's been around for thousands of years they can claim it to be true. And you're right, anyone can say whatever he wants and still be ignorant. But I actually know what I'm talking about. i was the kid in school who paid attention in history.

  • @HimesInu Ah, your knowledge does you credit. I think there's misunderstanding, and please excuse me. Yes, the Crusaders did that, and all you tell. Looking back, when the first followers of Christ were active, they renounced from any kind of violence, instead became victims of persecution, not because of martyrdom thogh, but because they really were genuinely convinced, and because doing what Jesus had told them, bring the gospel of peace and redemption. Later though, as the ... cont ..

  • @HimesInu 2.. when the men who saw they could benefit from slaving people under the faith, by aiming certain chosen words that they picked out of context, and mixing the old testament with the new, and so forth, the later invented Catholic Church, one of many other false teachings that sprung up like they had done even when Paul was active, not long after the apostles went out and preached that Jesus had risen from death. .. Cont ..

  • @HimesInu 3. The old greek texts survived persecution and every attempt to burn them, but the church that was non-violence, since, according to the gospel, murderers and wiked won't inherit the kingdom of God, only those who relinquish their old life and follow the way that Jesus showed, love and understanding will come to God. The corrupted church, as the Catholic is, has done much damage. (Even the pope was invented after 600 AD = pericope.org/buls-notes/matthew/matthew_16_13_20.htm)

  • @HimesInu There much to bring out in the light, as the Spanish Inquisition, how can people be so cruel, well, you have your answer, and I have mine. To rule the ignorant people and keep the truth from them is what has been done long time, even by those who called themselves Christians, yet they will be losing out on heaven for good, (if one believe in the gospel that is). However, if you dismiss this knowled on the divine math in the bible, you will never know for sure, but that's your choise.

  • @chanses2 It doesn't change the fact that Christianity, whether it's people misinterpreting it or not, is still responsible for the death of millions of people. I'm sure it's only because people misuse the Bible, therefore corrupting it, but I still refuse to follow something like that.

  • @HimesInu That's so true, so called Christians have killed millions of people. It would be unfair to write that Atheists (as a faith in evolution) have killed likewise, and none is the wiser or better. All are like the filth of the earth, and there's very few true Christians left. Anyone can call himself Christian, but his intentions may be bad. If Jesus said many false will come in my name long before they do, that's something I would consider. Well, it's probably best to end this here. Peace.

  • @chanses2 I would like to end this here, however, I disagree with you on two points. Firsts, Atheists don't have "faith" in anything. Atheists go off on the evidence, and the evidence is in favor of evolution. Second, anybody who claims to be Christian, who reads the Bible, who follows the teachings, no matter what else they do, is Christian. It doesn't matter if his intentions are bad. Stop disassociating. Say, "Yes, he did wrong, but that's not a statement on us all."

  • @HimesInu Excuse, so I did use the wrong word here. It shoud read: "Atheists believe in evolution". The words "Believe" and "faith" have different meanings. TO believe is "being sure that something is true", but it can also mean "a religious faith". "Believe in" means having faith in the truth or existence of... So we pull everyone under the same category, and lable them, that's the easy road of understanding, but you'll miss out all the various variations. You dismiss the evidence of God though

  • @chanses2 What is the evidence of God? Please, i beg of you, do not quote scripture, and if I can find a natural explanation for it, don't say that I'm dismissing it. I am merely giving an alternative or what science has found to be true.

And I'm not an atheist. I just happen to find that science explains more.

  • Comment removed

  • @chanses2 I think I should have made myself more clear. Don't use the Bible in anything you are trying to use to prove creation or the Bible.

  • @HimesInu I've left suggestions on a webpage where you can find other books that tell/describe of what evidence there is.

  • @chanses2 And I looked at the website. The only "evidence" I saw was the Bible. And I looked for your Numeric book. Again, they don't say anything about it. Just that you can get it. And I was disappointed because they try to bend the facts to fit their conclusion instead of their conclusion changing to the facts.

  • @HimesInu I suggest you to read what is researched on a subject that has a mathematic construction, which anyone can understand and investigate. I think that science has advanced explanations, too, as quantum physics et cetera. I don't dismiss any of it, instead I embrace it.

