The reason you don't know when to laugh is because you've been hand fed with laugh tracks and your sense of humour is underdeveloped, and thus you can't recognise humour if there are no cues telling you when to laugh. A shame.

Also, satire is not some uniquely Australian humour. It stretches back to ancient Greek dramas.
