  • hey if you feel you are activist how you can play in the movies ,that it is degrading and insulting to iran and iranian how you can, play roles to demonstrate iranian as a terrorist shame on you because just to get money.i a m sorry for you,we are fighting with government not iranin and our country, that you are giving bad name to iran and iranian culture .shame on you

  • From the beginning of he movie "The stoning of Soraya M," I thought she was such a beautiful woman. No make up. nothing. She's also a wonderful actress and activist. God bless her and protect her from ay harm.

  • we are proud her.

  • your appearance as a woman from Iran disgust me khanom Shohreh Aghdashlou

  • @Armita7000 Who on earth do you think you are to judge?

  • She is a bitch.US is promoting her just to pissed off iran

  • @786FH your mums a bitch

  • @JigareTehroon She should be proud of what you stupid? Yeah she should be proud of having american dicks in her ass.

  • @786FH Stupid is your mum, don't talk to me like you know me. Yh that's what you're good at and known for.

  • @JigareTehroon I forgot she belongs from your family lol but still i don't care. Go and get a life you sucker.

  • I do wish the questions had been more about her art and not politics. Still, I am very very glad she won. Like some here have written, she should have won for "House of Sand and Fog" hands down and I think she should have been nominated for Season 4 of "24".

  • Shohreh is so beautiful.

  • If only she could speak a better English, and then she would be able to take part in more serious movies and get more famous. She really deserves it.

  • @shadima100 I think her english is really good but she has a very strong accent.

  • @shadima100 she speaks wonderful english. there is no grammatical error. and her accent is very nice. Speaking 2 completely different language is a gift. and she does it wonderfully.

  • @sabbirsa Technically, she doesn't. English is very well taught and learned in Iran. There are some EFL students who have never been abroad but can speak English as fluent as a native speaker. As Shohreh has lived in the US for decades, we expect her to speak English more fluently, she's got a strong Persian accent affecting her oral performance of the language. Moreover she seems not quite good at more natural and colloquial American English. Yet, I agree she's a great actress.

  • @shadima100 I think she speaks very fluently. she has an accent which many persians do have. And I like that. She was not born there so its natural to have an accent. Her strong accent does not affect her acting abilities at all and the proof of it is right in front of you. she got this prestigious award b/c of her good acting NOT her accent. the jury did not look at that so maybe you need to be a little bit less narrow minded and more open minded.

  • @sabbirsa I don't think labeling me with the word "narrow-minded" is really "open-minded". I never said her accent is affecting her acting skills. What I said was that if she could speak it more fluently, which does not only include the accent but the whole literal meaning of FLUENCY linguistically, she would be able to find more chances to appear in the roles apart from the ethnic ones she has already been famous and acknowledged for.

  • @sabbirsa As you may already know she has just been admired for the roles she has had as an Iranian lady or an Arab one. That makes her range of choices limited. And that's all. Otherwise she has a high qualification and greatly admirable skills in acting and as an Iranian I'm proud of her.

  • @shadima100 this was not the fist time she was admired for her performance. previously she was nominated for an oscar and the critics were confident that she would win it. But to their disappointment that award went to someone else. she was starring with Ben Kingsly. I do not think language is not an issue here at all. b/c there are a lot of famous hollywood stars that had an accent. example, sophia lauren (academy award for best actress winner) who has a thick Italian actress.

  • @sabbirsa don*t forgett academy award winner*s penelope cruz, marion cotillard they have also an accent, but are very good actors :)

  • @EriisquuTeeRjuunqee I never found penelope to be that much of an actor. she is extremely overrated. but you are right. the point you are making is that accent does not matter. is your work that matters. I have seen Shoreh's work and she is a wonderful actor.

  • @shadima100 Her incredible appearance in the movie " The house of sand and fog" could have brought her the academy award if she had already been well noticed. Even her role in that movie was so ethnically Persian, getting the best off her accent as she spoke Farsi most of the film-long.

