  • Amen I had to watch this incredible documentary again. I'm so inspired by it & one of many things that I want to always remember is to give ALL of my pain & sadness to the Lord. Not to hold onto the misery because only the Lord can rid us of it. Stay in prayer, faith, & repentance. Love Jesus with our whole being & love/help our neighbors. In the name of the Lord show compassion & love for our fellow man always. We'll all get to paise Gods name in Heaven together one day. God bless & I ♥ you!

  • @msdogooder amen well said

  • Jesus talked more about hell than heaven, what ru talking about kid?

  • To believe in Hell, is to submit to the authority of God. This concept is in direct opposition to human nature. Notice that most folks believe in heaven, but not Hell? Its easy to "believe" what you want. Its easy to believe the Bible as Gods words, but NOT so easy to accept. People will rationalize sinful behavior however they can, but being truly honest with oneself, can only be achieved through the conviction of sin, which comes from The Holt Spirit, but believing just isnt enough.

  • If anyone has questions about how to be saved and know God, please feel free to send me questions and I'll gladly answer your questions :)

  • Jesus,Muhammad, Mousa they were smart guy to build the religion on fake belives. In old time people were dumb so they came on stories like there is a Man sitting on the sky and watching every singel person. The first Question you should ask yourself is why we cant see the God our Creator? Jesus maybe lied because he was human too.

  • "5 For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all" Ecclesiastes 9:5

The bible doesn't back up the idea of a hell. Only quotations taken out of context and mistranslated bibles back up the idea of a hell.

  • Based on what I have studied about the bible, the bible doesn't talk about hell. Some inaccurate translations of the bible do talk about hell, but those bibles often contradict themselves. For example, Job wanting God to conceal him into She'ol (often translated into hell) so that his suffering would finally end.

The word She'ol is Hebrew for the common grave of humanity. Not hell. It;'s a grave.

  • @YearningForHonesty What does Matthew 13:42 mean to you? "For they will be thrown into a fiery furnace where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." Also, Luke 13:28: "There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, for you will see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets in the Kingdom of God, but you will be thrown out." Which translation of the bible is correct and not mistranslated? May you know the truth and may the truth set you free!

  • @3in1Triunity I will answer that. It is about the prophecy of the end of the age of the old covenant and Gods judgment on Judea. Literalists use these verses for their hell belief nonsense. The teachings of Christ were spoken only to Jews, not gentiles. If there was a hell, He would of taught the gentiles as well out of love and mercy for them. The spiritual teachings of this prophecy are also found in Matt 3:10 and in Luke 16 in the parable of Lazerus. Paul speaks of this event in 2 Thes.

  • Christ does not force Himself on anyone. The decision to accept or reject Him is ours. He makes an invitation to all. He entreats us to come, take a look. Psalms 34:8 says 'Oh taste and see that the Lord is good'. As children of God we are not to abuse or denigrade those who reject Him or find it impossible to believe. That is a journey for each individual to must make, if we choose to. We only have to engage in an honest, open conversation with Him and as He wills, He will engage with us

  • HELLLLLLLLL IS HEAREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE IN THE EARTHHHHHHHHHH why would a good man go to hell just couse he doesen t belive in god the man who didn t harma no one and i agre HELL DOES NOT EGSIST MOST OFF USS SUFFER ON EARTH AND THEN SUFFER FOR ALL ETERNETY just doesen t make no sence

  • Is this cristianity?

  • Jesus the Christ is the answer----to everything

  • Ironic that Hell, Damnation, and Destruction are talked about more in the Bible than Heaven. God wrath is talked about more than his mercy....apparently God is trying to tell us something, live with him not apart.

  • Proverbs 27:20 says,"hell and destruction are never full" with the 5 billion people in this world today, majority of these people are going to hell because they do not believe in Jesus Christ's propiation for the sins of man by the blood He shed in the cross in Calvary. If anyone trusts in Christ, Christ assures him of forgiveness of his sins and eternal life in heaven.

  • @csumaliexport

You are correct...If Hell in fact exists, you and all your Christian friends will find yourselves there...You are the plague of this world...When Christians ruled the planet it was during an era referred to now as the "Dark ages"...Your ignorance and stupidity has ruined the lives of far too many for you to escape the fires of Hell...You better rethink what you believe imbecile...According to the bible YOU will be raped tortured and sodomized by deranged beasts of satans design.

  • sooooooo many fools.

