Not back then they weren't. Well, aside from on "The Sports Reporters," but that was only on for a half hour on Sunday mornings and could easily be skipped if you didn't want to hear pretentious columnists give you their asshole opinion.

And their commercials these days aren't funny...they flop most of the time. ESPN did a complete 180 at the turn of the century, going from Midas to the anti-Midas (everything they touch now turns to shit).
