  • The bit starting at 0.08 is the same as the intro to Syd's song "Opel".

  • @eviltimeban I didn't notice that before, but it's true! the complete piece reminds me a bit of Soft Machine's "Joy of A Toy".

  • syd for suffering

  • This song could have been awesome if they had chosen to focus more on it, it would have made a very welcome addition to A Saucer Full of Secrets.

  • Maybe one day they'll pack all these pieces and release an album or so... It would be great!

  • Syd.Near god.

  • 0:00-1:31

  • ouvir syd e lavar a alma de tanta porcaria aparece hj em dia valeu

  • wow, I can't imagine why this amazing work of art was never released!

  • Syd was such a genius with guitar and song lyrics it's to bad his mind was half blown with drugs, but then that was the 60s. And like many we thought drugs were a gateway to mind expanding!

  • where can i get the full version then?

  • after i quit drugs, i thought "im gonna miss that feeling and i'll never see the daylight of it in soberriety again".. and then you have msuic tracks like these.. And basically every other floyd songs. cheers..

  • Reminds me of the tune of the song Roger Waters was describing Syd was trying to explain to him in the Syd dvd. "Do you get it yet" over and over, but the tune kept changing, Roger couldn't figure it, but I think it dawned suddenly... 'It' keeps changing, do you get it??????

  • @randoolymiester

it was "have you got it yet?", not "did you get it yet"

    lol

  • @BeakieTheMuppet

    got it, or have I....?

    lol

  • @randoolymiester

    nice.

  • @BeakieTheMuppet Whatever,no body got it!

  • This should've been included on the second side of Piper at the Gates.

  • @polvotone Which if it was recorded in September of '67 is after Piper came out. But I do agree, in that i'm 99% certain that this is a Syd era Pink Floyd track, and not a fake. I guess there's a fairly good chance we'll know for certain when Pink Floyd get around to putting out immersion box sets of Piper and Saucerful.

  • @dgsyd1 An Immersion box set of Piper? We can live in hope, but I think Discovery is as far as they'll go.

  • @Jarren202 Apparently there's probably going to be an immersion set of the first 2 albums in 2012. Almost certainly containg this track, as well as "Scream Thy Last Scream", "Vegetable Man", "In The Beechwoods", and "John Latham". This is according to Nick Mason.

  • @dgsyd1 Definitely keeping my fingers crossed. It's good that the info is coming from Nick too.

  • PS the the below

It got lumped into being a syd's floyd track around the time the Beatles You Know My Name, Look Up the Number was rumored to have Syd on it (again not true). Also years ago, a yahoo group did a 10 CD fan based collection of hard to find tracks (eventually distilled by a bootlegger in Japan calling it by the fan based title HAVE YOU GOT IT YET) and one of the discs (For completist sake) had the fakes and mislabled syd stuff - this track being one of them.

  • There have been many sources that have said this song is wrongly attributed to Syd's floyd. Sunshine has also been attached to a song from Piper (totally blanking on it now), kind of like the so called lost song Snowing is really The Gnome (read A Very Irregular Head by Rob Chapman for a good bio on syd). Sunshine is not even mentioned in the index, whereas after flaming you get the AKA snowing in parenthasis). Unless some new info has surfaced, this IS NOT a floyd track.

  • @100dollarklaatubid As far as i'm aware this is a Pink Floyd track called "No Title", recorded on September 4th 1967. The complete track is just over 4 minutes long. It wasn't finished at the time by Pink Floyd, but was considered a possible candidate for further work during Syd's earliest solo session in May 1968. It was leaked by longtime Barrett fan Bernard White.

  • @dgsyd1 It has also been written that part of the work you have mentioned became part of Matilda Mother. Also, not sure if they are still around, there was a yahoo groups devoted to syd that among the collectors they did a 10 CD set (9 audio one video VCD) fan boot called 'Have you Got it Yet?' that became the foundation of the japanese boot of the same name. There is a disc with this track and it was confirmed that this is not a floyd track. this from various 'close sources'.

  • @100dollarklaatubid I think it was David Parker, author of the excellent Random Precision who has said that this track is most likely (but not definently) from the September 4th 1967 recording session. The bootlegged track coming from a tape made for Syd's solo sessions on May 6th 1968. It'd be a shame if it did turnout to be a fake though, as I rather like it.