Anyhow, here is one of the webpages that describe the reasearch on that evidence...

tearstojoyministries (dot) org, then go down and click on "Did God really...", then go down and click on "mathematical numeric..."

  • @chanses2 I did, and they actually won't let you read anything. They just explain why they protected the book with copywrite and that's it. The reason why science proves god is because the scientist had that conclusion before the evidence and made the evidence fit the conclusion.

So please, using facts and evidence outside of the Bible, tell me how God exists. You do this, and I will tell you how I believe my god exists.

  • @HimesInu Ah, you haven't read the mathematic numerics yet. Well, besides that, there are all the other things like healing and so forth, and quantum physics, and my own experience, which might have very little substancial weight. What is that copywrite thing you wrote about, that's not what I meant with my suggestion of the books that describe the mathematic numerics.

  • @chanses2 Well, that's what it brought me to when I clicked on the link. What healing? Most of the healing videos can be written off as people who think they have something wrong with them, and believe their pastor or whatever can heal them, and they make a show out of being healed. They believe they are being healed, when, in reality, nothing was wrong with them. And personal experiences mean nothing in science since they can't be verified or recreated. My god is one and my god is all.

  • @HimesInu Your extensive investigation amazes me, and you managed to read a book without any prejudgement or being clothed by prejudice, you have it your way, you are your own god, good for you, bottled up and biased, good at closing eyes and turning back to any unwanted thing. I have met so many of so various ways to dismiss, and you are yet another who I leave be. We are all conditioned in some ways to react and think in all our narrow-minded ways. I've been there, it's nothing new about it.

  • @chanses2 I was going to quote something about splinters in eyes, but I think I'd rather just call you a hypocrite. You're the closedminded and prejudiced one here.

I mean, you call in the bible as an argument, without even bothering to argue why it's an authority. How would you feel if I quoted pages of my organiser as 'proof'? You'd feel like I'm taking a piss at you, and I would be. Then why are you doing the same thing by calling on the bible?

  • @Blahb27 Your words have no foundation, becase you know nothing of that which I tell. Why compare this with an organiser? Don't you know you have to prove a thesis before you claim it's science fact. And the Bible is an authority on the spiritual level, since we all are eternal, there's enough proof that there is life after death. Victor Zammit presents in sin bok, A LAWYER PRESENTS THE CASE FOR THE AFTERLIFE, 23 different areas with evidence, See victorzammit (dot) com. Closeminded open eyes.

  • @chanses2 BBC: PAM SEES GOD. NDE Pam Reynolds. Amazing! 2 part

Now, what doctors tell in this example, where the brain is dead to recording any memory, you must consider

  • @Blahb27 Watch this video BBC: PAM SEES GOD. NDE Pam Reynolds. Amazing! Full version!

  • @HimesInu You throw away words and construct your own world, as we all do. Perhaps you open up later in life, or perhaps not. Whatever you might construct as your world, with whatever there is to be taken as granted and whatever is convinient, nobody is perfect, if we were, we all would be without war and prejudice. I give credit to your sense of conviction, but I'm inclined to believe what other proof I've found out. Better end this now, please.

  • @HimesInu Your God, what do you mean by telling how you believe ....?

  • @chanses2 That's how atheists, and people who don't agree with Christians, feel when you bring up the Bible. It makes no sense. And sorry about my last post, wasn't sure if you caught the God thing.

  • @HimesInu BBC: PAM SEES GOD. NDE Pam Reynolds. Amazing! 2 part

Now, what doctors tell in this example, where the brain is dead to recording any memory, you must consider

  • @chanses2 If the brain were dead, and there was no energy, then none of this could have happen. But I have gone to an area that has an intelligent haunt, spirit/energy can answer questions verbally or physically, so this would mean we can still, in some instances, remember things after we die. This is what could have happened. The reason they saw God is because they wanted to. They wanted the Biblical God to be real.

  • @HimesInu Well, it seems you haven't listened to the video/videos throughout, and that really dissapoints me, since I thought we are on the level with each other. I meself have dealt with the things you speak of, and believed as you do. My logic pulls me in the scientific direction, actually, but all things considered what I've experienced and studied on both sides - science and evidence, and the spiritual realm, -- I know things that most don't, things that I only wish you knew. That's that.

