I think it's because ducati have always tradionaly made twins and wanto to continue to do so... Japs bikes on the other hand don't really have any traditions
it's true but this tradiction it costs too much... why would i have to buy like... ducati 848 that it cost 12000 pounds while suzuki gsx-r 750 cost 10000 pounds and the last one is heaps better??? it makes no sens...
it's referring to the year...and yes it's still a fucking 1098R...wanna know why...cause it's PRODUCTION racing. They still start with the same 1098R that we "could" buy. Just like the GSXR1000s in WSBK are still GSXR1000s.
i think you're retarded...first off who gives a flying fuck...and secondly...1098R is printed on the side of the bike...it's all over their website and brochures...so...i think you're just an idiot nit picker...my $0.02
The twin is more trackable power. Pistons in a twin also have less velocity - RPM = power. To have the same top end power whilst keeping the power trackable with smooth torque, you need more displacement.
True, and a 90-degree V-Twin fires its pistons in 270- and 450-degree crankshaft rotations, meaning thr's more time for the rear tire to hook up. Honda tried this for their 500cc 2-stroke "Big Bang" GP racer, by firing all 4 cylinders in 70 deg.
Only the S has been available so far. This is the R WSB homologation version. It is a 1200 and will be used for racing but so far that is all the stats tha have been released by Ducati
thats the R? i thought it was the S

That may be true but everything they are doing right now is within FIM regulations.
