  • a koala bear brought me here?

  • Koala loves Cushelle <3

  • this is awesome

  • how many of you look up songs from adverts regularly???

adverts have exposed me to such a variety of songs over the years

  • Such a good song. Makes you happy listening to it.

  • I've searched for this very recording..The Four Knights..was first recorded by Don Howard, late 1940s. This recording was, as you say, 1952-53. I love the voice.I started serching again after the hearing the Cushelle advert. thanks for that.

  • thanks to cushelle advert i found this so so sweet song =)

  • Cushelle!

  • My wife says I'm very much like the koala bear in the Cushelle adverts - lovely song. Will plan a recording of it soon.

  • This song makes me feel so happy :)

  • I love this song so much...

  • had my 7 week old son in my arms and was singing this. it made me cry tears of happiness as he was looking at me

  • you said you loved me

    i love that advert

  • loving the loo roll but loving this tune soooooo much more!!!! xclarex

  • i thank cushelle for bringing this song to my attention... i always find that adverts bring back songs that you normally wouldnt search for... again thank you cushelle

  • @raystarr100 cushelle is the best tiolett paper ever!

  • Cushelle for the win!!!!

  • Jesus i would have loved to have been around in 1950's America!!

  • I really do miss doo wop. It's the best genre of music plus they're usually great love songs as well.

  • me too !!

  • just heard it in some ad and had to find it

  • @dreddlux Same. Its the cushelle advert.

  • Wish their manager would not have demanded an unreasonable amount of money when they were the featured singers on Red skelton's radio program. They fired him shortly thereafter. They were talented and deserved better acclaim.

  • Originally written and sung by Don Howard in 1952. Every DJ in the country said the song was terrible. It made #1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So much for the critics.

It was covered by Lawrence Welk (!!!!!!), the 4 Knights, and the 5 Satins.

Voted one of the worst top ten songs ever. We loved it back in the day!

  • sweet sound! Thanks for putting this up! Check out our video version of the song and please comment!

  • The 5 Satin must have covered this,,this group sounds a little older, actually pre doowop,,maybe around 1952 or so,,DZ from the Bean

  • A common misconception about doowop and vocal groups is that anyone can do it. This group shows why that is so NOT true. Each member is like an instrument and the resulting group is like an instrument - each being refined for the tonic role they play. The proof of The Four Knights greatness is the talented yet minimalist music needed as background and structure.

  • Sweet!