  • why they are asking her about politic?

  • Politics, politics, politics

The Zionist entertainment industry is buttering her up by giving her these fake awards to stroke her ego & fool her & once they sold her the recognition, they would use her for their vicious propaganda against Iran.

Nice going Ms Shohreh, at least don't sell yourself cheap.

    P.S. Enjoy your terrorist & anti-Iranian roles.

  • @UmmeMoosa1342 The Zionist entertainment industry, What crack are you on?

  • she is a lady with substance fuck all hardliners,

    she is just amazing

  • why they just asking him political things???????

  • i love you so much she is very sweet and nice, from vancouver canada San Marcel.

  • she's so humble

    gorgeous woman.

  • The press is supposed to be smart, accurate in order to inform audiences with the right information. This vid is about HBO''s "House of Saddam". Why don't you correct the mistake? It makes TV Guide look less reputable, less serious than we already think it is. It also seems odd to me that you refer to her by her city of origin, rather than her nationality. It makes me wonder if you know that Tehran is a city and not a country.

Shohreh, what can I say, great actress. One of my faves :)

  • phenomenal artist, actress and humanitarian...you are a true star! you make all Iraniansso proud! THANK YOU!

  • i love her since 24

  • I love you shohre , googosh nemitoon farsi be in ravanie harf bezand, i love your speech.

  • Note to uploader: As someone stated before, this is NOT for The Stoning of Soraya M. (which was a feature film and wouldn't be nominated for an Emmy) as stated in the video description, but rather for the series "House of Saddam".

  • Excellent Actress, amazing woman. Iran should be proud of her. So sad that Iran is so crazy!

  • She's right He should have NEVER Been invited to the US!

  • lay off the smoking !!!!! yea bull shit your voice is like that because you were exicted

  • Damn this interview was very political! I would have loved hearing more about herself.

  • one of the most beautiful AND eloquent actresses out there!!! <3

  • Go Baby Go!

  • I,m sure ,she desreve this award ,she worked and tried so hard ,if everybody will not admire her ,go try to get ,if you have abillity to do like shohre ,nobody prevent you .some poeple used to rejekt all negatively and have no something replace

  • 100% sexiest voice!

  • no silly! i think she has the most sexy voice in the world...hh

  • shohreh we love you . but please stop smoking .....if you do it make us sad...

  • That's too difficult for me to be OK with her play as a terrorist mother with her son named "Behrooz" , an iranian name!

  • nice tits

  • Shohreh we are all so proud of you! This award was much well deserved! Wish you all the Best! :)

  • she's just fab. voice, looks, class. has it all.

  • She is a real DIVA!

  • congrats....its about time

maybe and hopefully this will open more doors for struggling iranian actors in the U.S.A

  • She's so articulate and thoughtful! How many Emmy winners are talking about Brecht in their press conferences?

  • Shohreh is such a fabulous actress! her voice is so sexy and her eyes just have a seductive way about them when you see her act. her performance in House of Sand and Fog and her work on 24 season 4 as Dina are in my opinion her best work.

she is so nice and kind in this interview. and to clarify she won her Emmy for the Mini-Series House of Saddam not for The Stoning of Soraya M, which was a movie that came out in 2008.

  • Shohreh you make us so proud. Congrats darling. You really deserve this.

  • When asked how she felt about winning the award she should of said "It takes place and replaces after being robbed from the Oscars"

  • she was born in 1952 and she looks younger than that

    she deserve the emmy

  • i wish people would focus on HER as an actress rather then how she breathes!! Shohreh is truely fabulous! Celebrate her victory and passion for her craft rather what she sounds like

  • I would like Iran democratize as fast as possible so that Iranian women would wear more sexy and revealing clothes.

  • LOL!

  • that is none is none of your business. You are just to busy watching her breathe than to what she is saying YOU really need to pay more attention to her speech and what she is talking about tupark82

  • I love her voice. Really sexy.
