@SerdaJ2 I don't see how the locking up caused him to lose the rear, he was in a perfect straight line even with the locking, but as soon as the BMW touched him, it was game over, rear spun round, nothing to do with the locking.

However locking up the rears into a turn unbalances the car not too mention it probably means he was either braking too hard and/or too late which would precipitate the Bimmer to make contact with his rear. The impact coupled with the poor braking and unstable rear end of the Chevy (especially being free spinning rear wheels in a FWD) created the spin all together.

Yeah it was a good save but in front wheel drive when the car gets as sideways as that you just plant the throttle as hard as you can and the front wheels pull the car out of the spin. No brakes at all or the car will just continue to go round..

@fantafanta he locked up slightly, it was the rather large punt up the ass he got from the beamer that acutally put him sideways, you can see how violently the back end steps out when he gets bumped.

I don't get what all the fuss is about... Was a nice slide but he just planted his foot on the gas, there was no skill involved, and the quarter turn he had on the wheel was not exactly "full lock", any rookie in the same situation would have saved it just the same, if anything he should have kept the place by not turning into the slide...

Same rules. It's cheaper to buy a car already developed by a WTCC team/company and use it in BTCC than create your own. Of course VXR build their own.

I was once in a even worse situation.. at 200kph I hit a rut and lost control, swerving 5-6 times left to right.. completely sideways..
I'm lucky to be alive.. fortunately I was going home from an advanced driving training course..

Same rules. It's cheaper to buy a car already developed by a WTCC team/company and use it in BTCC than create your own. Of course VXR build their own.