  • @dgsyd1 No way is this a fake.

  • anyone notice the intro on organ is the same as the opel intro on guitar?

  • Though it's not good quality, I like it too. Feels like sunshine... kinda groovy <3

  • SUENA MISTERIOSA....

  • @TORTUGADEAGUADULCE caps lock on...seriously dude, take a chill pill

  • hurry on sundown stop asking me to justifie

  • hurry on sundown

  • Someone told that God is used to talk us through the fools.. those who are thousands years ahead us...Barret will have the most deserved glory till the men will love the music with an emotional meaning and evocative power...now is the time of the rap/crap...alas !!

  • I love Sid! Everyone always wants to cry or bitch about him or for him. Fuck that! He ruled. He knew it.

  • 1:31 only, but typically Floyd

  • I have never met a Floyd song I didn't like (as long as it has Waters)

  • Moraisito Ametista - The best...

  • oh my god this is great!

    thanksss!!!

  • Pink Floyd wrote "Dogs".

  • @BrokenChair88 That they did

  • I'd love to hear this played on a pipe organ.

  • Has anyone heard the early demo track 'Double O Bo' from 1965?

  • Love this song! Very groovy! I wish they would clean up the recording and release it - amazing!

  • The title "Sunshine" according to the book "Random Precision"-David Parker(an excellent read on the Barrett years I recommend it!)is actually merely the title for an excerpt of Matilda Mother.

Where is "She Was A Millionaire"?and how about all those unlabeled tracks?

  • Very cool...thanks for posting!

  • Pink Floyd wrote "Dogs".

  • Does anybody know if Syd was left eye dominant or right eye dominant?

I know he was right-handed, so I was a bit curious about this.

  • Does Syd do his lighter trick in this song?

  • Sunshine = Opel

  • 0":39 good pic. ihear there are unreleased syd a track 16 minute log ?has bongos ,percusion and impromptu chanting and a motorcycle sound effect

  • @anonwebserfer It's called Rhamadan, and it's never been released in any form, though I have heard a supposed snippet of it somewhere.

  • what a catchy rythm, I could´t get tired of this

haha, nice picture at 0:49 by the way

  • I only prefer and listen to PF with Syd in it with PATGD being one of THE BEST seminal albums of any genre of all time and this though of dodgy quality sound wise is pretty damn good- for those of you who havent heard it yet listen to Silas Lang.Great psychedelic sounds especially enhanced by and designed for listening to whilst in heightened states of conciousness-as some of you know ;P lol

  • I've got this under another name somewhere. Not played it for ages though as I've got cd's these days of most of the rare stuff that I bought on vinyl years ago.

  • that's pretty frantic

  • Very nice song!

  • gran tema

  • Such a strange, great jam...thanks for uploading!

    Scorching.

  • 'Sunshine' was the name of an edit piece for 'Matilda Mother' so that's not the right title for this, No one knows the real name of it yet.

  • This IS Pink Floyd and was most probably an unused instrumental break intended for the 'Piper' Lp, to loink 2 tracks. Syd never did anything sounding like this solo wise.

  • Un tema innedito , que bueno esta

  • This is why Syd is my all time favorite guitarist. Never heard this one before, thanks!

  • syd barrett is god best guitarist ever full stop

  • best guitarist ever? that's pretty out there. Hendrix?

  • id rather listen to syd

  • @CaseyDFloyd never heard it before??? well then its not your favorite guitarist!!!!

  • the whole song needs to be released

  • An early demo of OPEL.

I wish Syd recorded this song (opel) with Pink Floyd

  • its not a demo of Opel at all!

  • @mlucifersam agreed, but the intro's are similar.

  • Tripy.

  • Nice.

  • i love the beginning

  • WHEN i was in college (which seems like ages ago!) i went out and bought a shirt based on the one syd is wearing at 0:57!!!! I was so obsessed with Syd then, and still am!!!

  • syd is my idol

  • lol alright mate calm down its still a demo demo name for syd track thats all i ment

    sorry x

  • I don't think Pete had anything to do with it.

  • merda tengo los parlantes rotos... TA BUENO?¿ :)

  • the name sunshine was most probably used as this is the demo for the song lets roll another one

    x

  • Yep, lets roll another one.

