  • the guy with the torque wrench is right. the equitment DONT FUCKING MATTER

  • you all are wrong DUMB ass,s

  • 1 2 3 4 5 5

  • In the future bolts will be self tightening to the pre-determined torque.

Someone will invent nano motors to go inside the bolt.

Yes, he should brace the torque wrench at the ratchet end.

    Shame on him !

    No Coke for his break.

  • do your engines run long ? I have never seen anyone make it using a torque wrench like that ... totally incorrect . I build cummins all the time and I dont see how you get away with that . You should back up the ratchet end with one hand and rotate slowly so the gasket crushes as you apply torque . You cant just snap it like that especially with one hand

  • just learned this in heavy equipment

  • I found it hard to see. If the head bolts moved before the final torque setting then it was fine.

If not, then there was no way you can be sure the max torque setting was made because the static friction was not overcome.

  • You torqued the bolts improperly. The bolt must be loose then tightened to the specified torque.

What you showed me is the bolts exceeded the torque setting.

  • This is the final torque 77 ft. lbs. The bolts are tightened down to 59 ft. lbs. on the first pass.

  • how much torque pressure do you use?