  • The lady at 2:37 (metaphysical) stated that how you feel is what heaven will be like. If you believe you're a good and happy person and have a god source within you, that's where you go and then she states that she believes that there isn't a place where you're penalized and full of fire. She's left something out, if someone doesn't believe that they're a good person, then what??? She conveniently leaves that out. Some really crazy beliefs out there based on nothing. I feel sorry for them.

  • 0:52 If you ask me, burning for all of eternity is my worst fear.

  • So many people deceived. So sad. Whether you believe it or not, heaven and hell do exist and if you ever study out of body after death experiences, there are always only 3 scenerios: A bright radiant light full of peace and love, a floating up and they get zapped in the body, or a great fear, burning and darkness with a terrible senssation. Even people from other parts of the world that do not believe in God and have never really heard of Chrstianity report one of those 3 scenerios.

  • This is the God of modern day christianity. If you do not believe in Him, He will throw you in a deep dark pit, filled with demons, fire and brimstone and torture you forever and ever.

    But He loves you anyways.

  • @SwordofManticorE ALL THESE FOOLISH PEOPLE KNOW NOTHING OF THE WORD OF GOD. THEY ALL HAVE THEIR "OPINIONS" THEIR OWN "BELIEFS" THAT THEY HAVE MADE UP IN THIER OWN MIND TO MAKE THEM "FEEL GOOD."

    FOOLISH MANKIND.

READ WHAT GOD SAYS ABOUT HELL

GOD IS CLEAR: " FOR WHOSEVER WAS NOT FOUND WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE WAS CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE (HELL)."

JESUS IS CLEAR: " YOU MUST BE 'BORN-AGAIN' TO ENTER THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN."

MOST WILL ENTER HELL AT DEATH AND BURN FOREVER

  • @justcruzzinn So tell me why these people preach about a place called hell?

  • @SwordofManticorE

THEY PREACH AGAINST A PLACE CALLED HELL BECAUSE THEY DO NOT KNOW THE WORD OF GOD JUST LIKE YOU.

SO I WILL TELL YOU WHAT GOD SAYS ABOUT HELL SINCE YOU NO NOTHING OF GODS WORDS EITHER. ( DON'T BE UPSET SINCE MOST OF MANKIND DOES NOT READ GODS WORDS EITHER)

LUKE 12:5 But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him.

  • @SwordofManticorE

    MATTHEW 5: 30

And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.

    Revelation 14:10 says, " . . . and he shall be tormented with fire and BRIMSTONE . . ."

Jesus says of the man in Luke 16:

23 "And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in TORMENTS. . . "

    24 ". . . for I am TORMENTED in this FLAME."

    28 ". . .PLACE OF TORMENT."

  • @justcruzzinn And that reason is suppose to mean?

  • @SwordofManticorE

I STATE THE CONTINTUAL WARNING OF A PLACE CALLED HELL 5 SECONDS AFTER YOU DIE..I AM JUST QUOTING YOU WHAT YOUR CREATOR SAYS ABOUT THIS PLACE FOR THE SINFUL MANKIND AT DEATH

MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT THIS: GOD EXSISTS

HE WILL NOT ALLOW SIN IN HIS PRESENCE. AND HE WILL MAKE SURE EVERY HUMAN WILL "REAP WHAT THEY SOW," AS HIS WORD STATES.

GOD WILL PUNISH ALL SIN. SINCE YOU WILL HAVE FULL AWARENESS AT YOUR DEATH, YOU WILL SEE HELL, FEEL HELL AND BURN IN HELL FOREVER

  • @justcruzzinn So to avoid hell, all one has to do is worship God? Is that why you preach about hell? So if anyone who worships God to avoid going to hell, they will be saved?

  • @SwordofManticorE

BROTHER, PLEASE KNOW THAT I JUST "WARN" WHAT GOD HAS SAID IN HIS WORD SINCE THE BEGINNING OF TIME....IT IS NOT "WORSHIPING" GOD THAT WILL GET YOU INTO HEAVEN.

IT IS NOT "BELIEVING" THE FACT THAT GOD EXSISTS.

IT IS NOT "GOING" TO CHURCH OR BEING A "GOOD OLD BOY."

    YOU MUST BE "BORN-AGAIN."

THAT MEANS "CHANGED" AND "BORN" ALL OVER AGAIN IN YOUR HEART/SOUL/MIND.

    A "NEW" CREATURE.

MOST WILL NEVER KNOW THIS "TRANSFORMATION." SADLY....MOST WILL NEVER "GET-IT."