  • @chanses2 Look, when it comes to the world of spirits, two people can see the same evidence and come up with two explanations. That's what is happening here. I'm not sure if you're Christian or Jewish, or Muslim, the three main religions that believe in angels, but you seem to want these entities to be angelic and proof of god. I, as neither of the three, just see these entities as proof that spirits exist and wander the Earth.

  • @HimesInu The fact that the person, while being drained of blood in her brain, did hear exactly one a nurse said, word by word, and see what kind of tool they used to drill into her brain, that accounts for the supernatural. The brain cannot record anything in the nerv-patterns while the blood is drained from her brain. So, the fact remains, she did hear what the nurse said, and she saw from outside her body looking down. What about the angels that several nurses saw in a hospital? Another video

  • @chanses2 Again, this is where I believe spirits do exist and some are intelligent, i.e. remember things without having what we would call a brain. It doesn't matter whether the blood is circulating or not, an intelligent spirit will understand and hold onto things, i.e. have memories of their life and being dead. The angels, again, come as what people want to see.

  • @HimesInu So, if the angels, beings of light, were recorded by the surveilance camera, and doctors and nurses saw the two angels, as they walked in to a room where a child were dying, and healed her instantaneously, before they left, would that not be evidence, since there were several witnesses? Even in court several witnesses count as evidence, and if you would challange their testimony, there is the surveilance camera. There is a video on Youtube on this.

There are more things to this life.

  • @chanses2 I never said there wasn't more to this life. I just said I support the existence of spirits. What people see on surveillance cameras, or pictures, goes back to what they want to see. If they want to see an angel, and tell someone that an angel entered the room, that person will also see an angel. If someone see a ghost, and tells someone they saw a ghost, that person will see a ghost. Not sure about the healing. Power of the mind comes into thought, if the child saw this entity, also.

  • @HimesInu You can also look at "biblenumerics (dot) com", and there are suggestion of books to read on that subject. If you make effort, I promise you won't be dissapointed.

I hope you reply if you begin learnig about it.

  • @HimesInu Watch this video

NBC News: Dr Morse Has Done More To Prove Life After Death

  • @chanses2 This would have been fine, had they stayed on Dr. Morse. But I wonder what an atheist would see. The closest to a near death experience I can come up with is sleep paralysis, in which you are conscious but unable to move. Religious people say they see angels or Jesus while atheist claim to aliens. This is due to what we believe in. Also, I know this was a news program, but I wish they would have kept religion out of it, i.e. the prayers to get you to this point. I need more information

  • @chanses2 Another possibility is that, instead of going to heaven or hell or the like, our energy is separated from our body and, occasionally, retain memories of life. This would certainly coincide with the Law of Conversation.

  • @HimesInu Watch this video BBC: PAM SEES GOD. NDE Pam Reynolds. Amazing! Full version!

  • @chanses2I'm going to change my wording around a bit. Someone who wants to see God, will see God. Someone who doesn't know what they see will see aliens. This works for both NDE and SP. We really won't know until we die.

  • @chanses2 Besides, this is conjecture more than evidence. It cannot be retested as it cannot be controlled.

  • @HimesInu Your way of approaching this is, as you said, fixed upon both the thought you have about spirits, whatever kind of spirits you mean, I don't know, but they have to be created, or do you think they just are a product of evolution, which is absurd in the evolutiounal concept. And, as I gather, you rely upon the psychological concept that tells us (and rightly so) that our brain cannot seperate fantasy from reality, it's what we are taught to believe as real and not real that... continues

  • @HimesInu What we are taught as real and not real "controls" our way of thinking and what we can notice, feel, react to, believe, and changes our way of perception. We might, at some point in life, by some reason, start to question what we have been conditioned into, this thought-pattern we have, perhaps because we suddenly notice that it's poorly founded, especially on the depth, as one wonders why people believe in spirits and doesn't even question what their origin is... cont..

  • @HimesInu If we have based our belief upon something solid that turns out not solid, then we have wasted time on a poor thing, and we are pitiful, but if there is solid evidence of scientific nature that has been tested over and over again, like the mathematic numerology in the bible, then one must take that as solid evidence, since the construction of math cannot be challanged, 1 and 1 is 2, if someone tells me otherwise, his mind is severely challanged, or sick. There are books on this math.

