absolutely right, Liatoshynsky is a Ukrainian composer. he has nothing to do with Russia whatsoever where he only spent 3 years of his life in 1941-1943 during the WWII as an evacuee. born in Zhytomyr, educated in Kyiv where he lived and died, used Ukrainian folk music material throughout his works. how come can you call him Russian? have Lysenko or Revutsky become Russians too? or Russia is everything to the East of Berlin? I'm sorry guys, but this is ridiculous
I wish whoever gave this video a negative rating would comment on their reason for the low rating. Is it the performance? This is the only recording I know of, a Russian import, too, but I realize the quality is poor. Is it the music? I guess I could always upload a Chopin ballade instead since we don't hear them that often...
whoever gave it a low rating was probably just basing their opinion on the introductory bars ... I dislike those attitudes .. anyways I appreciate you uploading this ..... It's nice to hear something new for a change ..please NO chopin ballades ...
Crazy? It's individualism, but not exactly unique just for the arrogant sake of being unique. This composer has real character. One thing, though. Almost the entire thing sounded as if it were the climax.
maybe they were just impatient. After my first listen, I got past the introduction and thought "wow, that is a minute of my life I will never have back again" but after listening to it again, the beginning leading to the rapid left hand is perhaps my favorite part
@Hexameron Probably the music. It is tremendous noise and I have to admit I reacted negatively too. But I want to thank you so much for the work you do because I've given you many thumbs up on the obscure, wonderful music you bring us.
What a refined harmonic taste! Really interesting work. Thank you for sharing it.