  • @SwordofManticorE HAVE YOU EVER SEEN THE MOVIE FILMED IN 1977 JESUS OF NAZARETH?

IF YOU HAVEN'T JUST BUY IT ON AMAZON, EBAY OR RENT IT...IT WILL HELP YOU TREMENDOUSLY IN UNDERSTANDING WHAT JESUS AND GOD IS ALL ABOUT....THE BEST FILM I HAVE EVER SEEN THAT WILL INDEED "OPEN" YOUR EYES TO THE TRUTH...PLEASE DON'T LIVE YOUR LIFE AND DIE WITHOUT KNOWING WHAT "BORN AGAIN" IS....YOU MAY NEVER HAVE ANOTHER CHANCE AGAIN BEFORE YOU DO DIE ON THIS PLANET...IT WILL BE TOO LATE!

  • @justcruzzinn Yes I believe I have watched that movie, but you still havent answered my question. If a man takes the warnings of your doctrine of hell seriously and worships God to avoid hell, is he saved?

  • @SwordofManticorE

NO HE IS NOT SAVED...YOU MUST BE "BORN AGAIN." WORSHIPING GOD IS DONE BY MANY WHO ARE NOT "BORN AGAIN." MOST CATHOLICS, METHODISTS, MANY BAPTISTS, ETC....MANY "RELIGIOUS" PEOPLE WEEK AFTER WEEK "WORSHIP" GOD, AND ARE NOT SAVED... HERE IS WHAT GOD SAYS ABOUT MANY WHO PROCLAIM TO "WORSHIP" HIM:

    MATTHEW 7:22

On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’

  • @justcruzzinn So what good is a warning if it cannot save anyone?

  • @SwordofManticorE

THE WARNING CAN SAVE MANY...JESUS WARNING IS THAT "YOU MUST BE 'BORN AGAIN' TO ENTER THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN

    THAT IS THE WARNING

IF YOU DIE WITHOUT BEING 'BORN AGAIN,' YOU DIE IN SIN

AND THE WRATH OF GOD WILL ABIDE ON YOU

BUT MOST WILL NOT TAKE SERIOUS THAT WARNING..NOR SEEK OUT THE TRUTH OF LIFE...NOR SEEK OUT WHAT BEING 'BORN-AGAIN' MEANS.

THAT SOUNDS LIKE YO.SADLY...AND MOST OF MANKIND

THE ENTIRE WORLD PERISHED IN NOAHS DAYS TO HELL

  • @justcruzzinn How does anyone get born again when they take the warning seriously?

  • @SwordofManticorE

DO this: TYPE IN THIS EXACTLY AS IT IS HERE ON YOUTUBE:

Jack Chick - The Light Of The World (MAKE SURE THE VIDEO THAT COMES UP IS BY: marcoponcedotcom )

IT IS ABOUT AN HOUR LONG, BUT IT IS UNBELIEVABLE....WATCH IT AND IF YOU STILL DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW YOU CAN MISS HELL, CONTACT ME HERE DIRECT ON YOUTUBE....JUSTCRUZZINN

  • @SwordofManticorE

    MATTHEW 7: 23

And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me (IN HELL), you workers of lawlessness (SIN).’

    MATTHEW 7:24

"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

Because you are a sinner, you are condemned to death. “For the wages [payment] of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). This includes eternal separation from God in Hell.

  • @justcruzzinn Wow, if death is the only price for being a sinner, I eccept it openly, But as for your nonsense about hell and total seperation from God. Psalm 139:8If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.

Why was I condemed to die once? Because of the disobidience of the first Adam. Why am I justified? Because of the obidience of the second Adam (Christ).

  • @SwordofManticorE

PHYSICAL DEATH..IS AT THE END OF LIFE. GOD WARNS OF "HELL" OVER AND OVER

Notice the use of the word “fire,” which denotes that the fire of Hell is as literal as the place itself. Repeatedly our Lord and the apostles spoke of the fire of Hell.

Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire Jude 6, 7

  • @justcruzzinn John 6:63 the words that Christ spoke were spiritual, not literal. If we were to take Him literaly, there would be real four legged wolves running around in sheeps fur. Your interpretation of God's word is filled with destructive blasphemy. Why? Clearly the person who accepts the Church as an infallible guide will believe whatever the Church teaches. You are no ecception. You follow the doctrines of Rome, and therefor are part of her.

  • @SwordofManticorE

And be sure that the body will share with the soul in its suffering. Jesus said: “Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation” (John 5:28, 29 WHATS IN THE GRAVE? THE BODY! THAT WHICH is buried in the grave will come forth to be damned eternally.