  • @chanses2 Numerology, like astrology, is a load of shit. I'm sure you can find numerology in the Harry Potter books, or any book for that matter. Just because it's in a religious book doesn't mean it's real. It's real to the people who want it to be real.

  • @HimesInu One of the most important discoveries is that you can add the Greek numbers (the Greek letter were used as numbers) in one chapter or just pick out a sentence of that context where there's a specific topic told, and the total sum will always be dividable with the numeric symbol that represents the topic. This works through the whole Bible, the 66 books, and no other book except these. This kind of mathematic structure is not possible for man to create. No other book has this.

  • @chanses2 "Numerology is any study of the purported mystical relationship between a count or measurement and life." The Bible has how many hundreds of pages in it? I would be more surprised if it didn't have any numerology in it. Put together the seven Harry Potter books and I'm sure you can find the same shit.

  • @HimesInu The conjecture is nulled when evidence is brought up in court, as eyewitnesses that are impartial, and when the object is presented with fingerprints of the convicted. If one would say that this isn't enough, that this is conjecture because we think this is a knife, that the fingerprints are there because we believe them to be there, and therfore imagine them as real, and the eyewitnesses saw what they were convinced to see, then he would really be bonkers. cont...

  • @HimesInu If our energy leaves our bodies, does it have ears, or any means of perseption, what proof can one bring of spirits or energy after life? Is the energy that leaves our bodies something that has our memories intact, that would be absurd in the light of science. Well, for your information, the mathemathic numerology in the bible is not like any kind of numerology that you can imagine or create, and you don't even bother to investigate it. - I said, there are scientific proof of this.

  • @chanses2 Energy doesn't have to have a specific form. Does the air have a specific form? What proof do you have for heaven? And for spirits to have memories really isn't that absurd. Our brains work on chemical and electrical messages. Spirits could use the electrical energy in the air, or any energy for that matter, to retain and even gain memories. Numerology is real IF YOU BELIEVE IT TO BE REAL. The science really is not there since numerology isn't a science.

  • @HimesInu So, the concept of believing is subjected to flaws, as you have your own belief, also unsubstantial in the light of science. Again, the numerology is not like you think, its mathematic construction, and you cannot reply yet on this, because you haven't investigated it, you just assume things without looking in to it. One cannot take kind of attitude serious. This is like writing to someone who won't look when asked to look. These spirits you speak of, what makes them work? Electricity?

  • @chanses2 I have my beliefs, but none of them are based on shit like numerology, astrology, or any other ology that says it's a science when it's not. And no one in their right mind can take numerology serious. The spirits use energy, period. Electric, heat, whatever is available.

  • @HimesInu What makes the spirits tick? What kind of scientific proof do you have on your belif? What has atoms and particles to do with memories, is this energy you tell me electric, then what holds this energy together? protons and neutrons and atoms just don't mingle by accident, there has to be a conscious being behind that controls the protons, neutrons et cetera.

Your belief has no strong foundation. There is a creator that is everywhere. It's a conscious being, like we are, but greater.

  • @chanses2 Try the Law of Conservation. And before you start going on tangents about science, actually read science books and talk to scientists. And the Bible and "Creation" scientists don't count.

  • @HimesInu One cannot just take things as real if one doesn't investigate. One cannot just believe in somthing without proof. The math in the Bible is scientifically proved, it's the way one adds numbers, and then you have a total sum that can be divided by a symbolic number that represents the topic of a whole chapter, or any sentence in that chapter. That's math, and not simply numerology, it's mathematic numerology, can't you read?

  • @chanses2 Okay, I'm going to say this one last time. Numerology is just as fake as astrology. Just because the math seems to work doesn't mean it's real. You are seeing things that you want to see but mean nothing. It's a generalization and could mean anything. That's how this shit works. A person gives a generalization that sounds possible and that makes people believe it. If I say "You will come into money" and you come into money, does that mean I'm a psychic? Of course not. I got lucky.

