  • I really wanna go to nyc just for this.YUMMY!!!

  • katz's employees have never been rude to me............some of them seem to go out of their way to be nice

  • To you newbies, ask them to put mayo on it and see what happens.

    ; )

  • The food is absolute amazing - everytime I go to NY, I have to eat there.

BUT - the people who work there - the most unpolite in the world :/

  • @scotty3341 Lol welcome to New York baby :3

  • @scotty3341 Well it's true to say that NY people lack class... but I guess considering everything that's available in NY at a drop of a hat, it's a small price to pay. It's a shame though, manners cost nothing. They do require thought though.

  • Can't wait to eat there!!! Goin' to NYC in December and must visit this legendary deli for the pastrami rueben Mmmmmmmm.........and of course the When Harry Met Sally table! haha. A must see for chick-flick lovers like me. :p I looked and several pics and reviews of the food and the positive far outweigh the negative....so excited!

  • I moved from NY 2 Ohio n when people buy from my deli(pastrami, corned beef) I say"nothhin laik Catz's! ...don't foaget chya" rye bread, slaw, baby swiss n Russian dressin"I'd move back n go ta the deli in a heart beat!...f'n certified chef that moved from NY to Ohio.....I love my wife! lol yippee

  • it's more like pastrami meat with bread as side dish, if you look at the amount

  • Now i am hungry,, I want one with a pickle

  • I HAVE a ruben sandwich when i snowbaord at Heavenly Ski Resort . They dont look as good as Katz Deli.

  • Now that 's how to eat! I have not had the honor of eating at this famous place, but would never pass up the chance! Long live Katz's Delicatessen!

  • That pastrami looks mouth watering...Out here in cali the pastrami is just meh. Weakish.

  • worth every penny

  • I had only the hot dog for a while, cause the pastrami was $11! Then I finally folded .... and was so glad I did. One of the best tasting sandwiches I ever had. So so good.

  • @Stargraph81

    $11? I paid $15 for mine D:

  • @iownstan lol whats funny is that there tuna salad is $9.50 and sandwiches are from 10bucks to like 15 to 16

  • $15 for a pastrami

  • too bad they dont make sandwich they way they used to

  • i wounder is it made out of cats?

  • @Bogdan841 if it is i would beat them up.but no its not

    :P

  • I always go there for the exact same thing:two potatoe knishes and a hot pastrami sandwich with mustard.

  • how much for one pastrami sandwhich

  • As far as big-@ss delicious sandwiches go, I'd put Arthur Bryant's of Kansas City ahead of Katz any day.

    I'm a little biased though.

  • The ruebens sandwich at Katz is worth the trip to NYC alone.

    I'm a little biased though

  • Iwant i want!!

  • Dangit! I miss Katz's so much :( Just lookin' at that pastrami sammich makes my mouth water :P Don't forget ya chocolate egg cream (hehe... there's neither egg nor cream. It's all good eats :) Thanks loads for the post!

  • I just watched the episode on the travel channel show " No Reservations" with Anthony Bourdain and really look forward to visiting Katz's when I can afford a vacation to New York.

    Jose Medeiros, San Jose, CA

  • i get a half pastrami and a bowl of matzoh ball soup.

    delish

  • how much did that cost altogether?

i plan on getting the exact same thing

  • Yup, yup, excellent video !!!

  • this place is a tourist trap

sure the portions are huge, but the taste isn't as great as people say... I was there recently just so I can say I was there, and the food was bland

  • what u talking about it has the best pastrami ive ever had.

  • mmmm......so good!!!!!!!!

  • here is yo bigass sandwich

  • ....The first time I went to NYC I went to Katz, the sandwiches are huge!! What is knishes? Ive heard the word before but no idea what it is!!

  • it usually potato with other fillers in a fried or baked dough. popular street food in nyc.

  • Took me almost 59 1/2 years to get there and boy did I miss out! Worth the trip, and check out the Lower East Side too.

  • that was the first place I ate at when I went to NYC. I've never had a sandwich that big haha.

  • is that the same Katz' like the ones they have in Houston and Austin Texas?

  • nope. there is a sign inside that says something like "this is the one and only original katz's deli, we are not affiliated with any other restaurants"

  • Katz is ill son!

  • i am hungry

  • do they serve any Sephardic food in Katz's?

  • I don't think they actually prepare their pastrami in store like they do in Schwartz's in montreal

  • yep they do. they marinade the pastrami for 2 weeks before smoking it. all on the premises.

  • oh awesome have to visit that place then :)

  • yep they sure do. always have.

  • Schwartz' is crap.

  • im going to katz this weekend.

  • just get the pastrami sandwich..

  • Sorry, but I dont like Kat'z deli. It has to be one of the most overrated places ever in NYC. I just dont like it. The deli's in Boro park, Crown heights, Flatbush are far superior than Katz. And whats uo with that shit where you lose your ticket you get charged $ bucks?! I lost mine once and told them to go fuck themselves.

  • Katz's IS GREAT!

  • Katz is the single best pastrami sandwich in the world. It does NOT suck.

  • Katz sucks.

  • ya, your write it does. hahah

but not as bad as that wack-ass isreali claymation you found.

  • katz is homo