  • IT's not about Believeing in Jesus christ or accepting Jesus Christ or recieveing Jesus Christ....the demons believe that much....it's wether or not your a disciple/a learner or follower or the commandments of Jesus Christ and do you believe He took your sinlife at the cross....you may like your sinlife, but it will derail you in the end, not only here on earth but eternity.

  • JESUS <3

  • Its so amazing when it comes to heaven and hell how people believe what is comfortable for them. There are gonna be a lot of very sad and sorrowful people when they find out that what all the prophets spoke of is true but that everyone of them must stand naked before the Lord to be judged for what they did during their probation on earth.

  • LOL 1:29 !!!!! "Hell is reserved for just a few really bad people somebody who might commit murder intentionally.." A few bad people?!! I tell you what ,, there have been a lot of people in history and today who have intentionally commited murder!! Just look at our prisons and the backlog of cases in the courts! But there are even worse people than muderers out there! The thing to understand is that there are degrees in every realm. Degrees of realms of glory and degrees of Hell.

  • I feel very bad for anyone who fools themselves into thinking there is no hell. There most surely is and it's every bit as horrible as scriptures say. People think "there can't be such a place, God wouldn't let me go there" you wanna bet?? It's not God's choice! Its YOUR choice and always is. Do you think mercy can rob justice in the universal law? Absolutely not. These are laws that even God can not alter. However, Christ paid the ransom for us thru the atonement. Use it.

  • Where is part 6??? :(

  • good people can go to hell, those who havn't accepted jesus go to hell. good or bad

  • I'll take a NDE eyewitness account over some non NDE religious person's rationalizations any day of the week. At least the NDE experiencer has an excuse for holding his/her views, namely, seeing evidence of some sort. Wheras virtually all non NDE religious people hold their views as an accident, namely, because their parents had them and made them go to church/temple/mosque with them.

  • @nurbSoldier - this is of course assuming that NDE's are not primarily some brain function and that the alleged evidence pulled from them is real.

  • Are You Sure there is no Hell????

You beter pray before you say out....

Dont let people who watch this video got any wrong idea...

    Know what are you saying.....

For me, I know that there is Heaven but also Hell.

is like there is a God and also Satan.......

  • this looks scripted...

  • @TheHXCLee - Man if this is scripted than give that last guy an OSCAR from #4. Just because they reinact it - doesn't make it scripted.

  • @chrislucca007 I meant the interviews of random people on the streets

  • i beilive that if you love god and jesus and beilive in them you will go to heaven but if you dont beilive or murder you will go to hell well i guess we will find out but i beilive what i beilive

  • @nickclark1999 A FooL is right, in his own eyes. What you think is right may be wrong.

  • @nickclark1999 u can believe in anyone buddha jesus whatever as long as your a good person thats all that matter...

  • There is a HELL and people better ge with the program and start looking for the truth in Jesus Christ and come to have faith in our Lord!

  • @ChristianHamOperator Faith is a complete absence of logic, reason, common sense and science.

There ought to be a sign over every church door that says "Abandon logic, reason and common sense, all ye who enter here."

Hell is just a story told to manipulate people into believing.

  • @RapscallionRebellion Okay well thanks for your opinion, God Bless You

  • @ChristianHamOperator Well thanks. Being blessed by your mythical, magical skydaddy has made all the difference.

    Only not.

  • @RapscallionRebellion Okay bless you anyway

  • @RapscallionRebellion I can see you saying the same thing when you find yourself in the midst of the devil and his angels. "What happened to Logic, common sense, and reason?" The answer will come to you. There are such factors, but Jesus is the only one you don't have.

  • @PrettyBoySexy2 There is no such thing as devils or angels. It's like fearing the boogie-man.

Sorry, your little scare tactic is laughable.

  • this guy was just giving a video about god now hes saying hes an athiest?

  • I believe in heaven n hell. Lord help me b faithful to u to the end.

  • prison is full of Christians. there are few non-believers serving time. now why is that?

  • @emperorkang Because prison is a hopeless place. Ever been?

  • @PwnagePC no. you misunderstand me. the are more Christians in prison BECAUSE they believe they can commit all the crime they want and their "magical sky daddy" will forgive them and let their "soul" reside in paradise with them after they die.

  • @emperorkang: actually, there are believers of God that havent commited their life to jesus and are in prison. And youre right god will not let u into heaven without a good heart, and repentance. i hardly doubt a 'real' christian is in prison because of a crime. And i know christian. and correction, its not 'sky daddy' thats disrespectful to jesus our lord and savior. There are many names people call him, religiously, but not 'magical sky daddy' oh and he's not magical but spiritual.