  • @HimesInu Well, bless you in your ignorance, I could say, but I won't. You dismiss things with words that give you a pose and an air of haughtiness, or whatever, your words are words, like any other words, they prove nothing, because they are fabricated in your mind, as you generalize things from you own perspective, and narrowminded as we all are in our own ways, you gain nothing as your way of reasoning is absolute, that's a criminal mind in my view, but I might be wrong thinking you are.

  • @chanses2 You're right; words are words. Now spin that around. How did "God" supposedly "create" everything? By words. And using your logic, that isn't possible, since words prove nothing.

  • @HimesInu We reach nowhere with the closeminde. SO WE END THIS HERE AND NOW. Now, how many think you are unreasonable? This is one thinking that, and I end it here, till you have recovered from your closemindedness, or whatever you believe it is. Don't bother reply on this, we gain nothing with closminded people, they are happy in their own bubble, till it bursts. Generalization... some people just don't take things for granted, but you seem to do.

  • @chanses2 Never say someone takes things for granted when you don't know what they do. How would a soldier take things for granted? Answer me that.

  • @HimesInu Soldiers kill people. I refused and was questioned by the military why I wouldn't carry weapon. Anyone who kills or is ready to kill is ignorant of the impact and the consequeses it bring, the everlasting consequenses. To kill is in my own view absolutely hideous and cruel. The world is steeped in war, and many are conditoned into the way of war, because they dance after the warlords' pipes. Any reason to kill is wrong, life is sacred and we are all one blood, brothers and sisters....

  • @HimesInu Soldiers are blind to the evil they carry in their hands; the weapons of death and grief and terror. Inhuman is the leader who sends humans fighting humans, brother killing brothers. The mere idea that one should kill to defend or attack is against all that is good and true. I you think carrying weapon is right then you are truely conditioned into taking life for granted. Life is worth more than you know. I wouldn't hate anyone who kills me, I would forgive him...

  • @chanses2 So, you are telling me that if you or yours were attacked for holding beliefs that deffer from someone else, you would let you or yours die? Really?

  • @HimesInu Your questions disclose your level of insight. I cannot help you understand what you aren't capable of understanding, yet. You are confined and tied up by values that hinders you to grow the rightful way. Wisdom is not in your vocabulary, only what the greedy and power-hungry have tied you up with exists in your mind. Peace is a word you don't understand to its full extent. Hate begets hate, war begets war. You cannot build peace with weapons and blood. Leaders want you ignorant.

  • @HimesInu Even if I would answer you, you would not understand the reason to my actions. To even ask if I would defend is absurd, since I would never ever even carry a weapon of any kind. To carry death in one's hands is a violation against life itself. The concept of Peace is nowhere near minds who think of killing, defending, attacking, hurting. Cruel is the heart of man, vile, not to be trusted. Blood can't justify peace. Blood can't justify defending. Peace process is the way.

  • @chanses2 You know, you taking this moral high road only makes you sound pompous. You're right, peace isn't on our minds because we're too busy fighting for freedom and democracy. If peace comes as a result, good. If not, then we're still will to fight because there are things worth fighting for.

  • @HimesInu What good will it do me if I love those who love me? Love those who hate you. Hate destroys you from the inside, its energy is draning life out of you, and make you sick in thoughts, cruel and hurtful. Feelings of being wronged is of childish nature, and the world keeps itself in the level of childish nature, me, me, me, trust your heart. What heart can you trust when most people are easily wronged, and get angry, even hateful? The wise loves and forgives.

  • @chanses2 We don't fight because we feel we were wronged, and to say so is to miss the point of the US military. And it sure as hell isn't about us. It's about those who can't fight for themselves. We fight because we know that not everyone can. And for you to out right refuse to fight for your beliefs is to dishonor those who fought to protect your beliefs.

  • @HimesInu Whatever belief someone have, they should be forgiven when doing wrong. Love your enemy. What good will it do you if you only love your kind neighbour? Selfishness is what the leaders want, the commercial powers as well. Withough selfishness they don't have the power. The society is in some ways paranoid, corrupted, selfish, greedy, envious, unfair, filled with anxiety, weapons, drugs, domestic violece et cetera... It feeds upon violence, from tv, movies, degrading the human value.

