@Raabamillo No. No way to use filters with the 8mm fisheye unless you had a matte box I guess and held the filters in place in front of the lens?.... Though it's so wide I'm not sure if you'd pull it off. The 8mm has a rounded front lens element and no threads for filters obviously.
I've been searching the internet for hours for an affordable but quality 8mm Fisheye lens for my T3i and somehow came across this beautiful video. Do you remember where you ordered your lens and for how much?
Hi - great video and amazing blue color of the sky. I'm about to film on my 7D also with the Samyang 8mm, and was wondering how you got it that sharp under the sharp sun. I've tried with the Samyang, and it seemed a bit unsharp, because of the high A-value. Do you remember how the settings were during this shoot?
@CaptainStomach Thanks for the comment! Believe it or not I actually was only using the built in mic on the 7d for the audio. I normally would use a zoom h2 if I need to record clean audio and then I sync in post. But for this project I wasn't really recording any dialogue, (except in the shot where my buddy is speaking to the camera.... and in this case the AGC and the built in mic did an awful job and I wasn't able to use the dialogue), so it was fine. Thanks again.
fellow, you was answered so fast ))) thnx a lot (and very sorry about my English i'm from Russia), but still the sound on the beginning so strong and metal, that i thought you use some recorder ))) buy the way recently i will buy samyang 8mm for my canon 7D, what you can tell about this one, i heard he has not good sharpness...what you think about it?
Check Out My Channel, i have few yacht-racing videos, but i have shoot they on CAMERA fx 1000 and now i bought canon 7d and ready to go
@CaptainStomach The samyang 8mm is a great lens for video. It's plenty sharp for 1080p video, it is well built and feels smooth. It's not very fast at f3.5 but it does a great job for video and is very affordable. For still images it definitely drops down in quality... not as sharp and noticeable chromatic aberration at times.
how do you render your videos so that's it's really clear?
I have the same camera (7d) and the same lens, but everytime I get it on Youtube, the video seems to be a little blurred.
What program, settings etc. do you use?
thanks!

I love the clean and crispling (or however i shall explain it ) sound at the beginning. Is it from the built-in mic of the 7D?
Btw. nice video

@jvdude0 It names the song right underneath the number of views of the video. This is a feature Youtube has had for a long time now.