  • @gerrene456

    "he's not magical but spiritual"

Please enlighten me - what exactly is the difference?

  • @PwnagePC Dont say prison is a hopeless place, prison is where some peoples lives can change for the better, time to reflect on what is good in life, A handfull of people.

  • @mikkayo Yeah, then they get out and can't make it on the outside due to the social stigma of having a criminal history, not to mention most of them are mentally stunted as a result of poor child development. You'd need a lot of psychological work to help these people, and yet they scarcely receive it.

The judicial system is an industry, and the return rate of prisoners is over 50%. It's hopeless because it's corrupt, and prisoners are expected to come back to keep it all in business.

  • @PwnagePC yeah true that, but just speaking ov experience im just saying not everyone like that

  • "Ever been [to prison]?"

    @PwnagePC

Amazingly, the innate sense of morality that I as an avowed and unabashed atheist share with my Christian brethren has thus far kept me from committing any crimes. Fancy that!

  • @richardhealy Morality isn't innate, it's learned just as much as immorality is.

  • @PwnagePC

Ah well, can we distinguish between 'a moral sense' which is what I was speaking of, and which I do think is innate, and distinguish that from any one set of moral 'rules' which undoubtedly are transmitted via culture? (The difference between feeling sympathy for the plight of someone's suffering, and deciding that stem cell research sounds promising and *should* be studied.) However I intuit that when you say "morality and immorality are learned" that you mean something different.

  • @emperorkang

Cause we both know blasphemy is a victimless crime! :-P

  • @richardhealy lol

  • LOL oh my God, after watching those sound bites by those random ppl interviewed on the streets. I just realised how ignorant they are....

  • It's sad to see what little faith people have

  • @Langbang2121

On the contrary, if someone tells they have no faith my opinion of them dramatically improves. For faith is the denial of evidence so that belief can be preserved and consequently very silly.

  • The lamb of God is the way to Heaven!

  • I a DID some serious sins in my life so far that I think our lord can't forgive me for...am I a lost one.........Plz Lord forgive me fill me with your love.....will He Forgive me.....

  • @oAINGIRYo no sin is to big for God to not forgive. Just go to him, lay it all out in front of him and he will do the rest.

  • @oAINGIRYo The blood of Jesus is more than anysin committed. God loves you, even when you were committing those sins. God love. Continueously ask him for for forgiveness and forgive yourself also. Keep Jesus in your heart and learn His ways. God bless.

  • I BELIEVE IN HELL AND HEAVEN!!!

  • @VIKING33NY

Good for you. Doesn't make it real.

  • The end of all being is not the happyness of man that is humanism. The end of all being is THE GLORY OF GOD!!! That is christianity.

  • Where is part 6?

  • the guy at 1:00 was saying he doesn't believe the what the Bible says about hell, but then says you'll go to heaven if you live by God's Word. HUH? How can you KNOW what to live if you reject God's word? you just said you don't believe the Bible but now you are going to live by it? Either all of the Bible is true or all of it is false.

  • It still strikes me the people in the video who believed in one but not the other have not thought this through fully.

  • How can you know how to live if you reject god's word?

Easy. It's not god's word. The Bible is a flawed and very human document from which no morality actually derives that isn't available elsewhere or worth having. Will we ever grow tired of being told the 10 commandments make us moral? No. The Bible gets it's morality from us not the other way around. Also not the case: some parts of the bible can be true, just any claims to divine authorship or insight or redemptive morality that is false

  • The 10 commandments don't make us moral. It shows us how every single one of us is guilty of breaking every one of them and being disobedient to the rules that God has commanded of us. Its quite simple. We cannot create morality ourselves because our natural nature is anything but moral. If we are to be moral, we need a power greater than ourselves to guide us in morality, and that power is God's power. Without God we are nothing more than selfish, brute beasts if we are honest with ourselves.

  • @shgibby61981

Hmm. Nope. Not convinced. First of all: Wow - You really have really dim view of our species don't you? Second I am interested in your reasoning. I realise, by asking this I'm going to get a fleet of circular argument, but I do promise I am going somewhere with this: Here's an idea I've been looking to try out. I have 2 questions for you. The first is would it be fair to say that you are saying that we need God to be moral, and without God's morality we get murder, theft etc?