  • @HimesInu Life is precious, and hate is of ignorance, unaware of what life really is. Killing in any kind of disguise: whether it be to defend or save others by shooting the murderer. This world is steeped in hatred, ignorance and absurd values. Conditioned into the ways of insanity, soldiers kill their brother whenever their leader tell them to fight a tyrant. War is insanity. Blind are those who believe in killing other people for whatever reason, conditioned are they from childhood.

  • @chanses2 I, personally, hate violence. I hate people harming other people. But to protect the ideals that I hold precious, to protect the ones I love, I will kill because if I don't who will? If we lay down our weapons and let someone else who would take our freedom, who would kill because they don't believe they do, we would be killed for our passiveness. It is better to die for our beliefs than to live a lie.

  • @HimesInu What freedom is won with weapons of death? To forgive is not passive, it is the way to peace. To live a lie is to kill your brother. If you really hate violence, you would not even carry and sort of weapon. TO PROTECT IS TO START A PEACE PROCESS. I would rather die than kill my brother. We are all one nation, one people. The warlords wants you to think we are divided, but there are only traditions, culture and beliefs that colour life. If we teach peace, others will follow.

  • @HimesInu Weapons are made by those who would not hesitate to kill you if you challange or question their power. Protect is another word in wartime that means to kill, to murder a human being. The statement "It is better to die for our beliefs than to live a lie." is founded upon that we do not defend ourselves. Believe in true peace, and forgive the one who kills you, then you have not lived a lie. TO LIVE A LIE IS TO MURDER YOU SISTERS AND BROTHERS. PROTECT THEM INSTEAD.

  • @chanses2 Oh yeah, because murder isn't rampant in the Old Testament. I don't know if you've been told the same thing over and over again, or are just too blind on your "holier than thou" attitude to see that, but it's true. And yes, if it means to kill a person to protect a country, then I'm willing. It is better to kill one than lose a thousand. WWII proved that.

  • @HimesInu There you are, willing to murder your brothers. The old testament is the old one. Jesus came with the new of how to live. Jesus let them be cruel to him, never did he once lift a finger of anger or a word of hatred. WWII was inevitable, like so many other wars and disasters, of which all have already been predicted. In the last days, nations will rise against Israel, Russia and Irak will conspire and attack Israel. The hate against Israel is huge, and the inevitable will happen.

  • @chanses2 And you want to know something? If it weren't for religions, there would be fewer wars. The Jews wouldn't be hunted. There would have been no Holocaust. There would have been no Crusades. No Burning Times. The Twin Towers would possibly still be standing. I'm not saying all war or violence would be eradicated, but there would be less. And it is spelled I-R-A-Q.

  • @HimesInu What you wrote shows you have no clue of what is predicted over two thousand years back. Jesus said nation will rise against nation, and brother against brother. The prophesies are so distinct and exact that you cannot misunderstand. Israel is the target of the last war, when the end of all wars will come, as Jesus returns. Whatever you tell as a dismiss of this is futile. Why you cannot change inside is because you cannot see beyond your own thoughts.

  • @chanses2 "Nation will rise against nation, brother against brother." That is so vague. This could have been in reference to ANY war, pre or post Christianity. Also, the "brother against brother," how many civil wars have been fought in the history of man? Hundreds. The American, the French, The Bolshevik, the Korean War, the Viet Nam War, and that's just in the last one hundred and fifty years. Israel has been in a state of conflict since its inception, so that doesn't mean much either.

  • @chanses2 Perhaps you are the one who is closed minded. Perhaps you are the one who puts too much on one thing.

  • @HimesInu Murder is the way of this world, it opposes life, it is insanity cloaked by words of protect, peace, defend, et cetera. I am no better than you in my heart. I can't rely on my heart, it's wicked in nature. I am no holier than you, but my choices are different, because I know that people are not aware of the whole picture, what force lies behind life, what life is. You go on thinking the way you think. There will not be many who choses the way of peace in Jesus - not many are choosen.

  • @chanses2 Here's something for you to do. Study history, study all of history, without a religious mind set. Read other religious text, without bias. Then, and only then, make your choice of what you wish to believe. Until then, your choices are made for you. And that's not freedom. That's following something blindly. What if you are wrong? What if, for two thousand years, Christians have been misled. What if Jesus isn't the son of God? What then?