    Flowers and vegetables.

  • The guitar playing don't sound like Syd....

  • cold of been early david. but its probuly syd

  • Keep in mind, at this time SYD had died. So it's Syd's body, but it's really not him.

  • syd died a few yers ago.he man live a full quiet life .

  • lol some of his best work was after he changed

  • it sounds like gigolo aunt.

  • Listen to the opening, doesn't it sound alot like the opening to Opel?...

  • Whoever gave you a thumbs down is an idiot. The notes are almost exactly the same but played on a keyboard obviously.

  • dudes, this song is called Let's Role Another One... I've got this on a very rare LP called Flowers & Vegetables

  • that is the name I am familiar with as well. I don't know who named it that, whether it was the band or someone who illegally recorded it and sold it, but nonetheless that is the title I know.

  • Just because a bootlegger makes up a name for something doesnt mean it's right!!

  • Sounds like something that would have been at home somewhere on the "Animals" album. "Sheep" perhaps.

  • like a lucifer sam ?

  • Where the hell did someone get all these amazing early Pink Floyd tapes? I've been a PF fan since 1971 and I searched high and low and never found anything like these tapes.

  • You can get the program called "youtube downloader" download this video , and then in the same program covert it to an Mp3 audio file. thats how can you get PF songs that exist on youtube , but not just them ,any video from youtube you can get it ,and if you want convert it to Mp3 Audio file.

  • Ugh, crap sound, get the original CD file!!

  • Just get Have You Got It Yet CD series. It's easily available and has been for years!

  • OPEL

  • reminds of lucifer sam + one of these days, listen to the background guitar

  • great very nice good job grazie camarade

  • this is actualy suposed to be after the edit in matilda mother at about 1:58

  • To me it has that "one of these days" feel to it, considering that came some 4 or 5 years later.

I love the sound, nothing like it

  • Great to hear an early Floyd song Unfamiliar to me,I think it was definately their most interesting period

  • dude this is amazing xD trippy as crazyness

  • i like it...

    hey we're practically twins.

  • U mean Floydrix - Floydylan

    yes cool

U listen great music Jimi is one of favorites

  • @Floydylan84 Where could I find all of these songs to download?

  • @kirkpatrick321 There's a three-part torrent with all of Pink Floyd's unreleased songs, a lot of their live concerts and their studio material. It's on TPB and it's like 27GB in total. It's very fascinating to hear the evolution of the band through all of these songs.

You could also get "A Treeful of Secrets" which is like a gigabyte and a half and has all their studio stuff that wasn't released on their albums. It's also included in the torrent mentioned above.

  • @fukyous what's TBP?? Can you send me a link please! :)

  • @MetallicaMaidenFloyd The Pirate Bay is a site where you can download pretty much anything for free.

  • @Floydylan84: Did you ever hear of HELP (Hendrix + ELP) It was in tha making, but, sadly he died before it came to fruition.

  • just for curiousity:

is that version the life version or studio version 'cause this is circa about 90 seconds and the full length is 4 seconds.

  • 4 seconds!?

    hmmm...

  • I meant 4 minutes.

    -sorry :P

  • lol...

anyway I know of a longer version but don t know of a live version

    cya :)

  • "The bootlegged version is 90 seconds long"

-you talked að 'bout the bootleg version above in the info ;)

  • The intro is for Syd's released song.....'Opel'

  • why are you replying me? :)

  • @Vatnsaeta yes it must be the life version )

  • I heard the floyd have the full version of this tucked away somewhere, but won't release it....

  • Either Dave or Roger didn't feel it is good enough quality (like the wall live video that roger keeps in "his basement"), or Dave just thought that it would be more intrusive to Syd's life (Dave was very persistent about leaving Syd alone)

  • David Gilmour doesn't have any say in the matter, when it comes to anything Pink Floyd recorded before he joined. He's said on a number of occasions that he has no onjection to "Vegetable Man" coming out, but it's not up to him.

  • Ok, it's not up entirely to him, but he has some sway in it being David Gilmour.

  • to be fair it's a bit pants, though isn't it, unless you like the sound of muffled demos

  • Gothic as well as The Cure, incredible.

  • awesome song!

  • very cool song

  • thanks man!