  • thats true to the bone my sister

  • sorry my brother but thats wrong because the Spirit of God used men to write the bible how can a physical being talk about spiritual things unless the Spirit of God is uopn that person

  • @ Joshua.

These comments have become so muddled I'm not sure who's replying to what anymore.

Would you explain again what it is that you think I've got wrong and why positing an explanation that godly powers motivated biblical authorship is a solution?

I find it impossible to form a reply without know more about what your specific objection is.

    Thanks.

  • i dont understand what you re saying

  • Well you said to me: "thats wrong because the Spirit of God used men to write the bible" - could you explain in greater detail what it is you feel I have got 'wrong' - the reason I ask is because these comments are no longer in order so I cannot know to which of my posts you are replying.

  • @ShortandScottish there are a lot of people that believe in heaven but not in hell. there are also people that believe that once they are baptized, they are going to heaven...period. the bible, In My Opinion, is black and white. you can't pick and choose. i agree with your statement that you either believe in the bible or you don't.

  • I was never asked ergo I can have no direct responsibility for a debt which as I have said previously rather takes the form of a threat. And If, as I do, refuse to abide by this stricture to 'believe or else' this monstrous proposition - there then follows eternal damnation and infinite torture because it takes an idea so devoid of actual compassion for the fellow human or any pretence to morality to wish to see visited upon the 'sinner' eternal torment and suffering.

  • You ask a pertinent question:

Why is it their fault because God made us?

Well quite. In Fulke Greville's unforgettable line told that we are created sick and commanded to be well. In my own case the flaw is an inability to be believe in bovine excreta.

To cap it off - the Christians usually embellish this malicious idea with the thoroughly immoral practice of vicarious redemption and human sacrifice - an act I find myself unable to either accept or recommend.

    contd...

  • I've an interesting thought experiment I'd like to go through with JD and WG about how murder is punished or indeed rewarded if they ever get back to me about faith v works,

You might be interested to know even the godly murder. For instance Moses in Exodus 3 kills an Egyptian, goes on the run and completely gets away with. All true. Well actually completely made up but it's in the bible. Which amounts to the same thing usually.

  • angela1375

As a slave to your confusion let's get this straight. There is no hell just as there is no heaven populated with gods or demons, subdivided into circles, purgatories, limbos and the like. So the question is purely hypothetical. There is, frankly, nothing to worry about.

    contd.

  • and how could you possibly claim to know for sure. If I am wrong, I lose nothing when I die. I am dead.

But, If you are wrong and all those wacked out religious people who believe in God are right, what do you gain?

  • @shgibby61981

Ah Pascal's Wager. Covered that one. Scroll down, I think it was YunginSpirit who last raised that hoary old shibboleth.

You're wrong by the way and I do go on at length about exactly why.

  • @shgibby61981

Also I don't claim certainty. Sureity always seem to come from the other side and in this pattern:

    You can't know for certain.

    However (insert opinion)

In this case (insert opinion) is a rerun of Pascal's Wager about the purpose and utility of belief.

And it's as unconvincing now as it was when Pascal first proposed it.

  • no you dont die and thats it because you have a soul and your soul is the real you it ll be judged based on what you did on this earth if you believe in the name of jesus christ the only son of God

  • there is heaven and hell, satan trys to temp anyone who is at ends of life.

So Satan doesn't temp anyone at any other point?

    Seems like a missed opportunity.

  • I must believe, must I? What will happen to me if I don't or believe in something else? I've been baptised does that count? How sure are you both that the flavour of Christianity in which you invest is the correct one - or all all variations equal? What about Jews?

Muslims think Jesus will return and convert everyone to Islam and isn't the son of god. That's a belief in Jesus - are they wrong?

  • Joydarling, WickyGirl

So you both agree I presume in t justification by faith alone, that it is impossible to enter heaven through works for instance?

  • Have I been missed? It seems things have returned to normal in my absence. By 'normal' I mean entirely predictable calls to repentance by the godly to us poor godless heretics. A phrase chosen advisedly:

For your enlightenment: "Heretic"'s root is in the Greek word 'hairetikos' which meant 'able to choose' before it ever meant 'following a false doctrine' - and I presume it needs no emphasis from me who probably wished those who thought differently needed labelling.

    Heretic and proud of it.

  • This video series is religious propaganda made by Christians to keep people believing out of fear.

  • What gets me confused is that if murderers , bad people, drug addicts, suicide etc. go to hell. Why is it their fault because God made us. We aren't born with the thought of I hope I am a murderer someday. It just happens. Something is wrong with that person. But God made that person. IDK- I'm very confused.

