@IRud3Bwoy Agree. Some cases have inbuilt hdd air cooler, like antec1200. So my three hdd`s lays on steady, idle 23 average celsius at the lowest fan speeds at the front:)

i run my i7 @ 4.5GHz with 1600MHz ram (stock) @1538MHz and the performance is way better @ 1538MHz ram than 2000MHz...

2700MHz from 1600MHz? thats bullshit and show me a video of it perfectly stable, and show benchmarks of how many seconds are saved at those speeds.

my laptop probably runs faster (core i7 720, 8GB 1333MHz DDR3 :D)

Wrong, Water cooling HDD, and/or Ram will:

1. Increase Life of the devices due to less heat

2. improve chance nothing will die due to overheating

3. MOST IMPORTANT higher ram clocks like 16Gbs running at MHz OC'd to 2000MHz

please tell me how many people you have heard of a over heating ssd or hdd?hdd temps don't really get hot even with out a cooler on it,on the hottest days in nyc i see it around the 40s my regular hdd that is.and higher ram clocks is not based off your water cooling if your chips can't handle it simply can't handle it.the only time you should be water cooling is if you are going for a max over clock and you know you can hit those clocks to the point you know temps will be a problem

@MrAMColes yeah i know u can get HDD water blocks for 2.5" drives not sure about 3.25" tho. and as for how hot HDD's get i've had brand new drive get upto 32~45C even with HDD aircoolers, and just incase ur thinking its coz i've got low airflow through my case i've got 3x 120mm (1 front 2 back) 1x 90mm and 1x 80mm on the side and a 90mm in the spare optics expantion bays.

temps on idle seems off but when on load there are mid 60s at 4.2 ghz last 2 cores high 60s

right now my temps are

64 62 64 60 68 and 70 these are temps loaded for 48 hours doing folding at home =)

also gpu for 48 hours straight 50 c