  • @HimesInu Jesus is the Redeemer of mankind, but he will be looked upon as a ridicule by many. Nothing has changed, and not will you, probably. Or will you ever. Stubborn is the word I can use, but I will not. I am not stubborn i a kind of holy manner, because I am like anyone else: subjected to shortcommings and whims et cetera. But I have never murdered anyone. From my mouth hurtful words might emerge, but I'm moving towards a better self, because that's the whole point. Peace inside.

  • @HimesInu I don't belong to any church, since most established are astray. You probably have a image that those who believe have an air of haughtiness in their self-righteousness, that's true in some cases, where ignorance dwell. You cannot change the world, you can only change what's inside of yourself, if you are diligent and devoted with all your heart. There's were most fail though. And that's why God redeems us. That's something one must not take for granted. Grace is free, but none cares.

  • @chanses2 You want to know the best way to live? Live for what you can see. Do what you see is right. If there is a God, don't worry about it since there is nothing we can do about it. If you live for what you believe is right, without outside sources, this includes the Bible since it was written by others, then you should, if you believe there is a heaven, go to heaven. This goes for everyone. And please stop trying to convert people. After a certain age, most people won't change their beliefs.

  • @HimesInu The last statement isn't always true. You've missed out on something. To convert is the best way to be a believer, and if someone ridicules me or hurts me in the process, I forgive him, that's you in this case. So far you have not written any hurtful thing, which some others have. It's not me they hurt. When Paul perscuted Christians, Jesus appeared and told Paul it is Him he persecutes. Can you see the picture? A Christian is nothing in himself, the redeemer is life everlasting.

  • @chanses2 I'm sorry, but most "Born Agains" are the craziest. Not saying you are. But, in general, these people are even worse than some fundamentalist Muslims. And why believe you are nothing without a "redeemer"? It seems self demeaning.

  • @chanses2 And I disagree with you on "Grace is free." Christian grace is not free. You must give up your freedoms to what ends up being a king. The United States fought a war to be free of one king. Why should I waste the sacrifices to make myself subservient to another king; this one we can't see?

  • @HimesInu What kind of freedom is this short life worth, freedom in peace won by killing your brothers? This world is soon to end, once and for all, and a new will enter in its place. What freedom have you won in the afterlife? What do you gain by fighting over something that won't last. When we pass over to the afterlife, we will know for sure what freedom really means. Fighting for freedom... murdering brothers and sisters in the name of freedom... Frightening is the very thought.

  • @chanses2 I live with the assumption there is no afterlife, so I live for this life and only this life. I don't deal with what ifs when it comes to my life. And if I didn't kill for freedom, I'd be killed myself. Then who's going to protect the ones I love?

  • @HimesInu Mankind hope for peace, love and understanding, but they do not know the true way. Buddists do it their way and so on. Muhammed copied and mingled what knowledge he got from the Jews and the Christians with his own ideas, and killed those who opposed him/his ideas. His God asks for total submission and obidience, and there's no redemption like the God of Jesus. I was as you, firm in my scientific reasoning. I'm still not good enough, but I'm redeemed by grace, that's why I make effort.

  • @chanses2 And your God doesn't ask for total subservience? I'm sorry. Call me prideful, call me whatever. But I refuse to bow down and take orders from something I can't see. All paths go to paradise. Even if the divert to different directions.

  • @HimesInu You believe that. It's your way, whatever it takes you. Total subservience is not in my vocabulary as a Christian. I don't bow down and take orders. The way of true faith is through love and understanding, not obidience as under fear. Jesus wants me to do things out of love, any other reason is untrue and false. For so God loved mankind that he sent his only begotten son. To be willing to undergo torture because of us is of pure love. Freedom is in Him who showed me love, God's love.

  • @chanses2 I know I'm generalizing, and going off of what was told to me, but when I say subservient, I'm referring to the fact that Christians fear going to Hell. Living with fear is not living freely.

  • @HimesInu And God's love is unconditional. It is free to receive, it is free to live the way you live, but it is better to strive for eternity than the things that won't last. When you pass on, you will know better, so wait if you want. Perhaps there's nothing one can call free will. What if we all just vanish, then just carry on, believe what you want. 1982 God appeard spiritually before me as I walked to a shop, and from then I know what he really is, anything than what anyone can imagine.