  • replying below. Just FYI.

  • there is heaven and hell, satan trys to temp anyone who is at ends of life. He is jackass and lier all who follow him are cowards and fools.

  • You never know what actions you take in life can cause the death of any number of people. Any selfish act could potentially harm another person or even kill them. Life is a domino effect. Maybe you were lazy at work and didn't repair or fix some equipment right or you treated someone wrong and they go nuts and kill someone or themselves. People need to be careful because if you live a selfish life you will probably go to hell.

  • @jignc1984 Very true. Great comment. Thanks.

  • You must Believe in Jesus Christ he is the only way to Heaven. Thank You Jesus:)

  • Amen.

  • Ditto.

  • Replying below - just letting you know.

  • @joydarling314 whatever

  • @joydarling314; Amen to you brother!!, Hell is real!!! its darl, smells like you can't believe, it is hot, very hot!!! As a Marine and in battle and close to death more than once, by the enemy and by my own hand, it does exist, make No mistake!! If I'm wrong you lose nothing, but if I and so many others are right, you lose all for eternity, hedge your bets go with Jesus and his gift for you, its free, and no worries-Please?!!!

  • @joydarling314 Why does the saviour of the world need anyone's consent to save them?

  • @SwordofManticorE The world had fallen when Eve and Adam didn't believe God that they would die if they ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil they instead believed the lies. When we choose to believe Jesus and trust in him that he will save us we now believe and trust and We are not saved by our works but what he did ( he died for our sins). It is a choice we must make. God wants us to make our own choices. Thanks for asking me this question.

  • @SwordofManticorE When Eve and Adam didn't believe when God said they would surely die if they ate the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil they instead believed the lies. When we trust in Jesus and Believe he died for our sins and we trust in what he said We are saved not by our works but what he id for us and we are redeemed by that and believing on him. Thanks for asking the question.

  • @joydarling314 If it is God's will to save all men (1Tim2:3-4), why is He dependent on our so called free will to save us?

1 Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.

  • @SwordofManticorE sorry about repeating what I had posted I thought I deleted it accidently that's why I commented twice

  • This documentary is just promoting christianity.

  • I Believe, I Believe. People make me sick of trying

to delude the fact that there's is no afterlife of any sorts. Today's western society mentalities. All this intellectual, scientific , modern day stuff. Or if they believe in God, everybody God's to heaven. I thank God I know the truth.

  • there is more to life........nothing dies, all is regenerated, we are trapped in restricticted consciousness, there are other dimensions, existences of souls. The life you lead will reflect the afterlife you lead.

I listened to a lady who was on a remote Irish island........she heard children laughing and this distracted her when she was lost in a storm.

The spirits had saved her life as she was on a steep cliff, the woman believed the children were alive, they were not....no fear

  • exactly: people are lying GOD is real they love to water down the truth if everyone could be evil and still go to heaven well then we wouldn't need jesus.

  • exactly....they had to create a villian (satan) in order to sell this grand story some call christianity.

  • Oh but before I go; something I've been meaning to ask Yung - so this is a good a time as any to interject it:

Judging by your channel, are you by any chance a Mormon?

  • alas, it is late and I can't continue this argument , but I'll resume transcribing my notes tomorrow...

  • To someone such as myself, with an interest in etymology the roots of words have a particular interest. Yung talks of Luciffer (sic) as an "angel of light" and that "god changed his name to Satan (the tempter or the devil.)" I find myself at odds because these definitions have some etymological basis and explanation yet misrepresent (at least as I understand it) the myths of scripture. And let's be clear they are myths but worth understanding properly because yet again I think Yung is wrong!

  • I mean anyone with even a passing interest in literature has probably encountered the images of the devil in Milton or Dante. The idea of the outcast demon In Dante, trapped in a lake of ice, three faces chewing on the traitors, Judus, Brutus and Cassius. The image of the renegade angel owes much of it's detail the poetry of Milton: "Better to reign in Hell, than to serve in Heavn" so goes the poem, but this is precisely what isn't shown in scripture or rather the tone and emphasis shift.

  • Next, I'd like to turn to something else Yung said to me in our last exchange. I've spent a few weeks thinking about it and these are my considered thoughts on the matter:

In reply to my question about whether or not god itself can choose, Yung gave us chapter and verse on Lucifer's fall. Which is ironic, since there isn't really a definitive chapter and verse the references to 'the devil' and the common view of the myth are in fact spread out and from multiple and non-biblical sources. contd

  • i agree.

  • the celestial dictator isn't real, nor the circle of Hell reserved for those whom Blaise Pascal so condescended as being "so constituted as they cannot believe." (I think he meant me) doesn't exist.

That our innate moral conscience and conscious ability are rooted in material domains of neurology and evolutionary biology and are no more the preserve of divine mandate that I will be tortured for eternity for having the temerity to say: "I was not convinced."

  • and yet we are free to choose, nay compelled. I've mused on this before, I'm sure: I am told I am condemned in camera through events preceding my birth my allegedly several thousand years, and the best I can hope for is to worship at the feet of my malignant benefactor out of a spirit of abject servility, for if I exercise my free choice and conclude from the paltry evidence and argument on offer that contd..

  • I even consider that a superficial argument since it relies of a number of presumptions about the fiction contained in Genesis. There are better arguments to be had about the origin of morality.

To return to my earlier theme: we are told we absolutely cannot escape from this system. This is why I expect someone to object to Remonism on the grounds that 'we are all sinners. We all fall short of god's standards.'

    contd.

  • My point is, it is incoherent to suggest that from this entity flows a moral standard that is absolute. Which is why Remonism's point question about what is a good person has the force that it does, because we can be sure as sure is that the responsibility for moral choices isn't derived from the Bible or the god that haunts it's pages.

  • Yahweh made Adam and Eve without the knowledge and skill they needed to avoid this kind of persuasion and yet created a snake who could do it and left his charges alone in its presence. That is entrapment.

These are but a few of a long line of crimes and misdemeanours that are attributable to god in the Bible, some long after such deed were outlawed in Exodus. Consider the book of Job where god wagers with Satan to murder Job's family.

  • (Another example of the argument that what is immoral for humans is moral for god.)

Yahweh is supposed to be omnipresent, everywhere, but he was absent entirely when the talking snake came along. Eve was left to make a decision which she did not have the experience to make effectively. Yahweh failed to adequately protect his children. That is incompetent parenting.

  • They did not know the difference between right and wrong/ good and evil until they ate the fruit of the tree which provided them with that knowledge. Therefore they could not have known that it was wrong to disobey god.

Since Eve did not know what lying was she believed the talking snake when it told her that she would not die if she ate the fruit from the forbidden tree. After she ate the fruit she realized that the snake was telling the truth and Yahweh had lied: she did not die. contd.

  • We have no say in this system, it is imposed and from out of the depths of some ludicrous and imagined history, I am told I am condemned outright and ex post facto after the incident with the talking snake. but here we see the incoherence in microcosm:

God told Adam and Eve that they must not eat the fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil or they would die.

    contd.

  • and for this reason: for we are told it knows our thoughts. It knows our innermost thought and sits in judgement upon us. But by what right does it do this?

Yung seems to think that Heaven is democratic. I disagree, as I am repeatedly saying both because I think this conflicts with reality (there is no god, no heaven it's all false - and thank goodness) but I think Yung mischaracterises his own religion because if one thing is abundantly clear: heaven is not a democracy!

  • Regarding free will and determinism, which has been our subject of late, what one of our resident theists will no doubt shortly show up to tell us, is that god gave us free will.

Which brings us back to the incoherence of their position, because we are told we live under this celestial dictatorship of observations, some have from the moment we are conceived, and that this state of even persists after we are dead. This is an intolerable imposition that is in every sense totalitarian contd.

  • why wouldn't this entity reward a sceptical attitude, or at least one concerned with identifying what was really true, than one who obsequiously believed; in the case of the wager - as a matter of hedging one's bets - or more generally, people who believed out of a shallow and unquestioning gullibility. Which in that hypothetical is the most satisfying believer to a god who invites and judges belief?

  • Oh I wouldn't call Yung coherent. ;-) But at least his rebuttals do have the merit of coming in complete sentences and without a riot of scriptural quotations or excessive use of exclamation marks!!!!! Isn't that so DWC? ;-)

Regarding Remonisms' point about the qualities of what makes a good person. I believe that was one of the points I made in addressing Pascal's Wager, specifically assuming god does exist and cares a damn about what we think or do ... contd

  • but it is also down to my personality, every decision that i have ever made before, everything that has ever come before me has led up to the chemical reaction in my brain to make what we see as a "decision". this is determinism. how can i be held morally accountable when every action i make is purely based on the playing out of millions upon millions of chemical reactions? okay, so this doesnt account for probabilistic theories of quantum mechanics, but you still havnt considered it.
